Itauma is very nimble for his size. Good footwork, fast hand speed. Throws shots straight down the middle and sets up with a jab before he swarms you. Whyte is far more choreographed with big wide shots. Whyte’s best bet is to drag the fight out since Itauma hasnt fought a long fight before, and hope to trade with one of those big winging shots. He should try and target the body but I dont think he will. Despite being the body snatcher, every time ive watched him fight the past few years he does a lot of head hunting, and often overshoots his shots by being too wide, going past their head. He needs to tighten them up. I fear Itauma’s jab will stifle Dillian before he can let loose. It will beat him to the punch everytime. Dillian’s best bet is to overwhelm him and turn it into a war, but Itauma is nimble. He will back up if he feels he’s in danger. So like I said, drag the fight out since Itauma’s never gone more than a few rounds and target the body to slow him down, that’s Whyte’s ticket to victory. Problem is he’s not the most defensively responsible and might get countered hard with this huge winging shots, as Itauma will see that coming from a mile away. I dont think Dillian has been his old self for a while and had a long bout of inactivity. He’s going to have to really flex his experience and grit to pull the victory, but it’s possible.

Some of the most skilled boxers of all time have been heavyweights. I like the lower classes too, but there’s a LOT of unskilled fighters in the top of each division as well. Have you seen how barren some of these divisions are of talent? The guys Inoue is beating arent exactly amazing themselves. Bam’s weight class has some strong fighters sure, but Inoue will have to keep moving up if he wants to fight anyone decent. I still think the sanctioning bodies need to step in before they start getting sued. They need to start enforcing what classes for guys, if someone has to cut 20+ pounds to get in the weight class, maybe that fucker shouldn't be fighting in that fucking weight class. Especially when we have guys rehydrating 15+ pounds between the weigh in and fight night. Sanctioning bodies need to put their foot down and tell guys no, you need to move up or we won't sanction your fights. Things like monitoring weight cuts in the weeks leading up to the fight to avoid crash cuts, doesn't need to be reported to anyone outside of the gym and the sanctioning bodies. Of course people will claim we can't do it because shenanigans or they'll weaponize the rules.
