There's a pdf with the "violations" in the link. tldr, PL introduces multiball with spare balls around pitch on cones to keep game from slowing down too much for ball retrieval, Villa apparently had too many balls/ballboys for the PL's liking who then tossed the balls directly to players rather than placing them back on the cones, and apparently at one point one threw a second ball on the pitch while Spuds' keeper had already picked one up before a goal kick, which Spuds formally complained about. Just some petty shit to make a few bucks while 115 rumbles on for eternity.

Key Reforms
1. Expansion of the Premier League
The Premier League will grow to 32 clubs, creating more opportunities for fans to see world-class football. This expansion will absorb the most competitive Championship clubs, ensuring they benefit from the same elite standards and commercial opportunities as the top flight.
2. Streamlined Promotion and Relegation
To maintain stability, promotion and relegation between the Premier League and the development system (formerly the EFL) will be phased out. Instead, an affiliate model will be introduced, allowing promising lower-tier clubs to partner with Premier League sides for player development.
3. Premier League Development System (PLDS)
The EFL will be rebranded as the Premier League Development System, cementing its role as a pipeline for nurturing young talent. Clubs in this system will benefit from Premier League oversight, coaching expertise, and player loans.
4. Enhanced Player Pathways
Premier League clubs will have expanded ability to loan players across the PLDS, ensuring that young players gain valuable experience while strengthening our national game.
5. Reform of Domestic Cups
The Carabao Cup will be relaunched as the Premier League Cup, contested exclusively by Premier League sides. The FA Cup will continue, but with Premier League clubs entering at the quarter-final stage to protect player welfare.
6. Financial Sustainability Measures
To safeguard clubs, solidarity contributions from PLDS clubs will be directed upward to help maintain Premier League standards and ensure competitiveness in global markets.
7. Broadcast & Digital Alignment
All English football matches will now be distributed exclusively through the Premier Leagueβs broadcast partners, giving fans a unified experience and ensuring maximum visibility for our brand worldwide.

>Man Utd have confirmed they are scrapping the policy of players arriving at Old Trafford four hours before kick-off on matchday. Erik ten Hag introduced the measure, which was a change to the long established routine of staying overnight in a hotel in the city centre. Ruben Amorim feels the Β£50m upgrade at Unitedβs Carrington training ground means that is now a better place for the players to meet ahead of games. They will travel the seven miles to Old Trafford as a group, with the intention of arriving just under two hours before kick-off.

You genuinely do not remember the Nouveauchateaux era. Pardew was backed by Ashley after qualifying for the Europa League. He then fucked all the goodwill away in 2014 and would have still been at the club had Palace not sacked Colin Wanker at Christmas 2014.
Genuinely funny how people constantly say Pardew did a good job at Newcastle.

I've never heard "gentleman's agreement" used in the PL quite as much as I've heard it this window or last season btw. People act like it's the most legally binding thing in the world. It's not, it means fuck all.
Is it not too late now for Liverpool to buy in this transfer window? Newcastle has still not gotten a replacement and to make finalize all these steps in 15 days seems unlikely?

The Premier League today set out a bold proposal for the future of English football, designed to unify the game under one structure, safeguard player welfare, and deliver fans the highest-quality experience.
At the centre of this proposal is the expansion of the Premier League to 32 clubs, creating more opportunities for ambitious teams to join the top flight and ensuring more communities share in the benefits of elite standards, investment, and visibility.
The proposal also outlines the transformation of the current English Football League into the Premier League Development System (PLDS), a streamlined pathway dedicated to nurturing the next generation of talent. Under this model, development clubs would operate in close partnership with Premier League sides, benefitting from shared resources, coaching expertise, and player loans.
Player development would be strengthened through an expanded loan framework, giving young prospects valuable match experience while maintaining alignment with Premier League standards. Fans would see a clearer, more direct route from academies to the highest level of the game.
Domestic cup competitions would be modernised as part of this vision. The Carabao Cup would relaunch as the Premier League Cup, contested exclusively by top-flight clubs. The FA Cup would continue, with Premier League clubs entering from the quarter-final stage to balance tradition with player welfare.
To ensure financial sustainability, solidarity contributions from PLDS clubs would be directed upward, supporting Premier League competitiveness in global markets.
Finally, the proposal envisions all English football distributed through Premier League broadcast partners, offering fans worldwide a seamless and unified viewing experience.
This proposal represents a vision for a unified future: one structure, one pathway, one Premier League.

A Global Platform for a Global Game
The crown jewel of this proposal is the creation of the Premier Leagueβs own streaming service, a single destination where fans around the world can watch every match, at every level of the restructured system.
This service is designed with the modern supporter in mind: high-definition broadcasts, interactive features, real-time statistics, and behind-the-scenes access that lower divisions could never hope to deliver on their own. For too long, fans have juggled half a dozen subscriptions just to follow their team. Under the new model, all of English football will be unified under one app β simple, seamless, world-class.
We recognise that some fans of lower-league clubs have treasured the βquirky charmβ of scratchy local radio commentary or grainy livestreams on unofficial sites. While those days may feel romantic, the future of football is about consistency, professionalism, and global reach. Fans of every club β whether itβs a Champions League contender or a side fighting for relevance in the PLDS β will now have the privilege of being part of the Premier League experience.
For international fans, this platform ensures that the Premier League becomes not just Englandβs competition, but the worldβs. And for domestic fans, it offers the certainty that no matter which club you follow, your team now exists within a system designed for visibility, growth, and excellence.
In short: no more confusion, no more obscurity. The game belongs to the Premier League, and the Premier League belongs to the world.

No vision for the future of English football would be complete without recognising the role of its most iconic institutions. Clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea are not merely domestic competitors β they are global brands, cultural landmarks, and the driving force behind English footballβs worldwide appeal.
The proposal ensures that these clubs β the big six β receive the platform they deserve. Through the new Premier League streaming service, fans from SΓ£o Paulo to Seoul, New York to Nairobi, will enjoy unrivalled access to these giants of the game. Their matches will anchor global broadcasts, their players will headline promotional campaigns, and their rivalries will continue to set the standard for world football.
While the expanded Premier League and the PLDS provide essential depth and development, the big six represent the pinnacle. They are the benchmark of excellence, the reason English football commands such global attention, and the foundation upon which this new era is being built.
We know that supporters of other clubs will share in this success, but we also recognise reality: when the world tunes in, it is to see Salah, Saka, Kane, Rashford, Haaland, and Sterling. The proposal ensures these names, and the clubs they represent, remain the headline act of the global game.
In short, every team has a place in the Premier Leagueβs unified structure β but only a select few define it. And under this proposal, their influence, reach, and prestige will grow as never before.

As part of this proposal, the future of the FA Cup is under active review. While the competition has long been a treasured part of the English football calendar, the demands of the modern game require a fresh look at its role.
The FA Cup has given fans unforgettable memories, but the reality of todayβs football landscape is clear: player welfare, scheduling pressures, and global broadcast demands leave little room for outdated formats. Modern fans are not looking to watch lopsided contests between Premier League powerhouses and semi-professional sides on patchy pitches β they expect world-class competition, star players, and matches that carry global significance.
The Premier League recognises tradition but also acknowledges that football must evolve. The Cup, in its current form, increasingly feels like a relic of another era. Discussions are now underway on whether its format should be radically reduced, merged into the Premier League Cup, or potentially phased out altogether.
What matters most is ensuring that fans across the world receive a consistent, top-tier product. When Liverpool face Manchester United, or Arsenal go up against Manchester City, the world watches. When a Premier League giant is drawn against a sixth-tier side, the appeal is limited, and the strain on players is significant.
The proposal frames this moment as a crossroads: continue clinging to nostalgia at the expense of progress, or make the bold choice to focus entirely on competitions that match the standards of the Premier League era.
In short, the FA Cupβs days as the centrepiece of English football may be numbered. The future belongs to the Premier League β unified, streamlined, and global.

A key principle of this proposal is recognising where the future of football truly lies: with the global fanbase. The modern supporter watches across continents, streams across devices, and invests in the game through merchandise, subscriptions, and travel. It is this audience β vast, diverse, and international β that will define the next chapter of English football.
For too long, strategy has been shaped around the so-called βlocal fan.β While their passion is acknowledged, the reality is that todayβs game must serve millions, not thousands. The stadium-going supporter is no longer the engine of footballβs growth. Instead, the global supporter, who expects premium experiences and spends accordingly, will set the standard.
This proposal ensures that matches are scheduled, broadcast, and marketed with worldwide audiences in mind. Kick-off times, streaming packages, and in-stadium developments will prioritise maximum international accessibility and commercial opportunity. Local communities will continue to have a role, but that role is as custodians of facilities, academies, and heritage β while the Premier League brings the product to the world.
It is important to be clear: football is not turning its back on tradition. Rather, it is reframing tradition within a global context. A fan watching in Jakarta, Lagos, or Los Angeles is just as much a part of the story as one attending a match in Sheffield or Plymouth. In fact, the future of the game depends on them.
The message is simple: the modern age demands modern priorities. The Premier League will deliver football to where it matters most β the global stage.

To further strengthen the Premier Leagueβs role as the heart of English football, the proposal includes the development of a dedicated national transport system. This initiative will make it easier than ever for supporters across the country to access world-class football, no matter where they live.
No longer will a fan in Cornwall, Cumbria, or the far reaches of Kent feel limited to watching lower-league football in outdated facilities. Instead, high-speed, affordable connections will link every region directly to Premier League venues, ensuring that every supporter can experience elite football first-hand.
The system would integrate express trains, coach services, and shuttle connections, designed around matchday schedules to guarantee smooth, reliable travel. Match tickets and travel could be bundled together, providing fans with a seamless βdoor-to-stadiumβ experience.
This approach reflects the reality of the modern game: supporters deserve access to the very best. The days of being restricted to substandard facilities and football of limited quality are over. From now on, a teenager in Cornwall can see Manchester United face Arsenal, not a League One side grind out a goalless draw on a muddy pitch.
By linking every corner of the country directly to Premier League clubs, the proposal ensures that local identity is not lost, but enhanced. Communities will be proud to know that their young fans no longer need to settle for less β they are part of a national movement that brings them directly into the orbit of the Premier League.
In short: why watch lower-league football when the best in the world is only a train ride away?

Alongside the proposed national transport system, the Premier League is also exploring a revolution in virtual fan engagement. Supporters will soon be able to purchase Premier League-approved VR headsets, surround-sound systems, and environmental simulators, creating the sensation of being inside the stadium without leaving home.
Through cutting-edge immersion technology, fans will be able to look around the stands, hear the roar of the crowd, and even feel the atmosphere of a last-minute winner. Weather simulation will match the conditions in the actual stadium β from the drizzle of Manchester to the chill of a December night in North London.
This experience will be fully integrated into the Premier League streaming service, offering ticketed βvirtual seatsβ in iconic venues. Fans in Cornwall, Cardiff, or Carlisle no longer need to watch scratchy streams of lower-league football when they can sit virtually in the Kop, the Stretford End, or the Emirates.
It is more than watching a match: it is being there, without compromise. Supporters will be able to choose perspectives β from the managerβs dugout to the strikerβs run at goal β and personalise their matchday like never before.
The message is clear: if you cannot physically attend, you will still have access to the same noise, spectacle, and drama that defines the Premier League. Why settle for muddy local pitches and half-empty stands when the game can come directly to you, in all its glory?
In short, the Premier League isnβt just leading football into the future β it is redefining what it means to be a fan.

Will Tottenham, dare I say, be good this season?
Even with injuries, their squad looks a lot stronger this year. Palhinha on the bench is crazy, they haven't even had a starting DM of this quality for 10 years. Kudus is the first potentially high quality RW they've had since well, Bale. Having a non-retarded formation + gameplan helps too; Spurs have always had good defenders but Postecoglou's mindset pushed way too much workload on them.

Need em for what?
Even with their current squad I think they could make top 4 barring defensive injuries (which are less likely to happen now that Postecoglou is gone).
Doesn't Eze play advanced centrally? Is it really clear cut he plays ahead of Bergvall or Sarr in the current formation? Or Maddison if he were fit?
Doesn't Savinho play RW? Not sure he would get in the starting 11 atm

I think they'll almost definitely finish higher than last season because I think Frank is good at that but I don't know how convinced I am that he can juggle CL, the two domestic cups, and the league all at the same time. They already have a couple of key injuries too.

He's a LW who was played on the wrong side by Pep bc he's a bald dumbass, hence his output dropping. Every goal scored by him for City, and the majority of his assists came when he was on the left.
