we will be betting on the books dog for this game, and you are betting against one of the best pitchers in baseball, could be risky. the main problem here is the pirates offense is very weak, and they dont score many runs when paul skenes is on the mound. with the over under line at 7.0, vegas seems to think this might be a bit of a pitchers duel. gausman is not on skenes level by any means, but he has only allowed 2 runs or fewer 4/5 past starts, all 5 starts at least 6 innings, 3 of them he went a full 7.0. guy is in a bit of a groove right now. those werent bad teams he was playing either, those were quality starts against the cubs, tigers, and yankees. this will very likely be a close game, the pirates are in the top 3 of most one run games played this season, and they have a losing record at 22-27 in them. the blue jays are 21-14 in 1 run games and tied with the dodgers for most come from behind victories this season at 39, even if skenes shuts them down, the pitates bullpen will have their work cut out for them. blue jays are one of only 5 teams in the majors with a winning record as the books dog this season on the road. blue jays 47-17 ats as the books dog, not many teams easily put away the blue jays.

Think you have to look further than just statistic based predictions. Porto has 5 new starters that arrived this summer. They got rid of the dead wood, especially that loser fabio vieira. Svrcina just lost as a @1.4 favourite in the USO qualification. Such an obvious loss. He even won the first set and then ran out of gas.
