Penske and Ganassi handed that win to Rasmussen. If they didn't elect to not pit, he wouldn't have even made it on the podium. I can't even think of a worse strategy call in any series. I guess the record will show a W, but I sincerely doubt he will be able to back it up.

Daly talks shit without anything to back it up. 12 years in the series and no wins. podiums, laps led don't mean shit. I'm not expecting everyone to win a championship or Indy 500, but win a race, that is the standard for an IndyCar driver's opinions to mean anything at all.

not really, in most races the leader has ran away by half way, exceptions being thailand, argentina and qatar where markek was trying to rise his tire preassure and still ran away at the end, and silverstone where the yamaha shat the bed and, you guest it, bez ran away, the difference these last 3 races is that bez has stepped up but even then they've played out exactly the same, domination isn't the problem, 2019 was fun as hell despite markek finishing 1st or 2nd, the problem is that every race this year has been pretty much the same

That scene was perfect. In fact, it was the best scene in the entire movie. It was exactly what a Hollywood version of the Daytona 24 hours SHOULD be. It got all the cars and lighting and sound and scenery absolutely perfect (for a movie) with just enough exaggeration in the driving to be over the top but believable (and frankly not even as insane as it can be sometimes, pic related). Throw in the fireworks exploding too low, the helicopter flying to low, sprinkle on a little Zep and,
>chef's kiss.
Dayton is the perfect race for that scene since the whole thing is a bit "extra" anyway. I also thought that Diff did a good job being his usual goofy goober self and I always listen to the RLM broadcast.

This is about negotiations before the 1949 season of NASCAR; the second season. So it's always been a cluster fuck.
I haven't really been keeping up with the 23XI lawsuit thing and I'm not a lawyer since my parents were married when I was born, but the only chance I see 23XI coming out on top is arguing that NASCAR is a monopoly because of the requirement to show up to every race. As I understand it, NASCAR claims they can run in the Cars Racing Tour as an alternative. Now, I haven't checked, but I would presume that since Cup runs almost every week, there would be scheduling conflicts and that they absolutely would not grant a playoff waiver if a team elected to run in another series. Especially since the made and issue of Lason doing the doube, even if it promoted their even more than all of their efforts combined.
I really think the collapse of NASCAR would be the best thing for stock car racing. It's not like it's going away.

My friend says they have wine vending machines that despense wine directly and that they use leather wine bladders to collect it. I think he is a bit confused, but I would like to believe it. IndyCar clearly understands they have to up their game across the board. it's a matter of survival. for example, I don't expect Roger Penske himself to understand the ins and outs of video games, but he clearly understands that having one for the series is a necessary component to the betterment of IndyCar, and that the Motorsport Games fiasco was an embarassment.

I think they are going to try to copy them. It's a little early for a war, but I think if they schedule things properly they can raise a decent audience. The NASCAR cooperation is something I have been calling for for a long time and I am extremely happy tonsee. I would also think that the relative explosion in the popularity of IMSA has been encouraging. The downside is that I just paid $85 for an IndyCar ticket. I'm not really excited about that tripping.

I think that having a game is very important, but I think IndyCar being in Forza may even be more important, if not as prestigious. The stand alone game is really more for people who are already switched on to IndyCar. With Forza, they are reaching a huge audience of people who are generally interested in cars but might not really have any connection to IndyCar yet. In any case, it's fantastic that we have both.

So the broader implication to worry about here is assuming the FIM is involved in this (and they usually are), it pretty strongly implies that what they plan to do to cuck WSBK when the new MotoGP rules come in is kill off what we know as superbikes where heavy mods for everyone allow a wider range of base models to be competitive naturally and use NGSS style performance balancing on Superstock based bikes. (They've been dreaming of using superstock bikes for years but never been able to do it because there's only ever a couple bikes that are new and track focused enough stock to have a chance) Which will make the Shitalians happy because they can just use their 1100 cheater bikes. Seriously if Aprilia doesn't show they are lying scumfucks.

Funnily, maybe... but I started listening to the albums long before I was listening to the radio show. First started listening in 2005 when I was in college and using their fast internet to download whatever random shit I could find, got hooked on trance, then started buying the actual CDs in like 2010. I knew there was a weekly show... but I never really looked into how to tune in. I just listened to the albums on a loop (mainly while exercising or driving, still do). Then during COVID, the show somehow popped up in my YT recommendations, and been watching every week since.
I knew it was aired on SiriusXM (which is why it would make sense for them to run an ASOT/Armin car, ESPECIALLY if IndyCar ever gets a Euro race), but I never paid for satellite radio... since I had all these ASOT albums to loop through...

I really don't see the problem with this. Hell, you could throw in modifieds and legends, too.
Anyways, the lack of other series running at ovals is why the tickets are so expensive. If IndyCar, IMSA, SRO, AMA etc aren't at a road course they are hosting club races, "track experiences", driving schools and drift events. The best most ovals do is flea markets and car shows. I don't know why Bristol doesn't have a series of local championships like every short track and dirt track in the country.
