Also off topic, but to you, I have just found out that a russian team Nika Syktyvkar have stolen a nice center from the hungarian team DVTK, 198cm tall Ana Tadic, our team wanted to keep her, but your team have outbid ours. I got to see her in person, but I wanted to see her more, so I'm angry at that team for taking her from us.

I just watched the KB Stars (South Korea) 73 - 78 DVTK (Hungary) game. It was fun, they played on a tournament hosted in South Korea. I liked the korean team a lot, especially cute tiny Yen, but really liked the others in that team too, a fully korean team. On contrast our team, the DVTK have nice players too, but I was kind of embarassed that we brought two groids with us, the Aho sisters, they almost cost us the game, and had to field all white players to fix the sitatuion, when the Aho-s playing together have lost a 15 point lead. Also the older Aho plays with her thumb in a cast, so not even healthy, yet the coach keep forcing minutes on her, while superior hungarian players sit on the bench. Anyways, it was a relaxed game, and I had fun watching it, nice venue, and nice commentators, I will watch all games that the DVTK will play in the tournament. With this win the Fever's playoff spot is certain, will still have one easy game, two close ones, and two hard ones, and winning one would put their regular season winrate to neutral, and two would put it into positive. The next game against the Valkyries will be one of the close ones, and winnable. Valkyries have an extra game before their game with the Fever, while the Fever can rest, also teams are a bit different since their last encounter. Maybe Bibby will return to play against her former team. Also funny enough, the Valkyries have a player that played in the DVTK last off-season, Kaila Charles (she'll be playing in Italy after this WNBA season, good, because the DVTK got a taller spanish olympian for her spot), she is ok, but should be easy for Lexie to handle, they are listed as matching height, but Lexie is faster, more athletic, and should be able to cover her easily.

Fever loss... the double midget tactic fell short again... with facing taller guards. Sims 1/10 FG (after getting that rest of season contract, no longer need to put in an effort) Mitchell 4/14 FG (2/10 3FG)... Meanwhile Lexie was only allowed 5 shots, despite being the most accurate with 3s in the game again. Coach could have tried adjusting, by fielding Mitchell as pg, Powers as sg, or playing Lexie as sg, and fielding Timpson as sf. Of course that was not the only issue, the game stoppage fuckery that had drawn the first half out, most likely effected the older players of the Fever more, and also the rest of team, as being the team on the road, and also may have interrupted their rythm, and left more time for the opponent to adjust, so it was not a level playing field (even less so than just playing as the away team). Not sure what was going on with Boston, on defense I could guess speed issue, but on offense she had the height advantage. The Fever could really use an other proper height backup center, for when Boston is tired, or have other issues. Could have even brute forced with two talls at once, with Boston playing as pf, if an other taller center would be avaible on the roster, and Lexie playing as sg, with Howard as sf, in that lineup (tall ball), but the management is hellbent on playing midget ball, and shrinking the average roster height continously.

Playoff pairing is still undecided, many possible matchups still. Postive winrate for the regular season is still on the table as well, with neutral being still likely. Two hard games left, one close one, and one easy. The next one will be a hard game. Based on this game, and their previous Mercury game, I'd say have Mitchell take much less shots, and assist more. Start Mitchell as pg, Lexie as sg, have Powers be the backup for both, and don't play the shorter hardship players at all. Howard, or Timpson could play sf. Fever loss... but they did well overall, compared to the Mercury game prior. Even just by looking at the box score the game was decided by the refs (and whoever paid them), 23 free throws for the Mercury, compared to only 8 for the Fever, on a 6 point game, and from what I read there were multiple bullshit calls against the Fever, and Mercury have got away with fouling on their end. Sims still had too many minutes, too many shots, and too few assists, but by the +/- was able to defend. Boston nice assist count for a center, but shots were off. Turner have notable offensive rebound count, 5 from others misses, because she made 2/3 her shots. Mitchell scored well, especially compared to the prior two Mercury games. I like that Lexie got more shot attempts, and scored double digits.

This loss changes little, positive winrate for the regular season is still on the table, and at least having neutral winrate is likely. One easy, one close, and one hard game left, in that order. Should mainly rely on whom worked in all four prior games against Chicago: Lexie, Mitchell, Boston, Timpson, because while it's expected to be an easy game, Sky may make extra effort just to ruin the Fever's winrate, or to lock them into the 8th playoff spot. Boston could use a confidence booster game, and Timpson haven't played any games lately, despite being more servicable than the midgets. I'd give a taller player the starting spot, and time over Sims, preferably with Mitchell playing as pg, Lexie playing as sg, and the taller players getting more minutes. Dantas did ok +/- rating wise in the 3 Chicago games that she played in, but her current role is the backup center (by her height she should play as pf). Also still not too late for the Fever to sign a proper height backup center, if they make room by waiving a guard, than could afford to use Dantas more as pf. If the Fever win 2/3, and the Storm lose their two remaining games, than the Fever get ahead by tiebraker, and could avoid the Lynx.

One to another fully korean team, in which the Aho-s were the lowest scorers on the team, and were net negative, so our team lost by 7pts, despite an all white lineup rallying the last quarter, scoring 21-10, but even that was not enough with trailing by 18pts prior, due to the continous fielding of one Aho at a time, during the first 3 quarters.

Everyone but the Aho-s are nice from the DVTK players that were brought to this tournament, as in very pleasant team to watch, with some of my favorite hungarian players in the team, whom are also adult national team players. But the fucking Aho-s, they are too short, too slow, not skilled enough, especially not with shooting, are too clumsy, the older one is both injury prone, and is a risk to cause injuries to opponents as the way she plays. They ruin the team chemistry, and they ruin the height balance with the team having to accomodate their minutes in the lower height roles, pushing proper guard hungarian players to higher roles. If the team would have kept both Tadic, and Eliza Fárbás, they could have fielded the new spanish player as sf, next to two additional taller players at once, and field two hungarian guards in their proper height roles as pg, and sg. There is absolutely zero reason for either of the Aho-s to be in any hungarian team, aside of malicious reasons such as a humiliation ritual against Hungary in general, and multiculturalism propaganda pushed by the team's owners.

Season wise there was barely a chance with everyone healthy before the start of the pre-season, due to incompetent roster, and staff building, signing a too short player, overstacking the middle, and not signing any proper height centers. From their hardship players two had season ending injuries, three are too old to develop anymore (one waived since), and just decline with age, other two too late to develop into anything this season.

The draft is evil. One of the top practices the league should cease to do. First off it's limiting the freedom of association of the new players. I wanted to give the WNBA a chance, and I wanted to find out if the CC hype was legit...it wasn't. While CC performed well in the first few games I watched, her performance turned to shit just like the rest of the players. Injury could certainly have been a part of it, but it seemed like her basketball I.Q. dropped as well. Regardless, this league is horrible, and the game play is amateur, irritating, and just not fun to watch. As to the game, not much to write, it was an expected win, no surprises, and they did near equal opportunity shooting (can only afford that on easy games), with six players shooting 8-9, but they let Mitchell have 13 shots... From the starters Sims was having the lowest +/-, even with playing small ball, Powers would have more merit to start over Sims (Sims should not be in any team).

With the Fever reaching neutral winrate in the regular season, the year on paper is not worse than last year. One close game, and one hard game left, to reach positive winrate, the coming Mystics game being the close one. Ironically last year the Fever thrown away their positive winrate with the bench fielding fuckery against the Mystics, yet to find out if history repeats itself. Lexie had the best +/- rating from the starters against the Mystics in most games this season (3/4 including pre-season), and Mitchell had poor shooting games against them (3/4 incl ps). Winning one game would secure the Fever's 7th spot in the playoff.

Sims is in large part to be blamed for the Sparks not reaching the playoff this season, because while with them, played below team average +/- on all (8) but one losses, while there, and they only had 4 wins, three of those played better than team average +/-. Her Fever rate 4/6 worse on losses, half worse, half better than team average +/- on the wins (2/4). The Fever won their last game of the season. Likely leap in their standing to 6th, instead of 7th, unless the Lynx feel charitable toward the Valkyries too. Not sure if their playoff matchup change is to their advantage though, but even if they survive the first round, would face the other team in the second, so having to face both was not avoidable either way (or at least not up to the Fever).

Their last Atlanta game was back in July 12th, fielding a very different roster. Two wins, and two losses, and one Fever loss was only by 1 point. Lexie earned her starting spot over Bonner in the first two games, with Lexie being the top +/- rating player, and Bonner the worst. The 3rd game was a big loss after an early CC injury, the team weren't adjusted yet. During the 4th game they tried to phase Lexie out. CC, and Cunningham had all positive +/- rating games when they played against Atlanta, so they will be missed in this matchup. Could try Powers as pg, Lexie as sg, Howard as sf, Dantas as pf (but don't attempt 3s), Boston as c. Fielding them as long as possible, only considering Timpson, and Turner as backups. Could also shift Lexie to pg if needed. Would only field the midgets if all other options with shifting taller players have been exhausted (by fouling out, or injury, but otherwise field the taller players full game).

As to this Minnesota game, Lexie didn't get enough minutes, that's why she missed her shots. The more Lexie plays, the better she is, and keeping her on the bench just cools her down. Lexie's +/- was still twice over the midget Sims, who got six more shots, and six more minutes, and Lexie had one more assist again too, the most in the team. Lexie wasn't allowed enough shots, to make it to the "double figures" picture (again), on the last game of the season, she is getting excluded three times in a row (and dozens of times more during this season), and the team only praise the groids. Lexie should just retire, the Fever don't deserve her at all...

Was about to ask, how did the Storm got ahead of the Valkyries in the playoff spots. Since they are 2-2 wins tied against each other, and the Valkyries have 23 more points in all four games combined. But looked it up while waiting for the captcha... The point difference between the tied teams is just the 3rd tiebreaker, second is their winrate against positive winrate teams.

The Lynx picked the Valkyries to be their first round playoff opponent, first they thrown a game against the Storm, just to leave them a chance, then played hard against the Valkyries to keep them down, then thrown one game against the Fever to let them pass the Valkyries, and then played hard against the Valkyries again to seal the deal. The Storm also had to win their last game against the Valkyries, which they barely managed, they just won by 1pts (with getting 20 free throws, when Valkyries only got 14). They probably would not have made the second round of playoff either way, considering they were 1/4 against the Aces, and 1/3 against the Dream, but better chance than against the Lynx 0/4. Maybe it was a scripted top down order by the league, so they can claim new records for the new expansion teams in the coming seasons, that "first expansion team to reach 7th spot", and "first expansion team to reach 6th spot", and so on, as they do with almost every other record. Both the league, and the teams only allow records to be barely broken, teams rather have their good performers sit, so they can try to generate media buzz later again with just barely breaking the records again, that they artificially keep low, and they do this repeatedly.

I don't hate dogs, I just think they have no place in modern society, aside of service dogs (guard dogs, search and rescue dogs, drug and bomb sniffer dogs, and shepherd dogs), because they cause too much nuisance to others. I hate most dogs owners though.

As to cats, I don't really mind them, they don't bark, they are usually not allowed outside, so don't leave shit and piss behind, even keeping them is less messy, they are easily litter box trained. Read about extreme cases of catladies though, where they filled a flat with so many cats, that their smell seeped out of the flat, I'd take those cats away without hesitation, and not even deciding on animal welfare basis, but I'd only tolerate any kind of pets as long as they don't become a public nuisance.

I don't know about those odds, because despite the injuries, and despite the management being full retards, with signing midgets, and despite the coach being full retard by fielding them, the Fever somehow lucked/struggled their way into the most favorable playoff tree situation (or the league have scripted so). They are able to avoid the Lynx, the Liberty, the Mercury, and the Valkyries until the finals (likeliness in order). They will face the Dream first, against whom they are 3/5 (including pre-season), and one of the losses was by just one point. If they make it to the second round they will likely face the Aces, whom they beat 2/3, with the loss being close too, or by off chance the Storm whom they beat 3/3. The Storm were 2/4 in the regular season against the Aces, with the two losses being close, but one of the wins was not, so that first round outcome is not decided yet either.

As to the vibes, I feel the complete opposite on that too. My perception of it completely revolves around Lexie, and this was the most depressing fucking season, with the only glimpses of hope, have set both her, and me up to be hurt again, and again. Fever loss, it was a winnable game, had two quarters (1st, 3rd) when Fever scored more, but their tactics seem like as if they have thrown the game, so their first playoff game victory after a few years can be in Gainbridge... Double midget start, but to make things worse, at times they shrink the lineup even more and moved Lexie to pf, with 180cm Powers facing 188cm matchups. Also Timpson, and Hall only got a minute and a half each, by the time the game was decided at the end of the 4th quarter. At the very least Timpson should have been fielded way more, as the team was severely lacking height, instead of a midget, and should have shifted Lexie, and Powers to smaller matchups. Lexie shooting stats are bad, but it's because she was facing a taller opponents, or might even faced double teams, or doing last resort shooting. Boston single digit scoring, and almost fouled out too, told you so. Howard too low minutes. Sims the worst +/- rating in the game. Turner too low minutes, considering the minutes wasted on midgets.

I don't understand why don't Timpson get to play more, when the Fever is constantly lacking height. Peddy should not get any minutes, nor Sims. A matching height player just one on one standing in front of their matchup is better, than double team attempts by undersized players.

As to the next game, I think the Fever will win that one at least, because I have a slight feeling that this game was let go, due to wanting that first win in years to be in Gainbridge. Lexie being slim is why she is fast, and why she can she stay active for full games if allowed by the coach, and by the refs, and is the reason why she avoids injuries. Slim is better. I'm not making copes for Lexie (about her gameplay), wrote that her shooting stats were bad, I just tried to think what may have been the issue, since I don't watch the games out of principle. If she misses some open shots, that sucks, the management, and the coach should not have messed with her confidence, by signing others for her spots, and limiting her shots, instead of keeping her in practice, and keeping her hot streaks running. Also her matchups were taller (she played as pf too), Lexie is listed as 185cm, Rhyne Howard is listed as 188cm on wikipedia, and Atlanta's pf-s are 188cm, and 191cm (keep in mind that taller height usually pairs with longer arms, so not just a few cm difference).

There's no other player in the world that I'd trust more to make a 3 than Lexie. If someone would hold a gun to my head, and tell me to name someone to make a 3 for me, or I get killed if she miss, I'd pick Lexie, and I'd pick her for longer streaks too, e.g. make at least 5/10 (could play a Squid Game style game, with a russian roulette roll with each miss would be a adding a bullet in the cylinder, with the sixth miss being guaranteed death, I'd pick Lexie), could make it 75/100, or anything, because there is no difficulty that I would rather pick anybody else for.

As to Mitchell scoring not being enough, I don't mean her amount of points, I mean that scoring need to be paired up with defense, and she is too short to do that, same height as Sims and Peddy. I don't doubt she can score, she is fast, she have a nice sidestep 3, it's just by the end of game her +/- is usually negative, neutral, or low single digit positive, because whatever she makes, she usually also cost in defense (when not directly, then by needing a teammate to help her out, and than their matchup score more).
