Santander played RF and wasn't competing directly with Schneider; Lukes and Schneider replaced each other depending on platoon advantage and Seattle only has righty starters. I was first puzzled by the IKF decision too, but moving Barger to RF and putting Ernie in hot corner makes more sense if you're going to stack up on defence and Barger was making too many mistakes in 3B. I guess Schneider will start if the Jays make the WS and face Snell.

Looking at how locked in the Blue Jays' hitters are right now, the Doyers pitching staff will really need to stay locked in and the offense will have to be better.

Barger isn't a bad 3B, it's just that Ernie is a much superior fielder (literal gold glove nominee at 3B) and IKF is the best fielder available for 2B. The infield also completed 3 crucial double plays yesterday, which makes me think they're going to stick with what they have and keep Schneider and Loperfido as options off the bench if there's another injury or a pinch hitting opportunity. Ty France might also show up again if Springer is ruled out with injury and Bo can't come back.
