The amount of reps Mendoza has in college is irrelevant when projecting to #1 overall status. The recency bias will also be negative if he loses in either the playoff or against Ohio State in the championship. If he wins, I could only see it mattering if a team owner gets involved with the draft.
Kellen Moore is the only coach I could see passing on Sellers at #1, but only if he can get Mendoza or Nussmeier later. He probably still wouldn't pass him up.
Remember, NFL coaches nowadays can implement whatever system worked for the QB in college, plus their own state-of-the-art plays. Whoever the offenses minds are at the top of the draft, they will swing for the home run with Sellers.
