I stopped painting two years ago when I had my first kid. I keep meaning to get back into but I've been putting it off to just focus on my family. I could probably make time to do so and my wife would be supportive of it but I'm just so damn tired between work and parenting that I just don't have the bandwidth for it anymore.
I still love to myself and say I'm going to finish all my ongoing projects one day.

While working remotely one day I made a series of AI generated pictures depicting Yvraine being violated and corrupted by Slaanesh.
I have also attempted to use AI to generate pictures of characters in my armies, with varying degrees of success. It seems to have issues making old men.

So Grey Knights, they are 8 brotherhoods with the Purifier and Paladin orders staying on Titan to guard shit. But the two kits for the Grey knights are named after and are these two orders even they its the other 8 that do the fighting? And the Paladins and Purifiers don't leave Titan, like the old custodes lore of never leaving the Palace. Why did GW make this decision/ how does this work? Am I being dumb and missing something?

It's not easy in many cases, some units don't translate well and the lackluster system for playing models from other armies complicates things further.

You're essentially expected to houserule them, but people won't accept your house rules and since HH and 40k use different unit profiles it's not even easy to port them over as they are there.

In the lore Scions are a specific spec ops guard organization like Kasarkin, but Stormtroopers is a general term for all specialized elite spec ops type forces. Generally most Tacticus units are more support oriented. The melee units are killy but can't charge properly
So you're left with Hellblasters, Infernus or Sternguard. Sternguard and Hellblasters are really good but they need a character and the Drop Pod only has 10 so you can't get a shooty-killy unit either. The best you can get is 4 Devs with Multimeltas, but Meltas suck ass this edition, and Lascannons have range.

If you're just staging, scouts do that better.

How do you guys get around painting models you’re just sort of neutral towards? I like specialty Marines with unique armor like Terminators and Bladeguard, while I find it hard to get motivated for just regular dudes. What I mean, is that when I noticed myself getting quicker at painting Hellblasters I would think “Can’t wait to get this over with,” while with painting Terminators quicker it was “Can’t wait to paint more Terminators,” Only asking cause I want some more regular Marines for gameplay purposes, as the solution is pretty clear otherwise.
