No.
"....may be worn by a wizard without penalty" means that a model wearing the flayed hauberk may cast and dispel without penalty. However since the Necromancer does not have access to a mundane suit of armour it may not equip a magical suit of armour as stated in the core rules:

The armour of Tarnus and Warpstone Armour are both examples of magical suits of armour that can be equipped by a model that cannot equip the mundane equivalent. This is because in both cases they explicitly state that.

Chaos hate honestly makes zero sense to me because chaos is probably the single largest unique part of Warhammer’s setting. Slaves to Darkness/The Lost and the Damned are the definitive Warhammer books. Like if you really cannot stand chaos go play something else, it has been a core component of this setting for nearly 40 years. Chaos is THE most distinctive part of Warhammer.

Yeah it’s pretty rough when you look at the Realms of Chaos books or even the Mordheim/Inquisitor rulebooks and realise how much of modern GW stuff is just fans of these retreading ground rather than artists who have their own unique experience and visions bringing that into making product informed by it. Like it’s lovely we have the technology and capability to now just make an illustration out of RoC or an Inquisitor character an actual physical model, but it’s depressing that the evocative content that produced that model is just being slowly mined out and not being replaced with any kind of new substrate. Yeah there was this screenshot doing the rounds of some chaos hater minimising Realms of Chaos and Slaves to Darkness amongst other things, then all the other haters were replying to it and patting themselves on the back; books which were coveted in my youth in the early 2000s and one of the things which PDFs were handed around heavily once we got access to a tech-savvy grog with a heap of files. The popularity hasn't waned since.

I guess I would call out Ushoran as having some appeal even though it’s AoS too (but a reworked WHFB concept) though this thread will probably be against that. But the fluff that like, you have this semi-tragic characterisation of the Strigoi/FEC where they delude themselves into thinking they are noble, and that delusion stems from Ushoran’s infective psychosis, and then the hint that Ushoran maybe knows, maybe is perfectly sane and the nightmare is just something amusing to him is pretty good. That felt kind of novel, not entirely original, but like someone was actually thinking and trying to write something interesting and not just fan-fictioning what had come before.

It's infuriating seeing white people play this "we got to tread carefully!" game, I get why they do it, but it's still annoying. Chinese history is arguably one of the most cyclically grim in the world, we were in constant civil wars and our Imperial court is the most laughably corrupt hierarchy you can imagine. I'm glad they know not to add zombies and stuff (despite the fact that they do have undead in the game so the point is moot) but I could totally use more infighting, corruption, conscript waves, and cowardice.

Also, with GW's prices Warhammer is NEVER going to make it in the mainland. From my visits there there does exist a Warhammer community, but they're literally more likely to buy bases and put their own toys on those than look at a Citadel figure, they're much much too expensive to ever catch on.

I think you should give the the skin a thin layer of a bright skin tone. I'd also add some shiny metal to the bow ends, grips and the half face mask (they are supposed to be leather I think). I know that the 'dirty' look fits a scout unit, but generally I think that, when painting with single layers of contrast-like paints, fleshing out a single detail or two improves the look of the unit by a huge margin.

There isn't a ton between the two lists honestly, I would rather run the unit of 6 chosen than the unit of 8 warriors. They will shred at this points level. Forsaken are just really nice value especially at this points level and I would be worried if you throw the aspiring champion in the warriors unit the opponent will just refuse to engage with it all game. Having him on a horse as a potential solo piece would work better IMO. With the bulk of your list being slow infantry, there are going to be skew lists at 500pts which will just never have to engage with you and kind of pick up a free win too.

But you do you, both lists look OK, just play it out and see how it goes.

you draw the line of sight and range individually from each model of your unit towards one model of the target unit
only your frontal rank shoots unless you have rules saying otherwise, for example a unit on a hill gets to shoot with the second rank as if it could draw the line of sight through the first rank, and weapons that shoots with volleys like bows have a rule that tells you how many models of the unit can shoot

It was a slaughter in favor of the Skaven.

Game was basically won by on turn 3 after I Steed of Shadowed the Storvermin brick aggressively. He, foolishly, charged his Bird Lord into the flank, lost to static combat res, broke because double outnumber, fled through his wizard, who also broke.
On my turn I charged the wizard, who fled again and off the table then redirected into the lord who died.

My right flank collapsed but it was just a bunch of scouts who spent the rest of the game lobbing arrows at my rat bricks while the weapon teams hid behind the woods.
