Clanrats, great
Rat Ogres, can be used but are terrible in TOW
Jezzails, great
Engineer, I have one but I got it off ebay for $8 and you probably only need 1
Grey Seer, I have no idea if that model would work on a 25mm and would look awkward as fuck in a unit
Mounted guy, no use in TOW
Gun chariot, could be used as a Doomwheel. But the Doomwheel is just a vastly superior model
>>95907793if it were TOW there wouldn't be Cathay, but it;s hardly the first fundamental premise GW lied about.
>>95907839TOW

I don't care if Cathay lore is shit, a new faction is always welcome and it brings change to the TT
>>95907649>get squatted completely from aosI recall some Sigmarine models were squatted a little while ago, has there been a great squatting going on since the release of TOW? Does GW just want post-ET stuff in AoS and pre-ET stuff in TOW?
>>95907712They're both more important, more requested and with much more of their respective ranges updated for aos, leaving the older kits up for grab by TOW.
it's really a question of whether GW as a whole wants so many of these parallel ranges existing between TOW and AoS, and whether TOW might want the core factions they've selected to focus on to sell worse because more options, and very attractive ones historically, become available again.
I don't expect legacy factions to appear before 2 more years, but skaven and vampires are definitely up there as the primary inclusions.
We'll see how quickly gw finishes updating or removing from AoS those older fantasy kits of those factions, because they still have some, even not counting end times models
You are angry because Cathay works. It moves like a machine. It punishes your sloppy play. You look for excuses, 'too strong,โ โunfairโ but really you just not used to discipline. Your armies rot and fall apart, and you clap. Cathay stands tall, and you cry. This is not imbalance. This is you, meeting something you canโt reduce to your usual self-pity.
>>95907903>undead: >corpse cart (7ed)vampires in aos got updated recently and the corpse cart is still in their range, if it gets removed or updated it will be by 2027 at the earliest, vampires in tow can possibly make do without it, as they've done a long while before 7th edition
>crypt ghouls (7ed)locked as basic troops of an aos army, we'll see if the update of that army, in the roadmap for this year, touches them, but I find it unlikely they will, TOW could potentially use the older metal models instead of the plastic kit, especially if they're turned into skirmishers of some kind instead of an alternative horde unit to zombies and skeletons
>hexwraiths kit (8ed)locked as the only old fantasy unit in the nighthaunt range and visibly out of style with the rest of the new range, the ghosts are on the roadmap, relatively soon, and vampires already updated the other half of the kit (black knights) so it's highly likely this unit will be removed from aos or updated, freeing the kit for tow
>terrorgheist kit (8ed)important centerpiece for ghouls, but aos vampires have already given up on the other half of this kit (vampire lord on zombie dragon) so it's possible aos will update this kit for ghouls and leave the big kit available for TOW, it's a headscratcher because we have no real rumors of a significant update for ghouls and their tools coming
>banshee (8ed)>cairn wraith (8ed)>necromancer (8ed)>wight king on foot (8ed)all single heroes, not important, tow can use the old metals
>crypt horrors/vargheists kit (8ed)the crypt horrors are important for the ghouls army in aos, while the vargheists are still present in the aos vampires army, I find an update to both unlikely, it's easier for TOW vampires to simply not have these units
>mortis engine/coven throne kit (8ed)ugly ass kits, TOW would do better by not getting them
>>95907928What's remarkable is that vampires, ghouls and ghosts are all getting touched in AoS in a relatively short timeframe, to me it speaks of a concerted effort to update or consolidate the undead models, and freeing some old kits for tow might be one reason for that
>skaven:>night runners (6ed)probably getting updated via sidegames within one year or so
>plague monks (6ed)probably getting updated via sidegames within one year or so
>doomwheel (7ed)unlikely to see an update anytime soon, TOW can use the older metal version
>screaming bell/plague furnace kit (7ed)unlikely to see an update anytime soon, TOW can use the older metal version for the bell and simply lose the furnace
>hellpit abomination (8ed)unlikely to see an update anytime soon, TOW can use the resin brood horror instead
>warp cannon/plague catapult (8ed)unlikely to see an update anytime soon, TOW can use the older metal version for the cannon and simply lose the catapult
>>95907762Not this Cathay
>>95907939of course not, these are new models. Are you stupid?
>>95907926I'm angry because Cathay is a waste of design space of what could have been a really great addition to the setting, but we knew that since TWWH3 so it's not exactly fresh.
>>95907949Enjoy your slop
>>95907985You've been eating GWslop for years, anon
>>95907903Given that undead and skaven are the ones to most recently been focused on by AoS and given the time period of TOW it's highly unlikely for either the be main armies anytime soon. The most likely next legacy army is chaos dwarves assuming they aren't scooped up by AoS instead with ogres being just behind.
>>95907759>a lot of rumors of Chaos Dwarves getting a AoS/ToW simultaneous releaseabsolute wishlist
the only rumor is that they're getting released for aos, starting with an army boxset of 15 models that include a not! dreadnought and an artillery piece, that's the extent of the rumors
everything else, from simultaneous release, to the idea that the incoming models were sculpted as a tow release but got snatched by the aos team, is groundless speculation
the only hope for chaos dwarfs in TOW is for the old forge world range to get resold as units in an arcane journal meant for chaos, with the vaguest hope of plastic updates for those models for a parallel range being so far in the future to be an irrelevant dream
>>95908021>assuming they aren't scooped up by AoSThere are already multiple reliable rumors of them getting released for AoS before the end of this year.
>>95907759>>95908026Yea this, pretty reliable info that chorfs are going to AoS but also that they aren't going to be like classic chorfs whatever the fuck that means.
>>95907262>>95907926The fact that Cathay is serving so crassly as substitute for score settling on "CHADna" is what's pathetic.
>"Cathay stands tall"You're the one who's short.
>>95907928>could potentially use the older metal models instead of the plastic kit, especially if they're turned into skirmishers of some kind instead of an alternative horde unit to zombies and skeletonsOr they don't release those models AT ALL - like they did with many night goblin models (squigs to be precise), leaving you to guess which AoS models will fit, lol.
Does anyone know where a fella could get his hands on 5 plastic horses that are in scale with the metal marauder horsemen from 6th ed? Would I be able to just use horses from a historical manufacturer, provided they were still in 28mm scale?
>>95907582Considering that ogres got like 2 new miniature in their existence in AOS, both updates btw I would say like 65%.
>>95907939Yes, TOW != WHF, they've said it from the start
>Oh yeah, Bret knights were always women >Yeah, they had matchlock back then >It's just a myth that Steamtanks weren't common >War Altar was made earlier, actually >Yeah, Cathay was a super powered nation led by gods they just retreated from the setting later but were super relevant in the past! >>95907582Bulls, Ironguts and Leadbelchers all share a body sprue. If GW refreshes Ogres it'll clear at least these kits for TOW. Maneaters and Butchers will obviously be dropped/refreshed because the main studio hates resin production too.

Managed to play a 500 point Open Battle with my friend over TTS. A brutal and cataclysmic face off between Warriors of Chaos and Wood Elves.
The Wood Elves Glaid Captain opened the game trying to take a cheap shot at my general, but failed to wound. This resulted in the Warriors of Chaos going first in the roll-off, the Wood Elves losing their advantage.
Korgoth the Destroyer lead his Warriors, ordering the Knights to face behind their hounds and his own Warriors being concealed by another set of hounds.
It was...a glorious slaughter! The elves rain of arrows killed the dogs and by the time they were destroyed it was too late, the Chaos Khornates were upon them!
The Knights ran over a unit of Glaid guard and despite the help from 5 Wardancers, were torn asunder! The Marauders and Warriors charged into his second unit of Glaid Guard, Korgoth declaring a challenge against his general!
With terrifying precision, the Glaid Captain struck out with his Headsman's Axe, but only managed to sheer off 1 wound! Korgoth, wielding his gigantic double handed axe, struck down with all his might.
Even with the enchanted shield, the axe tore it to splinters and the Glaid Captain was ripped apart with but a single swing from Korgoth's bloody weapon.
The Glaid Captain's regiment also suffered mightily, the Khorne Warriors killing 5. They broke and were run down, and with only 2 wardancers remaining and having failed spectacularly to kill even one Knight, the battle was over!
Elven bodies littered the battlefield and the day was won by Korgoth, bearing the skull of the Glaid Captain for all to see, but most of all, Khorne himself!

Anyone got a pdf for TOW RPG?
>>95908602There absolutely is a clever idea for Araby. The lore has from time to time mentioned that the winds of magic blow weakly in Araby because it's equatorial (ignore the other equatorial parts of the world shut up) so rather than doing magic themselves, Arabyan wizards bind Genies (read: Daemons) and have them do magic for them.
In other words; Arabyan wizards are Stand Users.

To the guy last thread asking about ranking up Tzaangors on 25s, yes but with caveats.
With great-weapons, they should be fine enough. However the kit doesn't want you to arm them all with that since it's an Age of Modeling is Evil kit and thus a special weapon so it wants you to use swords and shields or two hand-weapons and those won't rank up particularly well.
If you're dead set on using these, just use the 30mm bases bestigors go in. Or multibase.

>>95908418Thing is I think my friend had the expectation to cause some damage but was pretty gutted when his archers just caught my dogs. Then, once his Wardancers flubbed up 7 attacks and did 0 damage to my Knights, it just fell apart for him there.
Honestly, I can see why he got miffed. That said I am playing tabletop tomorrow night so, will have some miniature pictures to share.

>>95908887>do you play often? No, not really. Just with the one friend who is getting into tabletop and I play with.

One for the tabletop and one for the jar.
>>95909112Warhammer is for everyone, chud
>>95908871Yeah I think wood elves have to be played very cagey, as much as 8th, where you effectively run around and only take fights you can wipe. It's why I'm hoping my wild rider recasts and stagcast come in soon because otherwise my biggest damage dealer is a dragon I've yet to pin and 10 wardancers and that's all that can reliably put out damage. Not that shooting doesn't give me consistent damage but not enough to handle fast moving armored stuff like knights or chariots or dragons
>>95909150No dont ask.
And certainly dont Google "rainbow dash jar"
>>95908636>you lose the connection to water.and? The benefits far, far outstrip the losses. And if you need a connection to water using a generic lung style dragon for the dragon form and literally anything else painted deep blue for the human form would work though given how on the nose Yin-Yin is I would probably go for a Sadako-esque design and lean into the Yin of the Yin/Yang symbolism of being dark, cloying and cold something Aqua does not embody in any capacity
>>95909112Black people exist in warhammer. Again that's supposed to be a collage of "interesting" events not a representative sample of the ethnic make up of the city

>>95909297The empire has a southland colony and many Arabyans shown are black.
>>95909232>black>peopleAnon...
>>95909367So to be clear, you do agree there are black people in the setting. Hell iirc there's (likely) still alive nubian expies south of tomb kings. So do we know there's no trade or contact, flow of information and people's during TOW time frame?
Don't get me wrong, if they are trying to claim Altdorf is as cosmopolitan as new York today then yeah fuck off. But if it's a picture of say marienburg which would be quite cosmopoltian (as a former sailor I can confirm most port cities are extremely more diverse than their countries) and it wouldn't be that shocking to see a southlander freed from araby or a galley slave who escaped etc.
>>95909449>having a colony means your nation becomes a melting pot>having merchants means your nation becomes dark skinned
Cathay being too strong is nothing new - it's not a first time GW presents a new army in this way. What more interesting - there are two ways out of this. Balancing FAQ or AJ with new models and rules for other factions to up their game. Knowing GW, I'd bet on second. So, if Cathay showed the powercreep we should expect from now on, are Legacy factions completely fucked now? Not that they was in a good spot to begin with - only VC and DE had some game. But now those too are gone as well, and weaker factions is FUBAR.
Or am I doom preaching and Legacy would be fine?
>>95909317>1 Anon the cover has a black imperial and there are more black imperials in the book.
>>95909486>What more interesting - there are two ways out of this. Balancing FAQ or AJ with new models and rules for other factions to up their game. There's a third way: community balancing Cathay by either writing their own FAQ, or imposing a comp than de facto nerf them (like Cathay being able to take 1900 points instead of 2000). That might even force GW to tone the powercreep, like they did with Votann.
>>95909552>community balancing Cathay by either writing their own FAQ, or imposing a comp than de facto nerf themThis is what I assume will happen and I look forward to the BOLS seethe article about it like they did with the Legacy pack
>>95909280> Black people exist in warhammer> No, they don't You can say they wouldn't be encountered in Talabecland, central province far from sea ports. But saying they don't exist in Warhammer is too dumb even for /tg/ level of intelligence.
>>95909563They wouldn't be encountered in the old world.
>>95909563Are Beastmen people, too? No one is denying Blacks exist in Warhams. We're denying their personhood.
>>95909561Honnestly, I see GW tanking the game with powercreep on the long run.
I'm not a big fan of tourny fag like the Square Based dudes (even if I play semi competitive tournaments), but's I really good thing they pulled their "Renegade Pack". On the long run, it's only the tournament scene that is organized enough to force GW to fuck off, and ensure than casual pickup game stay relatively "balanced".
>>95909486>too strongaccording to who? its day 1 kneejerk reactions. i would wait to see some actual data on winrates before everyone goes homeruling or nerfing the faction into oblivion to see if it is actually as overpowered as people say or if it is just meant to contend with the other heavyweights of the game currently running around like the flying circus or mortuary cult
if you, TOs or GW go nerfing cathay before they have any data it will likely be hyperbolic and punitive, rather than appropriate to the need, and tank the army without proper evaluation
>>95909586>if you, TOs or GW go nerfing cathay before they have any data it will likely be hyperbolic and punitive, rather than appropriate to the need, and tank the army without proper evaluationThey did it with Votann tho. Howewer, I'm not good enough as a competive player to have an enlighted opinion wether Cathay is THAT OP.
We should also take in consideration "casual pickup player". Let's take Empire for example: you can do some very strong list with them, but they will not be "like" casual player expect to play the Empire .
>>95909586> I wanna see win ratesfrom what garage games? Basing all rules from competitve events is a great way to turn your game into a exclusive club that dies out when casuals move on.
>>95909580That's why I quoted him - he said "warhammer", not "empire". If we use beastmen, he basically said they don't exist in warhammer, which is dumb. Better point would be - there are roughly equal chances to encounter either beastman (in disguise) or black man in Talabheim (Talabecland, Empire), and these chances are abysmally small, maybe even nonexistent
>>95909640There are no chances of encountering a black man in the empire.
>>95909385Aqua isn't a dragon man
>>95909682Aqua is a drag on man
>>95909610what else then? if you cant balance it based on competitive games, ie the only games for which any data is gathered, then what do you balance it on? vibes? gut instinct?
by taking
>>95909609example of the votann, thats how you get the 10th edition punitive votann rewrite that resulted in them having a 28% winrate for the first 3 months of the edition and needing to have their points dropped multiple consecutive times until their points ultimately ended up dropping 50% in a matter of months and players army sizes needed to very suddenly double, peoples 2000pt playable armies were suddenly 1000pts overnight because they rewrote the army based on vibes instead of hard data.
>>95909586> or if it is just meant to contend with the other heavyweightsAnd that is powercreep - if all new models and rules will be as strong, as the strongest old ones. Or stronger (to boost sells).
>>95909704>nerf op faction>the rest get on by fine until GW can make the new faction not retarded>people still buy itIts almost like the vast majority of people don't get locked into meta chasing like a slave and for them balance is not a math thing but a "can this army stand a chance" thing that involves more holistic things like "if an entire army is always a to s tier at everything it's going to fuck up all the b and lower tier faction"
This kills the waacfag
>>95907111 (OP)AVANTI PIGGALO!
The double turn honestly works better here than in aos. If i cared for the setting i'd figure out how to implement it in tow with some fluff.
>>95909798Fuck off perryfag
Why are people angry at Cathay for using High Magic?
>>95909798why do you need fluff? thats just the momentum of battle shifting, as often happens in real wars. if anything the fixed turn order is too static, random turn orders are more accurate to representing battlefield chaos and shifting tides, although an ever better representation still is probably alternating activations
>>95909854Humans arenโt supposed to be able to cast it.
>>95909854In the old lore at least, don't know how it is now, it was not just another Lore, but something like a higher form of magic, exclusive to the Elves (and not all of them) and Slann. It was stated that Human minds can't master or cast this. And while we have some very strong human mages in the lore, indeed none of them (AFAIK) knew High Magic. Shugenja, despite having some dragon blood in their ancestry, are still fundamentally human. Granting them access to High Magic contradicts established lore and can come across as having strong "Mary Sue" overtones.
>>95909920>he doesn't know about the single drop rulesorry buddy, they're not humans they're dragons
>>95909722If you want to bring state troops closer to jade warriors just give them the same shield or halberd choice for free and an upgrade to drilled option at 1ppm. Then theyโre 6 points to the JWโs 9 which feels pretty fair for the latterโs defensive special rule, +1WS and heavy armor. If you still think state troops are too bad give them horde and warband too.
Province rules would be fun for Empire State troops.
>>95909920Their culture is about attaining balance.
High Magic is reaching balance in the use of all Winds.
Thematically, it fits for the faction to use it.
>bored so watch some total war warhammer trailers
>notice that some have more views than stuff like AoS' 4th edition cinematic trailer
not neccessarily shitting on AoS, but this is strange right?
AoS is supposedly much bigger and popular than fantasy ever was, yet fantasy has the larger online presence? even if 99% is just total war
like you got a trailer for harry the hammer having the same views as AoS' 4th edition trailer, or chaos dwarfs or grand cathay reveals having much higher views
>>95909854Teclis taught the separate schools of magic specifically because humans couldnโt handle the 8 winds in unison and use high magic. Even Cathayโs unique magic is simply multiple winds in unison, not all of them.
>>95909932People dont even know warhammer has a tabletop game
>>95909932Video games have more reach, you idiot.
>>95909946better than not knowing of your existence at all I suppose
>>95909932>but this is strange right? No. Significantly more people play video games than tabletop.
>yet fantasy has the larger online presence?Because of the popular video games that use the setting.
>>95909932Yeah it is weird. What sales figures we have show AoS sells decently but it has very little online presence. Part of that may be due to the hostile atmosphere post-End Times and GWโs own embarrassing initial lore and rules for the setting. But I would caution you against thinking TWW trailer views = real wargame interest.
Do Cathayan heroes have super speed in TWW or something? Itโs so weird both the iron claws and celestial sword give Strike First as an actual rule.
>>95909973They have perfect vigor so yeah kinda
>>95909923It sets them apart, not make them a dragon
>>95909931It was stated that it's more complex than "I'll study each lore, and then balance it with the power of my culture". Thematically GW can fit anything anywhere and justify everything, it is their world. Still, an attempt like this will be met with disdain. You may disagree, but you asked why people angry - I answered.
>>95909961oh yeah, hence why I put the 99% thing
its just strange is all, videogames may have a much broader audience but remember that
>total war is PC only>its grand strategy and RTS which is niche, even if we all have autism>some of the shit (like harry the hammer) is a free DLC for a single character who isnt even a lordwhats stranger still is AoS' complete lack of videogames, I expect no publisher wants to touch it with a 10 foot barge pole over fantasy (as fantasy has spawned 2 successful videogame franchises) or theres some retarded GW thing where they're like "you can use the IP but fantasy must be swapped for AoS" and the publishers turn away because of it, and I believe GW hs mentioned in half yearly reports that they've been pitting some money into publishers or whatever to make videogames
we had realms of ruin but that was a flop
>>95909989Best AoS videogame pitches would IMO be either a soulslike where youโre a Stormcast in one of the freaky magical dungeon cities in the setting like Shadespire, Cursed City, the Silver Tower etc. or an even more top level than Total War grand strategy, more like Dominions where you play an actual god or godbeast and their followers and actually do the in-setting shit impossible to replicate on the table like curse a whole realm, rip open reality etc.
>>95909989you have youtubers that play tww and that encroaches on kids, so it can appeal to the lowest common denominator for the wrong reasons. Or Right. Who knows.
Also I wouldnt go expecting an actual game for any of the war-hammer settings anytime soon, the current video game industry is fucked and is doomed for a crash. It also doesnt help that GW can only rely on tried and tested game companies (granted pretty much all of them are either encumbered or you are CA where you are legitimately on your last breath), hence why 40k keeps getting nothing but mobile slop.
Also, ff GW wasnt so anal about the IP people would probably allow fan creations, I mean shit look at where touhou went because of that.
>>95909989>AoS' complete lack of videogamesThere was something like 4 or 5 AoS games in 10 years. And at best 20 Fantasy games in around 40 years (4th edition was published in 1992 IIRC). Sure, some Fantasy games were more or less successful, so they are known. But aside from TWW, I'm not sure that's due to setting.
You draw too many conclusions from nothing, and the main basis for them is simply your hatred of AoS.
>>95909961AoS does alright in sales, but they've been fairly stagnant for three or so years now. Moreover, it has next to no presence or cultural footprint outside the realm of TTGs. A big part of AoS having zero reach is the fact that it has produced/influenced no successful video games. For better or worse, no popular games means no YouTube/Streaming presence, which means it's totally off the radar for normalfags.
This is speculation on my part, but I honestly think AoS has a "passion" problem. To put it another way, no one gives a fuck about AoS fluff so it doesn't pull the same levels of investment/retention that 40k or Fantasy do. Sure, you'll find no shortage of people who think the AoS models look cool, but you'll be harder pressed to find the same level of attention given to, or conversation surrounding, the stories or characters in the setting.
>>95909989I mentioned it above, but I think the problem is that no one cares about AoS lore. No passion or investment means that the only thing produced is by-the-numbers slop (at best). Say what you will about the Dawn of War games or the Total War games, but you can at least tell that at least some people on team gave a genuine fuck about the IP.
>>95910070>This is speculation on my part, but I honestly think AoS has a "passion" problem. To put it another way, no one gives a fuck about AoS fluff so it doesn't pull the same levels of investment/retention that 40k or Fantasy doI think this is becoming a case with 40k too, at least with videogames
look at how vermintide 2 is treated over darktide
its the older game and the playerbase was worried it would be put on life support because darktide was the new thing
only for the reverse to happen and vermintide constantly getting new content like classes and maps while darktide gets its 50th weapon and crafting rework instead of just doing the VT2 system which is fine already
the passion just isnt there for darktide
vermintide 2 is the game fatshart wants to make, darktide is the game they've been paid to make
look at space marine 2, theres nothing really "inspired" about it and the first game has had more of an impact to 40k as a whole, despite 2 being way more popular and played by way more people
then again, both could just be a representation of how soulless 40k has become
>>95910070AoS does have some fun tidbits, my go-tos are the skaven that tunneled through the floor of the ocean in the realm of death and flooded Skavenblight literally and metaphorically with an eternal zombie problem(while a Gray Seer watched the whole thing and laughed his head off), or the fact that every now and again Malekith kicks down his mother's temple doors, calls her a whore, and immediately leaves.
But there is nothing compelling, and I personally just like snake ladies. I haven't played a single game of the new edition, since TOW has been consuming all my bandwidth for fantasy.
>>95910147Didn't darktide basically messed up it launch tho ?
>>95909961>What sales figures we have show AoS sells decently but it has very little online presence. No TWW or ratclick = no swarm of secondaries who have never touched a mini flooding every comment section with how it's teh best warggaem evarr!!!!1
Video game fags are a blight
>>95910069>4 or 5 AoS games in 10 years.What
I literally haven't heard of any
>>95910173Yeah, Darktide was shit at launch and has no defined characters that make people care about the story like the Ubersreik 5.
Darktideโs core problem is a narrative one.
>>95910173every fartshart game was messed up at launch
war of the roses, vermintide, vermintide 2 all had buggy launches
people tried telling the 40k fans that its gonna happen again, because its fartshart
but noooo, those warnings went ignored and it went into a massive "I told you so" when they realised they bought a buggy mess with a perfectly working cash shop
>>95910204Theyโve been trying to make the supporting cast carry the story, and the characters do drop some fluff in now and then. Ultimately though the planet is just so fucking boring.
>>95909476>having a colony means your nation becomes a melting potHave you seen the former European colonial powers? They're constantly bitching the people that they took over now live in their country.
Or the USA, who stole half of Mexico and to this day remains seething over all the Mexicans in it.
>>95910160>every now and again Malekith kicks down his mother's temple doors, calls her a whore, and immediately leavesGood to see he hasn't changed a bit.
>>95910179I remember the advertising for Storm Ground a few years ago. Generic squad tactics game that came out to middling reviews and quickly forgotten.
Just a couple years ago was Realms of Ruin, an RTS set in the Sigmarverse. Which looked like it had a decent sized budget but again, reviews were pretty middling.
Then a bunch of mobile games but I certainly wouldn't count those.
>>95910160Huh. I was wondering what was up with Malekith since the earliest fluff said he became a god but never added him to the tabletop.
Also, what the fuck has Tyrion been up to? Caught snippets that he's up to some shit when the Teclis model dropped but nothing since.
>>95910179Because no one gives a shit about them and they flopped.
Like the AoS card game, that no one gave a shit about, flopped, and my LGS tried to sell off for years at a heavy discount and ended up just taking them off the shelves.
>>9591014740k is at a Rubicon of sortsโif it hasn't already been crossed. 40k is a setting that GW desperately wants to turn into a narrative. Thanks to a mix of The Horus Heresy (which is often conflated with 40k-proper) and a massive influx of new people (both directly into the hobby and as secondaries via games or YouTube), this change has largely been successful.
The problem here is that that change from setting to narrative fundamentally destroys 40k by gradually breaking down its framework and making the focus too narrow. 40k is no longer a setting in which stories are told (your stories, most importantly), but a narrative to be consumed and forgotten about when the next new thing comes.
You can see the repercussions of this now, but it will be undeniably apparent in a decade or so.
>>95910160AoS just strikes me as a haphazard patchwork of ideas just thrown together with little consideration as to how they interact outside of "its marketable and cool". Like, there are interesting concepts in AoS, but none of them are developed in an interesting way.
CoS faction is probably the best example this. A coalition of city-states from different realms. comprised of elves, dwarfs, humans, and even some ogres from wildly different cultures. Neat idea, but how does this manifest in the fluff and on the table? 13th century (not)Germans with fucking corporate-aprroved palette-swap skin colours.
>>95910261I think Tyrion and Malekith are enemies, they're perpetually prepping for the other to invade, but Malekith is in the elven gods group chat and I think they even made a little sub-realm to have tea parties. Morathi isn't invited.
Malekith has an entire sub-race of shadow elves that GW just hasn't done anything with. It's weird. Morathi was banished to a tiny chunk of the realm of shadow, basically just elf florida.
>>95910300CoS is the most unfortunate casualty of how corporatized the game is.
It suffered before by being essentially four different armies stapled together, but they still had overlapping abilities and buffs like my favored bodyguard Phoenix Guard that pretty much made my foot commander unkillable.
Now it doubled down on "this is the human army" which goes against the fluff just because GW needed to tick a "Good human army" box.
>>95910300>The problem here is that that change from setting to narrative fundamentally destroys 40k by gradually breaking down its framework and making the focus too narrow. 40k is no longer a setting in which stories are told (your stories, most importantly), but a narrative to be consumed and forgotten about when the next new thing comes. They can continue shitting primarch mini for a while tho, that will keep the nu-40k player busy.
>>95907937GW has like 4-5 years of runway on model releases, so any trend you deduce as a "concerted effort" must have began that long ago.
GW might suck of Cathay, but I know my boys C7 got Empire's back
>>95910325CoS was originally a bone thrown to the grognards thst wanted to keep playing with their Fantasy models. The problem is, they created a faction of normal folk, and their narrative quickly jumped on those normal folk to try to sell the setting, as selling the Stormcast as characters just wasn't working. And once the normals of the setting became the most important part of it, GW knew they had to make bespoke models for it and push the old grogs out for good.
>>95910344Because Cathay is not a human realm, is a Dragon realm with their human pets
>>95908825>>95908831>>95908836>>95910344Cool! Now how do I go about making an autistic Cathayan Apothecary character for the new Warhammer The Old World Roleplaying Game?
>>95910160> I personally just like snake ladiesOnce they added back the Delves with TOW 2nd edition i'm not against them adding the Melusai to the faction.
>Orion is 455 points
>Ming Liao is 485
>people here will defend this
I understand the need to cuck the European factions to appease the mighty CCP but why the fuck did they have to do wood elves dirty like this? We were supposed to be the book before Cathay so it's not like they had a new edition in mind.
>>95910377this. Cathay is not a human faction. It is the faction of tyrannical dragons that treat humans like tools and dogs. attempting to breed them into living weapons to fight against their enemies and using the rest as chaff
it is only through Sigmar that humanity will rise to it's full potential.
>>95907667>>95907673>>95907783Reminder that the new Horus Hersey pre-order is up 1 week after the Cathay one. Players will most likely save money (and time) and buy that instead of Cathay.

>>95910705The fucked up part in all this is the Saturine box set is only suppose to MSRP at $230. 23 knuckleheads are paying a $400 for it. That's a 74% mark up just to be able to guarantee a pre-order.
>>95910638Not really due to various issues but keep on shilling Cathanon
>>95910679Closer to Company of Heroes/Dawn of War 2 but more...e-sporty somehow in a bad way. One of major issues is that once a unit was in melee combat with another, it could not pull away unless it did a full retreat all the way back to base. There were plenty of gamebreaking bugs too like larger units getting stuck when trying to migrate into the map or campaign mechanics where the enemy had insane respawn and build rates. You can see all this on the demo if it still exists.
Models in that game are very purdy but the thought of touching it again makes me barf.
>>95910724>$230 nah, no fucking way. I dont believe you for a fucking minute.

Also where is this 200 price tag coming from? Miao is smaller than your standard great unclean one, shit shes barely bigger than the old dragons, let alone the aos ones.
>>95909863Very stupid POV anon
Battles irl "shift tides" because they do not occur between evenly-pointed forces with mirror objectives. Every battle in AoS is a pitched battle between equals. The double turn is braindead, and you might be too,
>>95910760That's not how that works, anon. You can get a metal chaos champion for $17 and it'll outperform a $50 plastic character, depending on how you equip him.

>>95910781With Cathay being a brand new army, GW is probably now rectifying that. I think GW purposely made Cathay so overpowered in order to avoid another Dominion and Skaventide fiasco. FOMO didn't work, but Pay2Win probably will.

>>95909280In all seriousness, how are there black people in WFB?
The Old Ones created humanity. We know that they arrived approximately -10k IC thanks to the Lizardmen timeline. At best, humanity has only existed for 12,500 years by WFB. We also know that they were originally spawned in the Dark Lands and migrated from there.
That's not enough time to evolve into distinct races so it suggests that either the Old Ones spawned every human race at the same time in the Dark Lands for no reason, that they didn't actually create humans, or that WFB humans evolve super fast for no reason.
>>95911358I dont think there is actually any solid evidence of southlanders below araby existing at all.
>>95911358Old ones "lifted" many races and likely created multiple human races to anticipate various environments they wanted to make

funerary forces of a cult dedicated to the creation and protection of chaos monoliths detailing the deeds of chaos champions upon their deaths
bare black iron incised with fiery runes for armours, with extremely prominent eye of the gods iconography, and helmets replaced by cone heads or pyramid heads and/or without eyeholes, unit fillers are monoliths they're carrying of various chaos champions which can and should be visibly aligned to one god or another (giving you an easy way to point out the mark of chaos the unit has, and even change the mark of chaos of a unit from game to game by swapping monolith)
the army is allowed to have some heroes that don't actually belong to the funerary cult and are instead normal chaos champions aligned to a god, the funerary procession either got a premonition that the champion is going to die soon and offered to accompany him to detail his destiny, or the champions went to the cult thinking their deeds will be better recorded, their tales spread wider, and reaching the gods more easily
these can be champions that walk the path to glory alone instead of being part of a warband, or building a warband under them, or the warbands are on their last legs, which is why the funerary cult is stepping in for the heroes' imminent deaths, or the warbands are assumed to fight out of the bounds of the table and the cult is the champions' bodyguard force now

Am I right in how cannons w9rk?
>choose place on field in range
>roll artillery and scatter dice
>this is where it lands
However the rulebook says you measure the artillery dice FROM the cannon?
>>95911596>Am I right in how cannons w9rk?nope, first you choose a spot, then you roll an artillery dice (no scatter dice) then you move the cannonshot from the chosen spot, a number of inches told by the artillery dice away from the cannon
then you roll the artillery dice again and the line between the second spot and this third spot is the path of the cannonball where it hits shit
yes, it's ridiculously precise
Cathay are the Sigmarines of TOW
>>95911603I can't read today. So, you select a position for the cannon to fire.
Roll the artillery dice. The shot lands within those inches FROM THE CANNON to the desired area which you declared, like a target.
Then you roll again and it scatters/bounces?
>>95910344C7 weren't given access to Cathay
>>95911609It doesn't scatter, it only bounces, it hits everything in the span of the second artillery dice roll.
>>95911632Ah ok. That makes more sense. Not very accurate then and probably best to set up longer ranks so I'm not hit.
>>95911645It's very accurate. By aiming at 10inche from your target, you can hit the target ~70% of time IIRC.
Also, it can snipe lonely character if the first roll end up exactly on the character base.
>>95911607worse, at least sigmarines belong in AoS, Cathay has no business in the OLD WORLD and before other actual factions.
>>95911676>sigmarines belong in AoShardly, they're as hamfisted there as they would be in whfb
>>95911594It also helps that the anime also gives non-Chinese (And Non-mainland Chinese who were raised primarily in Western countries) people a primer on how court life was like during the Imperial Chinese dynasties. It's a fictional China that doesn't doesn't really specify which dynasty it takes place in. Many assumes it to be an amalgamation of the Tang and Ming dynasty, which is the perfect foil for the Warhammer The Old World setting and beyond.
>>95911645You've got 55,55% chances of hitting something with a base shorter than 2"
69,44% changes of hitting something with a base larger than 2" but shorter than 4"
83,33% for anything with a base between 4" and 10"
>>95911663Oh right of course, the HIT! roll. Vs big blocks of infantry, I can see it being very accurate. It's not quite as insane as I thought though, no blast template.
>>95911699>>95911704Yup, plus eventual engineer re-roll if facing empire.
Ironcally, I seldom target big block of infantry. It's way better to snipe dragon and big monster. Or, if I have no other target, snipe lonely mage (~30% chance to hit if they are if their unit bubble if you count the engineer reroll, per FAQ).
>>95911613Yet.

Where's my Orange Simca, GW? Where are the dragon monks? Obviously the previously mentioned Emperors are gone. The Monkey King's interaction with Skaven is gone. There's no elemental wood demons (I guess maybe the cathayan names for the winds of magic is something to do with that).
What's actually left? Shugengan, onyx crow men, terracotta warriors, the title 'Dragon Emperor' and 'Monkey King', some city names like Shang-Yang and Beichei and...? Everything else is new.
Battalion is a must, thinking of going for the captains rather than Meow's child since that way I can run them with the jade warriors in two units 8 wide.

Crimson armour (immune to multi wounds), Regeneration helm and Great weapon

The former assures I can only take 1 wound per wound but only two layers of saves. The latter means I got 3 layers of saves of 5+ but if one gets through, its going to hurt!
>>95913694Yes that is right. So every unit now has a 0-X* restriction but not OVERALL slots.

>Wow this does nothing
I feel like maybe the TOW guys are just reacting to the state of play like 6 fucking months ago. The nerf to the bedazzling helm already stopped the unkillable chaos nurgle dragonlord. The chaos dragonlord isn't even the biggest meta demon right now. The bret flying circus characters come in under 500pts. The high elf triple save dragonlord comes in under 500pts and you can still run 2 of them if you want. You can still run double dragon tomb kings. You can still run 40+ units of poison archers. Only 1 level 4 hurts goblin and tomb king magic spam maybe, but you can still do 1 level 4 and 2 level 3s as far as I can see.
This doesn't seem like it fixes shit, it just punishes one of the outstanding meta armies that has nothing else going for it. Chaos players aren't going to suddenly start running infantry once you disqualify their dragonlord, because infantry still sucks.
>>95914305>t chaos faggon lord runner
>>95914305This isn't the rules changes so you have to wait to actually see what happens to everything, if the price of stuff goes up for high elf stuff and tomb kings stuff then they wont be able to run dragons like that.
>>95914316God forbid I be slightly fucking annoyed about them targeting exclusively one of the few good things in my faction, not fixing the shit I actually want to play like knights and warriors, and leaving a practicaly identical fucking unit in another army untouched yeah. >Yin-Yin allied with Ulthuan>therefore her fleets moved without the knowledge of Ulthuan???? Wouldn't that be like, the opposite?
The dragons are really really fucking old though. Like not just the moon empress and dragon emperor, even the kids are 1000s and 1000s of years old, far far older than the Empire itself. Maybe that was already established in TWW but it's kind of interesting to me. Most elves probably aren't this old.
>>95914525Love that it has to insult the Empire and western humans WHILE glazing Cathay too. Guess the west is just mean of spirit.

The idea the current trade route between the OW and Cathay is partially a rebuilding of the old Nehekaran trade outposts IS quite cool. Fun theme with the TKs: no this merchant town is ours, actually, see these 3000-year old documents for proof.
>>95914448China was the first to invent gunpowder as far as I know so translating that into Warhammer is fine with me. If they invented steam engines that'd be a problem.
The Cathayan dragons having a particular soft spot for humans and just being kind of whatever about the elder races is also neat.

>>95914678>yeah my shugengan lord is the child of miao ying and sigmar himself

>>95914694>elf Chad/Stacey? Eh, seen 'em a thousand times>some random human rice farmer? MUHWhat silly creatures dragons are.
I understand the glazing of a new faction at the expense of the others to an extent but this is a bit much. It seems juvenile, like a kid writing their OC into some fanfiction and asserting their OC was the main character all along.
>>95914725Archaons hands typed this post
>>95914693They did invent gunpowder, but it was also much worse than later European black powder due to China's dogmatic mixing everything equally when making it, which led to much sulfur being used so it fouled and rusted barrels much faster than western powder
Cathay even references this with all the Cannons being these massive bronze constructions compared to what the Dwarfs or Empire use
>>95914277Well it does point toward 1500 points being the better game size now that it can't be dominated by those things
>>95914738Theirs guns (or doctrine) is different too, with blunderbusses and really long rifles instead of the jack of all trades handgun.
>>95914585"1999+1" army compositions did used to be a thing back in the day.
>>95914725Yeah that really is how it comes across. It would have been pretty easy to throw some ambiguity in there. But there's pretty much no dark or even grey element at all: Cathay is explicitly the most powerful, knowledgeable and ancient civilization in all of Warhammer Fantasy and the dragons are truly benevolent rulers whose citizens are overjoyed to serve them. And there's literally a paragraph spelling out they are NOT AUTHORITARIAN DESPOTS, NO WAY, IN FACT THEY ARE FREER THAN ALL OTHER COUNTRIES which feels a little uh, marked by the supposed Sensitivity Team.
Until ET gets retconned, Cathay was canonically destroyed by midgets and orcs.
>but muh dragons escaping into space
Not canon sorry
>>95910325I mean, it's not like that's unique to them. Stormcast are basically just Space Marines with all flavouring and interpersonal drama shit people care about stripped out. KO are a chaos dwarfs, but good, who play like Dark Eldar on the tabletop, and whose presence absolutely fucks the setting by introducing unironic power armor and (functionally) modern firearms.
>>95910328It's a hot take on my part, but I think GW will End Times 40k and replace it with an AoS-style sequel, and they'll use the returning Primarchs as the way to do it. I don't think it'll be as overt as Fantasy's nuking, but it'llbe used to wash away whatever framework is left of 40k in 5-10 years.
>>95912712>Do they? You said it yourself. They want endless primarch family drama wank. That's narrative bullshit.
I mentioned it above, but I think they'll End Times the setting via the Primarchs. They'll use this as an excuse to sanitize the IP, add obligatory corporate tokenism, and force the repurchase of armies with squatting and legends.
>>95914725It seems as if GW is trying to undo the "grimdarkification" that occurred during 6th. We'll have to see how that works out for them. I doubt my chaos warband has ever even heard of cathay, so I don't really care if they're very harmonious and better than the gweilo.
>>95914535I'm not Chaos guy. I'm OnG guy. We don't have 500+ units or characters, so I'm fine. Just instead of multiple level 4 wizards I'll take 4+3+3 (or just 4+3). We'll see what we'll see in balance changes and if NG archers will be viable after
>>95914789>It seems as if GW is trying to undo the "grimdarkification" that occurred during 6th.I would honestly be okay with that but I'd like to see it shown off more in existing factions first rather than letting them rot while showing off the new thing. The lack of lore for TOW so far lets everyone keep the mindset that the world is still in the same tone as WFB and I think that helps make Cathay so jarring of an addition
>>95914825Others have pointed out that they've done this for Empire and Bretonnia at least. Brets are much more heroic/not-grimdark in LOTL while Empire has be described by the WarCom team as being in a Golden Age.
>>95914833>Empire has be described by the WarCom team as being in a Golden AgeIn the gigantic, centuries-long civil war of the three emperors?

>>95914841>In the gigantic, centuries-long civil war of the three emperors?According to the Empire AJ, the Era of 3 Emperors is over. It is now an era called the Anarchy where nobody really does large scale war, just small border skirmishes. Nobody cares about claiming true rulership of the Empire, they'd just rather rule their smaller parts of it.
>>95914833I mean we are a year and a half in and we've only gotten a single book, and i think the first RPG book also just released? >>95914603You can't be this stupid, anon
>>95914833That's funny because I was actually going to bring up LOTL. The only thing that gave me the impression that it was less grimdark were the rules being bent to allow lady knights. Maybe I should reread it if others disagree but I really felt like it reinforced a lot of the 6e grimdarkness
>>95914847I'm still declaring for my Empress.
>>95914755I think their only hope of salvaging this is going with the unreliable narrator route and saying its all from Cathay's perspective, though they explictly mention the west sees Cathay as some paradise, but it still could work as false propaganda. ...which had been founded like ten years earlier in some elf ruins. Marienburg's basically a shitty dark age village and fort in Sigmar's time.
>>95914943I'd like to sidestep that discussion, just a little bit. I'm a little peeved by the manner of the presentation of Cathay. The fluff is written almost like a play-by-play summary of Cathay's history from before its founding and into modern times. But as a result relatively little is said of the country and the people in the present. So I think they messed up a bit by how they chose to do this presentation. I think it would have been more pragmatic to list the different provinces and institutions and characterize them, instead of telling Xen Yang's life story across ten thousand years. Because this is after all a wargame that assumes the players will want to build armies hailing from certain lands or circumstances, so an introduction to the lands themselves would be more practically useful. Most of this historical stuff could have been covered on 1-2 pages of perfunctory entries listing significant events.
How long till GW adds Cathay to the big map?
https://www.theoldworld.com/
though looking at if if they just move the eastern edge of the map far enough east that we see everything but the coast of Cathay i imagine a lot of Ind and Khuresh will also be shown.
>>95915105>Because this is after all a wargame that assumes the players will want to build armies hailing from certain lands or circumstancesI don't think this is the angle GW are going for at all, I think they want it to be more like AoS or 40k in which you have a centrepiece model with models supporting them, focus on a named character leading their troops into battle.
>>95914943Even I couldn't in jest this shits mad fucked

>>95915133If shilling sexy dragon women prevents the shitpost times, fuck it.
I like the idea of chaos tricking Miao Ying into killing her sister. That's exactly the kind of petty and malicious thing the chaos gods would do for a laugh. Also there's an implication that the moon empress wiped Miao's memories of it which is a cool bit of depth to her character, and raises questions about what might be going on with the speculation about one of the unnamed dragon children falling to chaos. The rest of the details of the cataclysm are nice too, I don't really feel they jack off Cathay more than an army book should here.
The lore details with Nehekara are fun. The idea that the DE has nightmares about Nagash is both hysterical and opens up interesting possible feelings/relationships about undead.
I don't like that they gloss over how massive a fuck up creating the great maw was. But again I guess an army book isn't gonna focus on that. I also dislike the interactions between Miao ying and Sigmar. It makes the world feel small when all the main characters have met.
Keeping the note about the scheming lords of Nan-gau is a nice nod that all might not be as grand in Cathay as this book wants you to believe.
The line about gunpowder is pure Cathan propaganda and I refuse to accept it.
Overall it's definitely sucking off Cathay but it gives future writers interesting places to take the lore.
>>95915139Honestly good, being a specialist game is the best thing for WHFB. Getting AoS or 40k scheduling would be so ass.

It's a perfect regime where anything interesting gets mindwiped and the entire premise has already failed to make anything of dragons ruling humans and how it should be mutual parasitism not some utopian situation. It's as bad as that WoW expac that completely trashed dragon lore to make them my little ponies.
>>95913500The thing that pisses me off the most about this is there's no option to run it on anything other than the stupid horse dragon thing, like why not let us run it on foot? Is it literally just they're worried that someone might kitbash their own instead of paying ยฃ100 for one of these models?
>>95915191Arcane journal leaks i think, also the TOW RPG book released i think
WHFB 4e is genuinely so good that I don't see the appeal in a ToW RPG at all. If not the rules, which are of missed quality, 4e supps treated the lore a hell of a lot better than GW did and expressed, I think, real love from the creators. It wasn't perfect but it was good. Why dilute with a competitor?
>>95914943Post it you faggots
I like the seething over Cathay not being unbearably shitty to live in, just regular shitty.
>the only thing the dragon emperor has ever been scared of is nagash
>>95915225It's not regular shitty at all. It's utopian.
>>95915226Skeletor scary, the DE banned skeletons in media as a result.
>>95915148Sorry, where is the part about the scheming lords of Nan-Gau?
>>95915231>totalitarian regime led by immortal inhuman monsters that don't care about human life whom you have to slavishly worship or your own countrymen murder yourSure.
>>95915195Yin-yin fucked off to be a pirate queen
Yuan Bo is gooning in his room over his totally not tzeentchian Bird GF
Zhao Ming is snorting warp stone in the west while commiserating with Greasus about their dads sucking
Li Dao on campaign in the south dealing with either Khuresh or the monkey king
Basically Miao Ying is the only competent kid that's actually present while the Emperor takes a nap.
>>95915225>>95915231It is a land of peace and prosperity. There is no shit.
>>95915233I do kinda like the
>humans are so vital and interesting, I want to see them thrive>not like that
>>95915244Bro your headcanon and fanfiction does not matter. This is the word of god:
>>95914570
>>95915245Literally none of this is fucking true anon. The book is fully scanned. Yin-Yin is not a pirate. Zhao Ming happily trades with the dwarves. There is not a single dragon sibling who is in a crisis like you are making out. Yuan Bo and Li Dao are barely even mentioned in the AJ.
>>95915238>only cathay has balloonswell ya the Dwarves have a legit fucking air force why would they use balloons. Honestly most elves are also a threat since Cathay has like a few dragons sure but they are way out numbered.
>>95915265Yeah, Yin-Yin is hanging out with her useless friend Kazuma.
>>95915231>immortal 100% autocratic god emperor just fucks off for centuries at a time to leave his empire in turmoil>utopian
>>95915265well sure but they asked where things could go not where they are now.
>>95915275Bro read the fucking AJ, it's in the thread. This is the bit about him currently being away.
Also, again, Xen Yang is explicitly a kind and benevolent ruler who is not a 100% autocratic god emperor.
>>95915195>Miao ying killed her sister on accident and has to live with that knowledge>or she doesn't, because anytime something bad happens in Cathay they mind wipe people into thinking it's all fine>Former rulers of nehekara, including Settra, had interactions with Cathay when they were alive.>very few details are given on the other dragon children or the monkey king, so no idea what fuckery is going on there. We know they don't really get along and in a few decades a civil war is gonna break out between them so you're>>95915238a sidebar on Miao's page
Given the Nagash thing, I'd be most interested in the Great Necromancer hijacking Shiyama's spirit that Xen Yang explicitly bound to the land of Cathay itself as a future development. This will never happen because Grand Cathay has literally intentionally censored skulls and skeletons due to Chinese Cultural Sensitivity, but would be a cool plot point, thematically fitting, and a legitimate threat to Cathay's stability.
>>95915295Sidebar seems very at odds with the general tone of the book desu.
>>95915105It's tough because the AJs seem to be capped to a fairly limited number of pages, for reasons unclear but probably related to cost or what GW feels it can milk, and they need to both give you something to experiment with and establish Cathay as having ALWAYS been a part of the setting. So we just get the latter part here.
Cynically, I don't think GW actually has an overall picture of Cathay beyond what's in TWW. And modern GW hates presenting anything they don't have a ready-made model for, so they wouldn't be sharing a bunch of extra details that might take people away from buying the available models right now anyway.
>>95915305When I first heard the spirit river lore with TWW, I assumed that's what happened during the End Times when Nagash ate the death gods, he probably took control of Shiyama or released all the spirits in the river.
While you guys are bitching that dommy dragon mommy is a good girl that likes people turns out GW added a break point to TOW like Warmaster.
>>95915295the nehekhara lore has existed since the nagash trilogy at least
>>95915375literally no one is going to play that matched rulebook
>>95914678mfw Bleached anon was actually right.
>>95915391ya haven't we always known that some of Nagash's followers fled east to cathay after he was killed.
>>95915391Yeah the matched play stuff is horrific. For all their talk about making infantry important nothing in it does, only two scenarios/objectives care about something even being core, and the secret objectives are crazily imbalanced.
>>95915285>>95915294LMAO Jesus Christ, it's as if this AJ was written directly in response to my post. Yeah fuck Cathay, especially when they decided to keep Bretonnia's nu-lore as being a mudcore inbred GoT-esque shithole
>>95915209C7 wanted more money, and WFRP(especially 4e) is pretty crunchy compared to recently made systems so they probably thought they lost sales with WFRP due to that crunch
I do like the magic system in TOW RPG though
>>95914978Golden Age Islamic culture is fucking kino.
>>95915148>I don't like that they gloss over how massive a fuck up creating the great maw wasLegacy army innit.
>>95915149Getting AoS or 40k's writers and minis would be so ass
>>95915265Where is the scan of it
>>95914584>to undo the harm done to his world by the coming of the Old Ones and the collapse of their polar gate>the harm done to his world by the coming of the Old OnesSo literally undoing moving the wolrd closer to the sun.
I wonder how manking will fair on a polar world.
He did it right ... It was him all along ?
>>95907387No, that sounds badass and it needs to happen more often.
t. Euro
I would play Araby too desu.
