Shadow is likely the stronger card overall, but Sonic is a much better value engine. Red is stuffed with group symmetrical damage dealing spells, so even assuming you never attack with Sonic, his 4 toughness survives most of those while giving you treasures. Pyrohemia alone lets you shit out at least 3 treasures a turn cycle, and if you use Unwinding Clock, which is already good in an artifact heavy deck, you can maintain this burn in every turn cycle. Hell go nuts and mix in Ghirapur Aether Grid and just have your Treasures ping Sonic.

Gaea's Blessing is good as a mill hate piece, it's just a bad card overall which ironically proves the point that Commander player will do anything but sleeve up counterplay if it means sacrificing gas.
Generally a mill deck will try to win before you have drawn 50 cards, which means that Gaea's Blessing (or a shuffle titan) is more likely to be milled than drawn. If you really wanted to, handfixing cards like Scroll Rack can also be used to at any time deliberately put Blessing back on top in response to mill if you happened to draw it.

Hope they hit an IP you like? FF was an awesome set full of stuff I want to build, whereas Dr. Who was basically just a matter of simple support cards if I used anything at all. That's because Dredge cares purely about text that does things out of the graveyard, so "dredge 6" means "draw 6", because when you play Dredge, the graveyard is your hand and your hand can go to hell.
