If your format has the concept of a "budget deck" your format is comically expensive and you are just gaslighting naive retards into joining so you can farm them with your strictly superior and more money intensive decks, a 100 "budget" deck is almost always slang for "Spend 100 bucks on a dogshit deck that cannot be upgraded into a real deck" or, in the best case scenario "Spend 100 bucks into a worse version of a good deck so you can get your skull caved in except when you get lucky".

Along with that most of the premodern decks are 250$+ put into worthless cards, and "Muh proxies" isn't a really good argument because most people don't like them, it looks bad, and also most stores will still demand shit like gold bordered cards (even more worthless) as "proxies" or you'll say "just use chinaman proxies" without noting all the disadvantages that has, like getting store banned.

I'd even note that a lot of the actually good decks have shit like x4 Cradle, wastelands and a shitton of your tournaments also demand print specific because once more, it isn't a sanctioned format with hard set rules and said printings are all on the inherent reserved list.

Oh and btw, the average pauper deck is now in the 50 to 80$ range buying at the comically overpriced big name shops like TCGPlayer and Starcity of david with any expensive card being a perenial multi format staple (lotus petal, hydro/pyro variants) most of the time and the only real barrier of entry is skill, because in mtgo you can very easily pay your renting and then buy your deck and keep printing $$.

Sorry, not sorry if you are going to shill your format, which other than not being very competitive and having one big issue for long term high intensity play (closed format, which is also the inverse for long term low intensity play) isn't super bad, at least be fucking honest Mr. "I am so super vvhite and aryan but I'll behave like my own racist caricature of a scheming brown jew".

On Arena, the Spider Man set won't be. Instead, they will release a "Universes Within" set. Which will have mechanical parity, but different treatment.
We don't know how it will look, but my guess it will be like Core Set. Where we will have IC representations instead.
Instead Venom, we will get Davriel. Instead Mary Jane, we will have Danitha Capashen. And so on.
For the sake of this exercise let's assume it will look exactly like this.
Now, what if a big chunk of people playing Paper, playing on MTGO, kinda liked those cards more than Spider Man variants. What if enough people signal to WOTC that hey, Spider Man is gay, I want more Magic.
What do you think they would do? Do you think they could release the "Universes Within" versions of the Spider Man cards in paper? Do you think they might adjust their long term slop plans for UB slop?

And I was thinking Saboteur might become one of the best targets for mockingbird. You're less likely to get blown out if they remove your creatures before they can be copied since it has ward - discard, more painful for them at least

Snake has always felt bad to me, often dies in combat to trade a card, but you'll be down card engines if you don't run it, and snake is also a great target for mockingbird. I'd honestly just cut removal down to ~8 pieces and count on drowner and mockingbird to be your tempo out

I play Balmor Aggro in Duel Commander and Izzet Skred/White Weenie in Pauper. Used to play Jund Glee Combo but that's done for, obviously. In Standard I have a black midrange list, though it's not rotation proofed so I'll likely not be playing as much Standard after that. It's been a long, long time since I bothered with boosters.

Being a Final Fantasy fan, I thought I really couldn't lose. I went to a prelease, and I got a bunch of decent cards. I only got one card that I actually wanted, but I was still feeling pretty good about booster packs. I really enjoyed the whole business of getting cards I'd never go out of my way to get, like the Fire Crystal, and even just little perks like the art cards is a fun touch.

I decided to just go ahead and buy another 6 boosters, just to try my luck some more.
Four of the boosters had rares I already had. Somehow, in my years since opening up boosters, I had forgotten that the more you open, the more your odds of seeing the same cards increases. And, I didn't get any of the cards I really was seeking.

I then just went ahead and bought the singles I wanted, and it turned out less than the cost of the 6 boosters.

White Weenie was one of the first decks I assembled and played in Premodern. I always enjoyed playing combo and control decks, but White Weenie really let me cut my teeth on a fair creature deck. It has a lot of angles of attack and is a great well rounded deck

Mother of Runes and Whipcorder control the creature game, while Rishadan Port and Armageddon control the rest. Enlightened Tutor gives some card selection for Seal to remove artifacts/enchantments, Cursed Scroll to remove little critters or get damage in, Glorious Anthem to speed up the beat down, and Worship out of the sideboard as an ace-in-the-hole against red decks

The beat down plan is straight forward and effective. Try to get 4 power of creatures onto the field early in the game, and use removal and disruption to get damage in. Savannah Lions and Silver Knight are common in White Weenie as great attackers, but I personally go for Battle Screech as my top end instead of Exalted Angel. I like how the flashback gives virtual card advantage and resists discard effects, and can rebuild your board after Wrath or Pyroclasm. Battle Screech plays really well with Glorious Anthem too.

True Believer and Abolish are sideboard MVPs. True Believer makes the deck playable against Oath of Druids and stops some combos fully dead, and is well worth 4 copies. Abolish as free instant speed removal acts like a white Force of Will and can blow out combo decks while you tap out to develop. Mystic Crusader and Nova Cleric are alright, sideboard choices for my local meta heavy with black, red, and enchantments.

Forbidding Watchtower is a card I'm testing right now as an expensive but sturdy blocker. It should block almost everything on the ground, including pesky Elephant tokens from Call of the Herd. It should probably be Mishra's Factories but I'm afraid of all those WW color requirements on my cards.

White Weenie has always been a tier 2 deck. That being said, it has a great match up against Dreadnought, so yes it definitely has game against a top deck. The match up against Enchantress can be sideboarded for, with enchantment wipes and Cursed Totem for the Opal Wave combo. Replenish can be won with Rishadan Port and Armageddon. Honestly the hardest match ups are Elves and Goblins, not the boogeymen of Dreadnought, Enchantress, and Replenish

Might be meta dependent, but Exalted Angel and Eternal Dragon are great flying threats at the top of a deck's curve, Decree of Justice is a great control win con, and there are lots of small utility creatures in white like Weathered Wayfarer and Mother of Runes. Really though the big reason I switched off was I kept running into Decree of Justice. I used to run Divine Sacrament in the side for a while to bring in games 2 and 3 against non-white decks, but I've pivoted to more specific hate pieces and want to gear more towards disruption on games 2 and 3.

Reanimator is a fringe deck due to Oath of Druids doing the same thing but better and with fewer 2 for 1 failures from graveyard removal. In the blind I'd have to rely on getting a Swords or a Whipcorder, but 8 outs is a decent number and I'm likely to keep hands that include those cards anyways. After the blind I'll have Crypt of Tormod coming in for another 2 outs to stop the Akroma landing. I won't pretend like a turn 1 Akroma isn't going to win games against WW but it isn't at the top of my list for serious decks or worries.
Oath of Druids is the far more likely culprit for cheating in fatties, whether Akroma or Terravore or Phantom Nishoba. True Believer out of the side is just for Oath, and I have 8 disenchants in the 75 that can also handle Oath.

That would have been better honestly. I'd love to be able to cast a warp spell twice in the same turn. The current template means you can only hardcast its full value if you want to get it on board as a blocker/attacker the next turn.

Like the Kavu artificer. If you just play it for 2R, its a 3/3 cantrip (card goes away if it dies). If you play it for 1R+2R, its a 3/3 that draws you two cards. Plenty of lategame board states you could pay mana for an extra card. But with warp current template, you can't do that. You can pay 1R to impulse draw for that one turn alone, then 2R on the NEXT turn to get your kavu
