CYOA with 3 waifus all evil and mentally ill
>Waifu quick to anger and impulsive has a deep burning hatred for the world and it's injustice wanting to tear it all into pieces...
Except for you the only good thing in all of existence.
>Waifu full of greed wants to enjoy all the pleasure the world can provide she only sees the material value in everything people are just objects to be used and discarded when no longer needed...
Except for you the only invaluable person to ever exist.
>Waifu that's completely insane and solipsistic for her truth is whatever is most convenient yet is ignorant to her own manipulative nature she only sees her own "truth"...
Except for you the only other real being beside of herself.
I think they should be enough to work as narrators.
Do you guys have any suggestions for them?
I might make one or two into lolis.
Or maybe a loli, a teen and a hag.

>>96101548I love all of them and take all 3 as my wives. The world can get fucked, both literally and figuratively.
>>96101548>enjoy all the pleasure the world can providWill she make the player a cuck? That's the only truly evil desu. Otherwise, they all sound wife material.
>>96101548>I think they should be enough to work as narrators.Tankista ruined all cyoas. Stop copying him.
>>96101548I literally have this same premise, but they are portrayed as the ultimate good (despite being insane/evil) and they are loli-coded. I hate you, bro.
>>96101600>I want to be original>So waifus... but they are le evil! Since waifus are always good, this should be unique! That is because neither of you possess a single ounce of originality. You try your hardest to make something original, and in doing so, you end up making the same as everyone else.
>>96101587I could try to exclude sex or are you guys ok with her wanting to fuck women with you?
Not men only women.
>>96101625NTA but I'm not trying to be original, being original is overrated.

>>96101678Why should I care about this random woman I don't know and have no memories of? Better to get a new one.
>>96101695lmao I think it's the opposite. I should be accepting that it is fine to not powergame everything and to do what I enjoy and think looks cool.
>>96101600I dunno I want to portray mine as actually evil and misguided you can go along with them or try to reform them.
>>96101697She's literally (You)r Boss / Assistant to tard wrangle (You) and make sure (You) don't accidentally kill everyone under the property (You) manage.
>>96101715Even more reason to not care. Better to romance literally anyone else.
>>96101533 (OP)Question about aptitude points: do we get four AP for light and chaos each or are they shared?

I can now move at supersonic speeds in bursts, and I suppose subsonic normally. Faster than the human eye can see anyways .Does this mean I'm able to move faster through levitation too?
Give it to me straight, what's sex with Mizuho like? Completely psychotic, a fever dream where being stabbed in the dick is a plausible end to the affair? Or just really sad?
What's the spookiest thing you've seen in a cyoa?

>>96101827I think celerity is mostly about reaction, at least if you're airborne. So, you could change directions faster, but your momentum would stay the same as you can't cheat the physics of the situation.

>>96101836>>96101830>Give it to me straight, what's sex with Mizuho like?Perfect timing, here's her page. The truth is, she's very, very good at it. The only crew or mission client who isn't a virgin is, shockingly, very good at sex. And can put up a terrific performance!
But you probably don't want the performance. You want her true self. Well, the truth is that Ai-chan would probably prevent you from having sex with her for awhile, recommending you don't until you were married to her. And it's probably a good idea, to give her time to get used to things!
Married sex with Mizuho would be the most intensely needy thing you've ever seen. She would be insatiable, as though afraid that if she ever actually stopped, it would never happen again. You'd probably need to dedicate, like, a month-long honeymoon vacation just to get a LOT of things out of her system. She'd never stab you or anything, but you'd basically never not be doing something with her. And there would be sad times, she'd cry a lot, but she cries a lot anyway. In years to come, when it's her turn, or if she's your only wife, whenever she isn't having one of her breakdowns she would be just absolutely *constant*. You will never quite know if it doesn't remain on some level a performance. But she's never had sex with someone she chose to, before. So expect her to say some very dark things and also tell you to imitate things that have been done to her.

>NinaHer whole event chain was pretty fun to write, and while I avoided requiring Alexis for most of it, ending it with her on your ship requires Alexis. The two of them are going to fight a lot, being VERY different women, but in a sisterly way. Just less stupid about it than the Lyndas.

Male
Outfit: Suit
Implement: Grimoire
Magic: Binding Specialised, Psychic Specialized, Novice Sacrifice Magic, Spirit Master, Celerity Novice
Quirks: Subsidized, Gifted, Shrouded Magic
Ultimate art: Continuous
Patrons: Gaia, Bone Mother, Remial
Occupation: Student
Contacts: Sylka, Iris, Camellia
Mission: Death Squad, Memetic Agent, Hunting Horrors
So, the idea is I'm a binding specialist in the field. Bind things, throw them in my subsidized dimensional home, and they either come out fixed or never seen again.
On the inside, I'm using binding and psychic and my special contracts from my suit to break them, turn them into my agents, and using my ultimate art to continuously drain their magic to feed into me. Ideally, they can also prepare spells to feed into my grimoire. Anything that's too strong gets killed in the name of bone mother and gets crafted into a tool. Sure it's hard to control a large number of creatures, but that's before binding gets supported by my psychic specialization powers to make them dedicated to me, on top of using contracts which can rope in some power from unsubdued parties.
And with my shrouded magic, ideally everything stays nice and hidden and nobody can spot my pawns. With Gifted, I hopefully can also learn other forms of magic from those that I capture. The goal is to create a large group of essentially magic batteries, as well as multi core processing to allow me to produce and store magic the likes of which have never been seen.

>>96102556Finished up my image build for this, pretty par for the course for me, making good out of evil. The addition of explicit angels in this version helps (my previously sketched-out build imitated them with hybrid instead), even if the increased cost for land transformation hurt me a bit.
I'm not really sure why brood costs 2 points, though; the benefit seems to be mostly one of theme, since it specifies that minions can breed within their own species anyway...are children of minions also minions?
But yes, not too many viable drawbacks when aiming for nobility.
>>96102585this build would make the goddesses really seethe
>>96102585>making good out of evilAmusingly to me, a couple days before the update dropped I was thinking about the CYOA again and how despite your obviously evil presentation the morality is somewhat ambiguous. The Being is not named as actually evil, the goddesses, shiny appearances aside, are not particularly described as morally good. The end goal being just the removal of the goddesses' influence on the world stands out as well as the complete freedom of how you achieve it.
My interpretation was that the goddesses fucked up big time with that long ago war and resulting cataclysmic event, leading to other gods wanting to punish them for it. But divine politics being what it is they could not intervene directly against the goddesses or in that world, so they empower and send (you) as an agent. The whole "evil overlord" shtick being not only just the result of it being the most simple and straightforward way of removing anything relating to the goddesses on the world, but also telling you that you really are free to do whatever is neccessary. Basically "this world is so fucked up from the goddesses it has to be hard reset", that even an "evil overlord" would be better. At least he would somewhat care about the realm he fought so hard to conquer, right?
The update having descriptions that explicitly lump the Being in with evil gods put a stop to that interpretation though.
>>96102616>Nice build! Thanks - I wanted to add in Joining and Recycling as well, to be able to offer the possibility of resurrection to those people who join the realm willingly...even if, mechanically, I don't think it actually makes a great deal of sense, having to pay 'full price' again. Also the combination of joining and elitism would be a bit awkward, since an 'ordinary guy' couldn't Join as a peon, they'd need to have a good chunk of essence invested to become someone more important.
But I couldn't find an adequate drawback to pay for it, anyway, so I suppose it's not important. Mundane was a little tempting, but I figured realistically it would be much too crippling unless you also had Industrialize (or even then). And Lustful Minions I figure you could actually manage pretty non-disruptively with an appropriate investment in concubines, but it was non-thematic for the build, and wouldn't have given enough on its own anyway to pull it off.
>>96102633I had actually wondered, previously, if the Being was meant to be the dead fourth deity in some fashion...although I vaguely recall finding some passage which seemed to rule that out.
Did it actually suggest that the goddesses were responsible for the catastrophic war, in this or the previous one? I confess to skimming a bit of the location page where it seemed like much of the info was, but I thought they were only defending the world.
>>96102626>MORE IMAGE BUILDSThey're fun, but they're also time-consuming...and vaguely wearying in a way that shopping-listing isn't.
But I do like having them on hand when a cyoa is reposted.
>>96102671>Did it actually suggest that the goddesses were responsible for the catastrophic war, in this or the previous one?In the far north, it says:
>this polar region was the ground zero of a dimensional invasion by dark forces centuries ago. They were pushed back by the four goddesses, but (you sense a smirk in the Being's usually neutral tone) the cost of victory was high.I'd guess this means that the Being probably sent a predecessor that may or may not have been as powerful as you that failed.
>>96102626Waste of time and effort. Might as well make a CYOA instead.
>>96102686>make a CYOA insteadWaste of time and effort.
>>96102585I like the picture for Man/Elf/Dwarf
>>96102684>I'd guess this means that the Being probably sent a predecessor that may or may not have been as powerful as you that failed.Yeah, I looked at that in this version, but it indeed just points more to the Being being evil, and the goddesses (basically) good. Wondered if it might have been different in the previous one and made the matter more ambiguous.
>>96102625>this build would make the goddesses really seetheI expect so, hard to directly fault me for much.
>>96102696>I like the picture for Man/Elf/DwarfThat's a slop one, got it out of midjourney purely for the purposes of graphic design (I didn't have a good place to put two additional boxes in order to separate the three).
>>96102671>if the Being was meant to be the dead fourth deity in some fashion...I thought of the same possibility, which would be another explanation for why the goal is to remove (or kill) the goddesses.
>>96102716The text for far north (the only real info we get about the event) is unchanged between versions, so
>>96102684 is the gist of it. No difference in amibuity.
Though the part
>As such the goddesses have to be indirect and careful when meddling with the mortal world, which has also made your unchallenged entrance to the world possible.begs the question of how that invasion was even possible. There were four unrestricted goddesses and neither could detect the gate/teleport/spaceship(?)/whatever was used to actually reach the world before there was a sudden army right there? An army that was strong enough to warrant all four goddesses going full avatar power to beat back? Conveniently killing the one who apparently held back the bickering between them?
I know those are shaky legs to stand on but the potential for conspiracy theories is there.

This amounts to a net total of 32 points for v1.0 and 52 for v1.1, for a difference of 20 points. That said, we have 10 more points in v1.1, so in effect, it's a difference of 10 points. I think this confirms my theory that MiCha's adjustment was intended to increase build diversity, which is a reasonable goal as most of v 1.0's builds were extremely similar but he made a mistake.
>>96104056It is always better to give too few points to start with so that when you inevitably need to rebalance anons view it as generous, instead of the opposite. The cost shifting is identical but the psychology isn't, which is what I suspect most of the complainers are angry about.
Personally, I like the changes. The costs are more granular, which is neat, and the point totals necessitate a more focused build, and probably my favorite part of CYOAs is breaking them down to find the specific format that works for what I'm aiming for. Most anons don't agree, though, and this nerfed their builds so I can see why they're upset. One way to mitigate the backlash might've been to increase the point total from 25 to 30, doubling it to match the switch, or tweaking unit costs to reduce them again though that would defeat the point. I think the points don't matter as much as the lore text for the wider world, which many anons have read as much more dire than it is. If you are reading this MiCha, I liked the update a lot, but I think readjusting or reclarifying it would probably get a lot more builds. That was the best part of this CYOA for me, seeing the various builds.

>>96104056>>96104061Here's the thing, micha had fixed a lot of what people didn't like about the cyoa, in the current version there's only a few minors things:
>nests should cost more points since everyone thinks they're broken and takes them>giants need a cost scale like dragons>chosen should be reduced in point cost by one or two, its one dude and way overcosted for what it doesThat's it aside from the most pressing issues honestly, the two things most harped about before was
>not enough unit points which leaves you with lackluster looking unit rosters>enemy text making them too strong compared to playersBoth of these things contributed to everyone taking elitist, micha had almost fixed the point issue until he self-admittedly nerfed it last second, nerfing everyone without fixing the issues. All micha has to do is 10 minutes of rebalancing, version 1.1, fix the stuff above, revert the elite minion point nerfs, keep the total at 25 and adjust the final paragraph text so the enemies aren't so strong. Boom, cyoa goes from whats looking to be flop of the year to cyoa of the year. It's literally that simple.
>Magelets are unnatural and can only exist by being born to a Witch.
>Witches are naturally supported by the State for military purposes (and possibly other programs) and receive pipeline care, training and treatment.
>Said pipeline care includes military and technical training by senior witches who will favor them the most.
>Sons can probably join the military or be left to their own devices
>Daughter witches will get the same treatment as their mothers.
>Mages literally learn to be good mages from Witches (Their mothers or their mother trainer)
>If Mages are caught, they are probably treated like regular POWs or executed unlike a Witch.
Mages literally ain't making it because the game is rigged against them.

>>96104209That seems about right for Buddhism. Heh, if you really wanted to hammer it in, you could call the drawbacks Attachments instead, and have them all give you additional things, feelings, or obligations. Positive and negative emotions are all considered bad because they bury you deeper into samsara. An attachment giving you joy in a specific, difficult to fulfill niche, like the vice of Spirit Conscript, is one example of how that might work.
>>96104718Buddhism is funny while reading about the poisons to investigate turns out that delusion/ignorance is bad in part because it makes you turn a blind eye to injustice and suffering it sounds contradictory
>>96104056There is legitimately no reason for elites to cost such exorbitant unlock prices when they're already extremely pricy to create DE wise. Artificially fucking everyone over like this just harms build diversity especially since he didnt fix the fucking power scaling problem. >>96101533 (OP)As a human I side with humans. Within the text of the CYOA, humans are abominations to both Light and Dark. On a long enough timescale, one side will eventually win, either wiping out humanity or changing it utterly. The goal is to delay that victory for as long as possible, and possibly create a god of the twilight.
Male - I am me, if a bit younger.
Regalia: Subdued - Force does nothing for me, I'll need to exist on the edges, to glean power from both sides. Better to be unnoticed when you are no one's ally.
Implement: Grimoire - With what I plan, just having another book in the stack of books won't change much. Besides, I've loved vancian magic for years, it's always had the best alpha.
Schools:
Specializations: Spirit and Pact.
Adept: Physicality and Celerity.
Novice: Force.
Spirit: I feel that being able to interact with the soul of things (via spirit) will ultimately give me the best long term benefit when making deals with spirits. Add on that I can act as team support via healing, no one ever pays attention to the healer.
Pact: The juice of this build. I plan on further mixing light and dark, being able to learn from spirits of both types will let me play spiritual politics, and forge a middle path. In magical girl public, I'll just be throwing light summons out.
Physicality and Celerity are both defensive picks. Become hard to hit, hard to damage, and get a healing factor from spirit makes me a low priority target. Just running around the battlefield spewing out healing and throwing summons at the problem.
Force: Got it from my regalia, and telekinesis is always fun.
Quiks: Large Reserves, Shrouded magic, Gifted.
Shrouded magic to make my plan harder to trace back to me. Gifted to learn the tricks to ward of psychic magic, to fit in with the corporate world, and to eventually pioneer research into mixing light and dark. Reserves to fuel the pact magic, and stay alive.
Its sad when kino designs have so little fanart.

LoL indeed. The low quality bait continues. Shitposters are running out of ideas.
>>96105497Ultimate Art: Continuous - Since half my magic is focused on my body, I intrinsically take on aspects of the things I summon or make pacts with, before the specialized tier, with compounding effects if I ever get there. Additionally I have a knack for finding spirits most willing to go along with my plans.
Patrons: Gaia, Urist, and She Who Dreams In Shadows
Gaia: My goal is to keep humanity alive. Her goal is to keep humanity alive. She is willing to walk a middle path and so am I. We are naturally allies.
Urist: Being not yet set in her patterns, she gives me the perfect opportunity to try to nudge her into a god of twilight. My plan is to dabble and deal, to learn the secrets on both sides, and use them to forge a middle path between all consuming darkness and burning purified light. I will be perfectly honest with my intentions and plans with her, of course. Even if she would reject my ultimate aim, having an agent who believes he is playing both sides would be a great source of information. Then again Urist, how better to learn as much as you may than by dabbling in shade yourself?
S.W.D.I.S. - I feel I need a Dark patron, and her primary boon fits my goals well, and her price is acceptable. Fear is a good emotion to have, it has kept humanity alive.
Day Job: Corporate. Time to learn corporate magic and rituals. The plan, ultimately, is to climb to the top of Aurelius by contracting with spirits of Dark and cutting better deals than they ever could via my privileged position. It also gives me the best opportunity to exercise fear to win the rat race.
Contacts:
Marie, Sylka, and Iris: These are the ones who are most likely to not outright reject having their limits broken but also not abuse the newfound power. Marie as she has had to of worked with (or at least know of) dark magicians, Sylka as she just seems neat, and Iris for information gathering and NEET solidarity.

>>96105718Missions - All (for XP farming), but of particular note: Oil Rig Ritual for new and interesting summons. Hunting Horrors, it would be nice to pact him to my side. Same with Memetic agent and Maddened Sister, and corrupted spill - those dark spirits would be better suited working for me.
Lastly Quantum God. The climax of my story - I will free the spirit from its chains, heal its broken form, and bind it into the service of .
Should I not die in the attempt, I will position myself as the grey in between light and darkness, gather allies that are amenable to my ideals, use pact magic such that the hierarchy will survive me, and help hold the world together for as long as I live. From lowly corporate ritualist to binder of gods.
I doubt my attempts to sway Urist will convince her in my lifetime, but should I live long enough, I would see her have a wing in both light and dark, a twilight diety.

>>96105846I mean the text of the CYOA nearly forces you down this road. You do not get to pick whether you have darkness within you, it is forced upon you. Along with what happens to the Myrmidions, it displays that the Light is just as dangerous to one's humanity as the Dark, just in a different way. We're just playing the game the CYOA wants us to play, as you are playing the first magical mixture of light and dark. Perhaps true rejection of the metanarrative would be to approach Hashmillim to purge the darkness from your soul - thus denying the unease the CYOA is trying to instill in you when it comes to the side of Light.

(There's gotta be some natural ebb and flow anyway, I can't imagine they'd go full crusade on every local cult that crops up.) But as I figure it, they don't puppeteer their followers; certainly not the bulk of them, and even the devoted are still sentient beings amenable in principle to persuasion (particularly as that's my speciality). The watchword is winnowing of 'enemy' support for military action, firstly by being generally righteous in the first place, so that the only real cause for action is an authoritarian "because the goddess said so," then by the natural doubled-up charming nature of my territory that would beguile a sizeable chunk of those who did show up with any doubts at all, and then finally the exquisitely persuasive abilities of my diplomats and ultimately myself, to appeal to those whose hostility persisted through (but hopefully was undermined by) all the rest. It's all set up with the hope and intention that almost none would be willing, at the very end of the journey, to draw their swords, with my praetorians more than adequate for dispatching those few who, with heavy hearts, did.
Really, a greater concern may be the possibility of mindless foes unmoved by reason or beauty.

It says Normal Meguca take 10-20 years to master their specialties, at that with our funky broken limiters we can do it in half the time as a base (So 5-10 Years), but for our non specialties do we presumably follow a similar growth curve as if it was another Meguca with their specialty (I.E if you go Specialized in Radiant but get Master in Physicality you can fully realized your Radiant Magic in 5-10 years, while Mastering Physicality will take 10-20 years)?
Gifted seems less focused on our own magic and more skill in learning magic outside of our choices.
Would taking the Witch Outfit potentially half the amount of time from that and have us learn our specialty in like 2.5 years if we go balls to the walls with training/fighting? Though I guess the 'quicker at learning magic, progressing faster then most' might be intentionally vague. A bit odd there isn't a perk that just hyper focuses on you speeding up your learning in your chosen magic (rather then just a generalist which I'm not really too interested in learning).

“The presocratic Empedocles of Akragas was, among other things, the first to suggest that it takes time for light to travel. He held that light takes time to travel from one place to another - but that we cannot perceive its motion. He knew that the moon shines by light reflected from the sun and was also aware of the cause of solar eclipses. He also concluded that matter could neither be created nor destroyed, and developed an early theory of evolution concluding that form followed function and that the most fit survived.”
“He was also a cult leader, a mystic who practiced magic, and an eccentric who believed himself divine, committing ritual suicide by jumping into an active volcano, proclaiming he’d rise from the ashes as a living god. He did not.”
“Empedocles' philosophy is best known for originating the cosmogonic theory of the four classical elements, and influencing Aristotle who came after.”

>>96107526>anon outs himself as having a two digit iq
>>96107384I'm not the creator, but these are my thoughts. The witch outfit just generically says magical pursuits. Gifted specifically calls out non-magical girl magic. The witch outfit's bonus should be comparable to the other bonuses you get from other regalia. Reading through them, you have a couple modifications to spells (faster or overcharge) or more generic abilities. The most similar comparison we have is Cute and Large Reserves, which both give extra reserves. Comparing the description it sounds like Cute's '...you can be more liberal with spell usage' does not give as much as large Reserves' "...much more Firepower without worrying about cost". If I was putting numbers to that I would bet that the cute dress gives you 20% more reserves and large Reserves at about 80% more than the average girl.
I would do these multiplicatively and give a magical girl who has both 116% more than the avreage girl.
This tracks as you can directly compare any Quirk to getting two AP (from overcharged), and so any other Quirk would likely give a commencement boost in combat effectiveness.
Because of how important learning curve is, I would knock the boosts down a little percentage wise (considering you are already learning magical girl abilities at Double the rate from being unlocked), and restrict the witch outfit only to boosting learning magical girl abilities.
I would give the witch outfit a 12.5% increase over normal, and the gifted worth 50%.
So taking both would give you a 3.375 multiplier ( or 237.5% faster than the average girl) for learning your magical girl abilities, but only a 1.5 multiplier ( or 50% faster than the average girl) for non-magical girl abilities.
As you were described as a weapon, I would ascribe anything that comes from the natural process to only that which would make you a better weapon linearly, whereas the quirks which are abnormal (you cannot tell me that tok's is part of the normal) would help with things outside of the that purview.

This is like Christians arguing that “God is above physics”, which is the equivalent of arguing He isn’t real at all.
