I think celerity is mostly about reaction, at least if you're airborne. So, you could change directions faster, but your momentum would stay the same as you can't cheat the physics of the situation.

Perfect timing, here's her page. The truth is, she's very, very good at it. The only crew or mission client who isn't a virgin is, shockingly, very good at sex. And can put up a terrific performance!
But you probably don't want the performance. You want her true self. Well, the truth is that Ai-chan would probably prevent you from having sex with her for awhile, recommending you don't until you were married to her. And it's probably a good idea, to give her time to get used to things!
Married sex with Mizuho would be the most intensely needy thing you've ever seen. She would be insatiable, as though afraid that if she ever actually stopped, it would never happen again. You'd probably need to dedicate, like, a month-long honeymoon vacation just to get a LOT of things out of her system. She'd never stab you or anything, but you'd basically never not be doing something with her. And there would be sad times, she'd cry a lot, but she cries a lot anyway. In years to come, when it's her turn, or if she's your only wife, whenever she isn't having one of her breakdowns she would be just absolutely *constant*. So, the idea is I'm a binding specialist in the field. Bind things, throw them in my subsidized dimensional home, and they either come out fixed or never seen again.

On the inside, I'm using binding and psychic and my special contracts from my suit to break them, turn them into my agents, and using my ultimate art to continuously drain their magic to feed into me. Ideally, they can also prepare spells to feed into my grimoire. Anything that's too strong gets killed in the name of bone mother and gets crafted into a tool. Sure it's hard to control a large number of creatures, but that's before binding gets supported by my psychic specialization powers to make them dedicated to me, on top of using contracts which can rope in some power from unsubdued parties.

And with my shrouded magic, ideally everything stays nice and hidden and nobody can spot my pawns. With Gifted, I hopefully can also learn other forms of magic from those that I capture. The goal is to create a large group of essentially magic batteries, as well as multi core processing to allow me to produce and store magic the likes of which have never been seen.

I wanted to add a secondary epilogue to each girl, effectively a second scene that happens after the first, but only if you have one/several of the guests or other crew members... but adding ANOTHER complexity seemed insane, when that's already the game's biggest sin, so instead everyone gets one little scene. I hope you enjoyed their reactions to marrying you! I promise all of them are happy. Even Mizuho. Mizuho can't process happiness properly, you see. I think Firebat's reaction was particularly cute. Switched to subdued for the stealth bonus, because Shrouded Magic doesn't help if someone tries to test me directly. Removed grimoire because I don't need to fake rituals when I can use them normally. For my implement's ability, it improves the power and precision of runic spells, which will allow it to benefit me without betraying my nature.

Finished up my image build for this, pretty par for the course for me, making good out of evil. The addition of explicit angels in this version helps (my previously sketched-out build imitated them with hybrid instead), even if the increased cost for land transformation hurt me a bit.

I'm not really sure why brood costs 2 points, though; the benefit seems to be mostly one of theme, since it specifies that minions can breed within their own species anyway...are children of minions also minions?

But yes, not too many viable drawbacks when aiming for nobility.

Amusingly to me, a couple days before the update dropped I was thinking about the CYOA again and how despite your obviously evil presentation the morality is somewhat ambiguous. The Being is not named as actually evil, the goddesses, shiny appearances aside, are not particularly described as morally good. The end goal being just the removal of the goddesses' influence on the world stands out as well as the complete freedom of how you achieve it.
My interpretation was that the goddesses fucked up big time with that long ago war and resulting cataclysmic event, leading to other gods wanting to punish them for it. But divine politics being what it is they could not intervene directly against the goddesses or in that world, so they empower and send (you) as an agent. The whole "evil overlord" shtick being not only just the result of it being the most simple and straightforward way of removing anything relating to the goddesses on the world, but also telling you that you really are free to do whatever is neccessary. Basically "this world is so fucked up from the goddesses it has to be hard reset", that even an "evil overlord" would be better. At least he would somewhat care about the realm he fought so hard to conquer, right?

The update having descriptions that explicitly lump the Being in with evil gods put a stop to that interpretation though.

Thanks - I wanted to add in Joining and Recycling as well, to be able to offer the possibility of resurrection to those people who join the realm willingly...even if, mechanically, I don't think it actually makes a great deal of sense, having to pay 'full price' again. Also the combination of joining and elitism would be a bit awkward, since an 'ordinary guy' couldn't Join as a peon, they'd need to have a good chunk of essence invested to become someone more important.

But I couldn't find an adequate drawback to pay for it, anyway, so I suppose it's not important. Mundane was a little tempting, but I figured realistically it would be much too crippling unless you also had Industrialize (or even then). And Lustful Minions I figure you could actually manage pretty non-disruptively with an appropriate investment in concubines, but it was non-thematic for the build, and wouldn't have given enough on its own anyway to pull it off.

Honestly, the basic units just aren't that interesting. While I could see potential use within my plans for Swarmer, Kamikaze, Burrower, Parasite, and Watcher, I don't value any of them at 1 unit point. Looking through all the current units and considering what I prioritize, I would spend 45 points before I would buy any of them. I think this confirms my theory that MiCha's adjustment was intended to increase build diversity, which is a reasonable goal as most of v 1.0's builds were extremely similar but he made a mistake.

It is always better to give too few points to start with so that when you inevitably need to rebalance anons view it as generous, instead of the opposite. The cost shifting is identical but the psychology isn't, which is what I suspect most of the complainers are angry about.

Personally, I like the changes. The costs are more granular, which is neat, and the point totals necessitate a more focused build, and probably my favorite part of CYOAs is breaking them down to find the specific format that works for what I'm aiming for. Most anons don't agree, though, and this nerfed their builds so I can see why they're upset. One way to mitigate the backlash might've been to increase the point total from 25 to 30, doubling it to match the switch, or tweaking unit costs to reduce them again though that would defeat the point. I think the points don't matter as much as the lore text for the wider world, which many anons have read as much more dire than it is. If you are reading this MiCha, I liked the update a lot, but I think readjusting or reclarifying it would probably get a lot more builds. That was the best part of this CYOA for me, seeing the various builds.

Here's the thing, micha had fixed a lot of what people didn't like about the cyoa, in the current version there's only a few minors things:

That's it aside from the most pressing issues honestly, the two things most harped about before was

Both of these things contributed to everyone taking elitist, micha had almost fixed the point issue until he self-admittedly nerfed it last second, nerfing everyone without fixing the issues. All micha has to do is 10 minutes of rebalancing, version 1.1, fix the stuff above, revert the elite minion point nerfs, keep the total at 25 and adjust the final paragraph text so the enemies aren't so strong. Boom, cyoa goes from whats looking to be flop of the year to cyoa of the year. It's literally that simple.

As a human I side with humans. Within the text of the CYOA, humans are abominations to both Light and Dark. On a long enough timescale, one side will eventually win, either wiping out humanity or changing it utterly. The goal is to delay that victory for as long as possible, and possibly create a god of the twilight.

Male - I am me, if a bit younger.

Regalia: Subdued - Force does nothing for me, I'll need to exist on the edges, to glean power from both sides. Better to be unnoticed when you are no one's ally.

Implement: Grimoire - With what I plan, just having another book in the stack of books won't change much. Besides, I've loved vancian magic for years, it's always had the best alpha.

Schools:
Specializations: Spirit and Pact.
Adept: Physicality and Celerity.
Novice: Force.

Spirit: I feel that being able to interact with the soul of things (via spirit) will ultimately give me the best long term benefit when making deals with spirits. Add on that I can act as team support via healing, no one ever pays attention to the healer.

Pact: The juice of this build. I plan on further mixing light and dark, being able to learn from spirits of both types will let me play spiritual politics, and forge a middle path. In magical girl public, I'll just be throwing light summons out.

Physicality and Celerity are both defensive picks. Become hard to hit, hard to damage, and get a healing factor from spirit makes me a low priority target. Just running around the battlefield spewing out healing and throwing summons at the problem.

Force: Got it from my regalia, and telekinesis is always fun.

Quiks: Large Reserves, Shrouded magic, Gifted.

Shrouded magic to make my plan harder to trace back to me. Gifted to learn the tricks to ward of psychic magic, to fit in with the corporate world, and to eventually pioneer research into mixing light and dark. Reserves to fuel the pact magic, and stay alive.

How much does it take someone to progress their magics with the Witch Outfit Learning Booster and Gifted?

It says Normal Meguca take 10-20 years to master their specialties, at that with our funky broken limiters we can do it in half the time as a base (So 5-10 Years), but for our non specialties do we presumably follow a similar growth curve as if it was another Meguca with their specialty (I.E if you go Specialized in Radiant but get Master in Physicality you can fully realized your Radiant Magic in 5-10 years, while Mastering Physicality will take 10-20 years)?

Gifted seems less focused on our own magic and more skill in learning magic outside of our choices.

I'm not the creator, but these are my thoughts. The witch outfit just generically says magical pursuits. Gifted specifically calls out non-magical girl magic. The witch outfit's bonus should be comparable to the other bonuses you get from other regalia. Reading through them, you have a couple modifications to spells (faster or overcharge) or more generic abilities. The most similar comparison we have is Cute and Large Reserves, which both give extra reserves. Comparing the description it sounds like Cute's '...you can be more liberal with spell usage' does not give as much as large Reserves' "...much more Firepower without worrying about cost". If I was putting numbers to that I would bet that the cute dress gives you 20% more reserves and large Reserves at about 80% more than the average girl.
I would do these multiplicatively and give a magical girl who has both 116% more than the avreage girl.

This tracks as you can directly compare any Quirk to getting two AP (from overcharged), and so any other Quirk would likely give a commencement boost in combat effectiveness.

Because of how important learning curve is, I would knock the boosts down a little percentage wise (considering you are already learning magical girl abilities at Double the rate from being unlocked), and restrict the witch outfit only to boosting learning magical girl abilities.

I would give the witch outfit a 12.5% increase over normal, and the gifted worth 50%.
So taking both would give you a 3.375 multiplier ( or 237.5% faster than the average girl) for learning your magical girl abilities, but only a 1.5 multiplier ( or 50% faster than the average girl) for non-magical girl abilities.

As you were described as a weapon, I would ascribe anything that comes from the natural process to only that which would make you a better weapon linearly, whereas the quirks which are abnormal (you cannot tell me that tok's is part of the normal) would help with things outside of the that purview.
