Yuri is shit because it's a genre not meant for men, but very often pushed onto men. Most men, at some level, understand that yuri is cuckoldry. A soft and feminine form of cuckoldry, sure, but it's still about (you) watching what is presented as (your girl) getting taken by someone who isn't (you). You run into gender dysphoria from trying to insert as (your girl) or the love interest, and that bothers men. So most men throw up their hands at the genre and go on their way.

So when a straight cis man is trying to consume media, and enjoy their day and feel like things are right for the world, the last thing they want is to see two girls slobbering on each other while Discord names with pronouns in their profile decry it as, "the best thing ever." It annoys men, it frustrates men, and it reminds men that most media isn't really catered to them, anymore. But everyone still acts like it is.
