Do you guys ever get scared that other people at your table lurk here and see you talking about them
Anonymous No.96141357 [Report]
I know they do and I don't give a fuck.

No. My players lack the sunk-cost fallacy that keeps me coming back as if this website hadn't been incel trash since 2017.

I have proof they do. If they have something to say to me personally, they know where to find me. If it's just harmless shit, I don't care. If it's harmful shit, I know where to find them.

Only one of my friends uses 4chan and he's on /vg/ 90% of the time, so he's basically dead from the neck up and won't care if I talk about them.

I actually lost a friend from that once because I said that his campaign kind of sucked and the hamfisted railroady story it had was boring and he took great offense to it.

I don't tell any of my friends I use 4chan and chances are there's someone in your group hiding their powerlevel that won't tell you either

A guy in my battletech group once recognized me posting in /btg/ and had a complete freakout over it, then left to start a separate group and play only alpha strike.
Anonymous No.96141678 [Report]
Did you ever suspect a post was someone from your group

No.
I send them screenshots of the posts when some anon reacts to some story, like the wererat stuff in the 3.5e general.
My friends were amused to say the least by the call to "keep fighting the good fight".

It didn't have the same memes but it was still the same trash long before, except also with longcats, cockmongler, random surprise CP/guro/other disgusting shit or so on.

I know sharethread regulars. I can't imagine them using anything else in the site. Basically this >>96141465

Incel shit here started with the advent of /r9k/, especially around the time Elliot Rodger did the thing
Anonymous No.96141951 [Report]
I know for a fact people I encounter locally lurk here.

it become arcanine's defining feature once every possible topic of discussion got turned into a board. We used to have decent threads about books and diy, social threads were popular, I don't believe business advice from 4chan is a good idea at all but it was there too. Once nothing else was left the incel threads had all the room in the world to breed.

There's very little overlap between people I play with and people who browse /tg/. But also, they'll probably never notice, because I don't really talk about the games that I'm currently in here.
Anonymous No.96143417 [Report]
No lol. I wouldn't play a game with people that degenerate.

I haven't dm'd or played a game since pre-pandemic, so no, I don't care. No games. No fear.

I know one other player lurks here. They usually stick to the character art threads or the generals (specifically the WoD or D&D generals) though. The other players use reddit or facebook.

Of my best players, half are people I met on /tg/, and all but one of them at least lurk the boards. I admit, I sometimes moderate what I say, just in case they see my posts and recognize me.

Of my other players, I hope they DO see this! Hey Rip! Your drunken antics (and to be fair, Warlock and Boomy backing you up) were the closest I've ever come to dropping rocks on the party and ending a campaign early. It took all my GM experience to contrive a scenario where the PCs didn't instantly get a firing squad.
