Originally a fairly baseline Human, in my wanderings I discovered a long lost shrine to a primordial life spirit. In cleaning up the place I reawakened it, and in its gratitude it has blessed me, and with my consent made me its sole champion in this age. As it has only just recently awoken after millenia, the powers it grants me are relatively weak, but pull from practices that have long since diverged into disparate and separate specializations.
The most obvious aspect to those around me are the mutations my patron has bestowed upon me: gaining Height like those ancient trees that have grown for centuries; a Brutish strength akin to ancient beasts, alongside the natural weapons of those that prowl the untamed wilds; less outwardly apparent, my innards have been similarly enhanced, granting me Resistance to natural maladies and harmful substances created with natural materials.
I have also been gifted with abilities more magical in form, relating to the life shaped by my patron spirit in the distant past: with precise strikes on spiritually significant areas, my Hands can enhance the Healing of another’s body to supernatural speeds, consuming no mana but allowing for enhanced recovery; for more dire situations or rapid response, I can use mana to channel my Patron’s ways to directly manipulate another’s life and directly Shape their Flesh to regenerate lost limbs and organs, and close wounds or recover injuries at a pace much faster and more directed than my Healing Hands.

Lastly, communion, allegiance, and lasting friendship with my Patron has benefitted me greatly as I have learned a great deal of more mundane skills: I can effectively and respectfully use the Life I find, even in places scarce or otherwise unusual like a Dungeon, preparing, combining, and Cooking them into dishes palatable and filling to even the most picky of eaters… there is also an unusual side effect I have found that seems to only affect myself (potentially due to the connection to my Patron) allowing me to gain supernatural benefits from ingredients and food infused with the magic inherent to dungeons; As a being most ancient, my patron has knowledge of scripts and languages that have fallen from common parlance epochs ago. They may not directly translate those used within dungeons, but they are so essentially primordial and prototypical that nearly all scripts created within even the past millenia have some root or origin in them, allowing me to discern meaning from even the most obscure of Ancient Languages; Finally, I inevitably have great knowledge of mundane healing, treatment, and First Aid due to the knowledge required to use my Healing Hands and my Flesh Shaping.
One side benefit I have found during my travels is that those of a more religious inclination, worshipping gods or others of similar status, can sense the connection to my patron - and interpret its primordial nature as that of a divine being long lost to the passage of time, a Celestial like those they worship, and thus they shower me in praise and blessing for rediscovering and returning such a being to our age.

Recalling my original encounter with my Patron, while cleaning up their shrine I had found a Rabbit’s Foot laid at the altar, covered in dirt and detritus like everything else in the vicinity, suggesting it to be as old as the the rest of the shrine, yet perfectly preserved as if it had been set there scant days ago; perhaps it had been the final offering to the spirit before being abandoned. Nevertheless, upon awakening and bestowing my championship, my Patron bid me to take the charm, ascribing to it the cause of my discovery of its shrine and its subsequent awakening, a latent blessing of luck that had lain dormant for eons but blossomed with my arrival.
After some time on the island, my patron has felt faint echoes within the crypts that it portents are attempts by cultists and others seeking power to summon primordial spirits like itself; the danger is not just the summoning of malevolent spirits, but also benevolent ones that it had allied with in the distant past that could be corrupted, damaged, or driven insane by the often crude and cruel practices of those seeking power at any cost. As such, it has asked me to delve into the dungeon to either dismiss or confirm its fears, and stop any summonings in the latter case - though if my Patron finds that the spirit that was trying to be summoned is a benevolent one, it could potentially awaken it properly, and in doing so the reawakened spirit would be looking to find a new champion… which could be one of my party-mates, if they consent to it.

Friendship's a blessing too. The Labyrinth I'm better acquainted with than most and something of a waltzing scaffolder to boot. The Unravellers plot fiendish killzones with me and are glad for introductions with the unpretentious Eviscerators (they're not great at sport but make for interesting house-rules). The Controllers I must regrettably restrain on account of my strong feelings against playing with one's food.

The partnership with Hutt more than makes up for it I should think, with my silk-sealed gutters and her hydromancy we've turned much of the Labyrinth's upper reaches into a non-Euclidean super-slalom megaslide for all our amphibious friends to enjoy. The kids are too big to ride but really dig following along from up above. In hunts they hide among cloud cover except to pass on signals with semaphore plasma-flares or flash-vapourise water reserves for cover.

Not sure about my Technique selections but I do love Conjuration, especially if it could let me summon a constant companion like a Familiar or allow me to summon the same creature over time to build up a rapport with them.

Empowerment is also great to quickly get out of tight spots and I'm hoping that Shadowmancy could pair up with Wayfinding to help me quickly lose pursuers.

I like the wealth of Skills I'm able to have. The paint the picture of someone used to travel and the required self sufficiency but who may be out of their element in a place like this island/dungeon with it's strange creatures, flora and fauna.

I'm open for suggestions for changes or to hear arguments for why I should or shouldn't pick other options.

First order of business is making some perfect shapeshifter concubines and tricking them over town. Then once I’ve farmed enough cash and essence from the Corrupter perk Ill set up a brothel in town and plant my dungeon seed in the basement.

With a Brothel staffed by shapeshifting concubines (which require zero upkeep while within the dungeon seed) I should have a large flow of cash and essence pouring in which ill use to start churning out Spys, Mesmers, Infiltrators and Wraiths to secretly take control of the power structure in the city, pitting the different guilds against each other while Im at it.

Somewhere along the way Ill have my Alchemists start distributing an addicting Labido increasing drug throughout the city to further farm cash and essence while eroding the social fabric of the local society. At the same time I can unleash parasites, infectors and plague-bearers on the countryside to wipe out the populous aligned with the wild goddess while driving more population into the city centres. Maybe I even have my Alchemists brew a “vaccine” to the epidemic to further establish control over the people.

Once I have a firm control of the city I can start shipping Spawners and Strategos across to the other major population centres, destabilising and controlling them using the same modus operandi.

By the time anyone catches on ill have enough resources and control to fill my lack of combat minion roles with mercenaries and the joining perk.

That actually is one of my complaints with the CYOA; you would think that would make sense, but the apparent functionality of the Joining perk is effectively incompatible with it, since a Joined individual becomes one of your normal unlocked unit types (and perhaps even species, though that's much less clearly stated).

I like the idea and any concept with monster girls is good in my book. I personally think that the alien producers should be mysterious and communicate as little as possible to the people sort of like gods. The people know they were sent there, they have no idea how or why to the point that some begin to forget about the past or make cults in the name of the aliens. The cost rebalance makes for more compelling choices and varied builds, the additional traits and drawbacks are all interesting, and the specialization adds an entire new dimension to the already expanded unit roster. With Ablative Armor and the shield turrets I felt engineer needed more defense as even the Mage had Elemental armor going. I didn't know what else Engineer could make that would make sense with everything needing an attached draw back or without getting too modern tech. The explosives were the only thing I coul think of that went far enough back and played into the idea that they would also be used for mining and if the old homes from the Mountain keep had to demolished. And for improving the prexisisting things it could make Savant had that covered. You know your vision better than I of course and I made suggestions blind to it.

I live in a mage tower in the capital of a magocracy as an alchemist and mage. My main source of income comes from selling magical food which, while not as potent as typical potions, has little to no side effects and allows for steady long term improvement. As a practical person, I'm more focused on the effects than the taste. I grow most of my ingredients in an alchemy garden in my tower and buy the ones I haven't managed or bothered to grow.
