I'm working on these modular-ish trench/barricade walls.
once the mud dries I plan to smear some more on the ground, maybe add some rocks at the back side, then glue in some popsicle stick planks for a floor and backing to the barricade.

The Tau have cool minis but I dislike the piss sand color scheme, other tha white and crimson is there any color scheme that uses cool tones?

The Terminus Decree lore literally makes sense and I think that all the people crying about it are lorelets who don't realize Imperial civil war is classic 40k and that the Astronomicon is the single most important thing in the entirety of the setting for the continued existence of the human race.

People who own zero Custodes or Gray Knights models just have a fag right now to be mad about something that changes nothing. This is literally even less of a nothingburger than Eldar wraithbone.

I think the models are beautiful. I genuinely hope when they primarisized in a year the models don't fucking suck.

In my opinion the GK termies are some of the best looking firstborn termies there are, which makes sense because they were the last firstborn release before Primaris came out so they are one of two firstborn ranges that uses the modern sprue construction with the high fidelity plastic. (Along with Deathwatch veterans)

I needed to destroy 3 objectives for a total of 45VP, for every objective that stayed in the end gave my opponent 20vp. So with infiltrating genestealers I destroyed the first one, sent 3 blocks of bodies to the 2nd one even Baal Predator couldn't kill enough so they destroyed the 2nd one. Blocked a lot of stuff with my 20 neophytes so a Goliath Truck was able to escort Metamorphs to destroy the 3rd one. We're playing Tyrannic Wars so I set the stage for a Tyranid Invasion, nothing pyrrhic about that :^)

Tabletop Tactics paint scheme for their Steeljacks was pretty neat.

I agree, but if they were GOING to do it its a fine way to do it. I think the Lion should always have been hinted at being in stasis instead of coming back as well. At least the model is nice. Guilliman should have stayed in a vault as well. Primaris shouldn't exist, they should have just done a new scale refresh.

Pointless question, but did the Custodes get taller fter Primaria were created? Before I could've sword the bananas were said to be 8 feet tall, or roughly a head taller than marines. That proportion still seems to be true, except it's head & shoulders taller than Primaris, who are already a foot taller than older Marines.

Also, anybody notice the recent size inflation in Imperium shit? Like the Emperor somehow the size of a Warhound or most Primarchs being over 10 feet? Are 30K dudes like orks or some shit?

Depends on what material the surface underneath is supposed to be and just how weathered you want it to look.
Generally you use two colors for chipping:
1. A highlight color that is supposed to be the original color of the paint, visible on the edges of the chipped area, where the chipping exposed the clean insides of the paint layer.
2. The weathered surface color, that is supposed to be the underlying material that was exposed by the chipping and is now rusting/getting dirty.

Next preview show is going to be dark elf themed the same way the last one was dwarf themed. GW is going to announce Dark Elves for the Old World, new Daughters of Khaine release for AoS, and new Drukhari for 40K. It's not happening at NOVA though, they're pushing it back to Warhammer day

Apparently the reason why the URSR is so dug in and loath to do strategic withdrawals is because they're protecting a dormant Votann. At the heart of their territory is an artificial planet housing an inactive ancestor core that they believe is one of the first of its kind, if not the very first. Seemingly they have told no one about this. And since the URSR don't know how to boot the core up, they can't verify their suspicions. So for the past however many thousands of years they have essentially went through a list of every known activation rite and cipher with nothing to show for it.

>When attempting to charge an enemy behind a wall, use the rules for Breaching instead of a standard charge
>During a Breaching charge, the charging unit must be within 2 inches of the enemy, rather than engagement range as per normal. Units within 2 inches and those in base contact with units within 2 inches are considered in combat.
>When doing a Breaching charge, the defending models gain the Fights First ability, and gain +1 to wound until the end of the turn.
>If the defending models are destroyed, the charging models can consolidate 6 inches, as long as all of them are on the other side of the wall that they charged
>If either attacker or defender attempt to Fall Back from a combat that was started from a Breaching charge, they must take a desperate escape test, adding +1 to the result

the 6 inch consolidation won't work with big infantry but its a neat idea. what counts so "other side of the wall" is actually really ambiguous with big models. also measuring through a wall is practically harder than regular engagement as well. its a harder to solve problem than you think.
