Had some fun playing with my Tidus deck tonight, not 100% sure how I feel about it in its entirety, and some cards I actively didn't cast because they felt too slow without Haste (Sazh in particular), so I checked through my boxes and I have a (fairly large) Maybeboard of potential additions/changes.

You're going pretty hard on the permanent 3 or less thing, but you can easily cut some of those down for more board wipes since you're getting walled by big boards. You're also running 30 lands because you ave 6 mdfc, which means you're likely not going to cast them since you need the land drop, which means you're just using bad lands. You can also put in more evasion to not get stopped by walls and get through with Cloud. Put in some more ramp creatures like Weathered Wayfarer since you're so light on lands and you can recur them. Ideally you want to ramp turn 2 so you can play Squall turn 3 instead of four when everyone already has defenses up.

Breena works really well with Trouble in Pairs like effects where you get shit from your opponent drawing extra.
A nongreen white deck that uses counters benefits from Scholar of New Horizons, lean into that. Loyal Warhound kind of cards also bear counters so they're better to use than signets. You're runnign some good protection effects like Clever Concealment and Flare of Fortitude, ou can lean into that a bit more by having more destroy wraths since they become asymmetrical. If you can afford it, put a Bowmasters in there. Generous pup supercharges the deck.

Because it turns out just getting a vanilla 1/1 whenever you play a creature isn't that powerful and eminence is an overhyped boogeyman hated by shitters who can't build proper decks wwhhooooaaaooaaaahhhh mind blown!

Edgar actually sucks but vampires are extremely outdated and don't have a viable Mardu aggro commander so if you want to play Vamp tribal aggro he's your only choice. The best way to play him (and vamp aggro) is to fill up your deck with a bunch of 1-2 mana vamps and the anthems and try to flood your opponents before they get a board established while digging/tutoring for Cloudstone Curio. You could try to go an aristocrats route but besides giving 2 creatures per summon Edgar sucks and if you're playing honest vamp tribal you're already locked out of the best aristrocrats creatures.

A properly built Isshin deck does what Edgar does 5x better. Pack it full of myriad and the mobilize creatures and a couple of aristocrats staples to take advantage of the tokens saccing themselves and youll beat vamps every single time.

The only truly broken commanders in this game are DO THING DRAW CARD or self enabling value engines like Vivi. Markov is thoroughly bracket 2, even if you put the Sanguine Bond/Exquisite Blood+Vito/Conqueror in it.

Any aristocrats deck worth it's salt is going to have a blood artist effect out for almost the entire game. Sephiroth's doesn't go away when he dies, big whoop. Bastion of Remembrance doesn't die to wrath of god ether and nobody is shelling out 60 bucks for that card. He's fine in any aristocrats deck but the conversation stops at fine. The character's reputation got ahead of his card's actual ability.

Shelly is better, more flexible, and will continue to be a strong archetype agnostic punisher card for years to come.

Take two decks of comparable power - hell two decks that have basically the exact same build - but one has a guaranteed way to draw cards and the other has to rely on RNG to maybe pull some card draw, the one with guaranteed draw will have a massive advantage and will win more than 75% of the time against the other.

Just because something is boring and mundane and increases consistency doesn't mean it's not broken. Monkeys having fingers is pretty boring and mundane but if we didn't we would've never gone to space.

Guaranteed draw is busted because the very basic mechanics means seeing more cards than your opponents gives you a massive advantage, especially if you can get away with dedicated less of your to draw because you don't have a guaranteed draw engine in the command zone. Generally, all I usually do is just make a bunch of Karnstructs and station something with a metric fuckton of charge counters then move those counters with Moxite Refinery as +1/+1 counters and aim for commander damage.

Or, a good ol'fashioned Darksteel Reactor victory.

Luckily I live in a conservative Christian area of my state, it's mostly dads and normal people. I am yet to encounter a single rainbow hair or troon in my LGS since I moved here. Sometimes local art school kids show up but even they look and act normal. However, in the suburbd and city near me, every single LGS is filled with troons and rainbow haired 300 lbs antifa faggots like it's a plague. So glad I moved.

Rancor is one of my favorite cards. It's still decent in Tifa. She dies alot so a repeatable boost for 1 mana isn't bad. I prefer Adventuring Gear and Skyclave Pickaxe, but early versions of my deck had rancor.

Mirrorpool can also do it on a land but needs a wingnut, so I don't run that, nor do I run Minion Reflector since it's too overcosted for it's effect compared to others I have already. I think that's it for ones that fit in a MonoG deck, though I haven't checked for the last year or so of sets.

Tifa had started off as a typical femoid but Cloud's actions on his return to Nibelheim made her grow up and mature, she was genuinely caring and charming and saw the bigger picture. Even without her superior costume design, she was out and out a more interesting and likeable character.

Plus Aerith's cards are boring and underpowered, while mono-G Tifa can consistently pull off turn 3 kills and Naya Tifa is a fun extra combats machine that scratches the Timmy itch to fight 4+ times in a row.

The idea they cannot get IPs makes some sense due to the Japanese being genuinely retarded on business matters. It would make business sense for Japanese companies to give WOTC IPs. Because their own card games are largely unpopular outside of Japan, and MTG isn't huge in Japan. So you'll get money from two groups without an actual large amount of crossover. No one in Japan is going to drop the DB card game because Goku got on a magic card.

One Piece is the one that would not make sense to give the IP of. It seems relatively popular in the west. I see it played more than Yugioh.

Man, I went to my LGS with this and had a miserable game. It was going alright until someone dropped a Ruric Thar. That in itself was fine, correct even. Most of my spells were noncreature; we had a 5c control goodstuff deck at the table that was mostly draw-go, and the locust god.

But then the 5c goodstuff deck plays fucking Sheoldred into The One Ring and passes. The Ruric Thar player decides to chip damage me so I can play even less spells. I take 6 more to Blanchwood Armor my commander so I don't eat more of the guy's blind swings.

Then the Sheoldred player windfalls, and suddenly the locust god is super out of the game and I can't cast any of the five answers in my hand. That leaves Ruric Thar in a 1v1 with a deck he can't hope to beat.

This is why I lose most games:

>have an actual mana curve with the majority of my deck 1-3 mana
>barely any 4+ mana cards, those that get included are finishers or stupidly good for their cost
>understand what my deck is and build around it
>while everyone else is durdling around LAND - PASS turn 1-4 I'm playing something every turn and have a full board by turn 5 and have hit people several times before they even get one piece on the board
>this means everyone panics about me and starts ganging up on me regardless of what else hits the table
>get beat down until everyone suddenly realizes the other guy has 5 dragons and is putting 3 on the board every turn now
