How hard is it to cast a 4 mana card that's all color pips in the first place when lethal is threatened by that turn?
The backside could say "when this transforms, you win the game" and it wouldn't matter because it's never going to happen with how fast the game has gotten.

While ultimately every deck will never be able to always have it, I think many casuals players lean too hard on "I didn't draw it!" as an excuse for poor deckbuilding.
Like they'll have 5 sources of draw in their whole deck and 2 are cantrips. Accompanied by 2 pieces of interaction total. Yeah no shit you didn't draw it because you're not drawing shit, let alone one of two specific cards.

Is there a hub for old AID screenshots or something? I got really sentimental for the good old days for some reason, and some of those screenshots made me laugh so damn hard.

The endless cycle.
>Creatures suck because they die to removal
>Make protection so you can make creatures resistant to removal
>Now protection is considered mandatory to keep your creatures alive
>Print some protection on the big expensive creatures to compensate for their cost so you don't need to separately pay for their protection on top of the actual creature
>Now removal sucks because it doesn't do its one job against the creatures with built-in protection
>Make removal that gets around protection
>Now protection sucks because it doesn't do its one job
>So now you print stronger protection that makes creatures resistant to removal...
You know the weird thing is Konami already discovered what the endgame of this looks like with Turtle/Towers gameplay (it sucks and they aimed to never repeat that experience).

Are you implying Grief would be more balanced if people ran Kaya's Ghostform to bypass Warp instead of Not Dead After All to bypass Evoke?

>you had to pay for DLC to finish the story
I wish. The DLC had so little to do with the base game story that it's honestly an audacity that they called it "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero". The titular hidden treasure doesn't show up until the last 15 minutes of the DLC, and it doesn't even answer any of the countless questions the base game left open about Area Zero or Paradox mons. 99% of the DLC story was about Kieran and Carmine and had no relevancy to the base game story. Hidden Treasure of Area Zero my ass.
The only thing that explained anything was the hidden post-credits scene at the lake, and even that explained so little that people are debating about what it means to this day.

Because somehow WotC is less inspired than a fucking /edhg/ autist who was able to come up with 200 different Spider-Man characters then create 300 nonlegendary creatures off the top of his head.

There's a reason merchants were at the bottom of the social hierarchy in pre-Meji Japan. They were even below peasants. They contribute nothing to society. They are just middle men who extract value OUT of the economy.
