What should I be doing for prerelease when I'm basically brand new? From what I was told:

True, a lot of things are only here because of Spider-Verse, but they're still doing them as the comics did them. When I played the deck I didn't run that, but I can see it as a way to answer mana dorks and maybe even jackal pups, the format is a bit weird compared to other constructed ones, a 2/1 can indeed kill you as decks run a lot more lands than other formats and you can draw blanks for many turns in a row.
