I am of the opinion that Wizards made an enormous mistake by cementing the casual application of colorless mana in spells. This disregard toward color identity has led to the unstoppable tide of multicolored decks out performing mono colored decks. The solution while simple should have been implemented decades ago, simply that all spells should gravitate towards costs such as WW say for disenchant or GG for a grizzly bear. We are seeing Wizard's folly play out in casual formats such as commander. I wish the best for you and please do not allow Wizards to content itself upon their imprudence.

The crossover is only really about Spider-Man comics. Movies will probably give an idea of things that might be in due to mainsteam popularity, but specific movie references aren't really gonna be there. So... No, probably not. I have and here are the flaws with the deck.
Most Party cards are only worth it if you have a full party and are underwhelming other.
Getting 4 differently typed creatures to stay on board is difficult.
It would have been better if the threshold was 3 party members.

I believe it's approximately 40-odd years ago in-universe, though the only real point of comparison we have is Nissa planeswalked there as her first walk (and she mentions it being two score years ago during the Kaladesh block story) and that seemed to be before the events of the Lorwyn block story because the Aurora was still happening. So post-Mending, but relatively early into it.

yes, I believe that the only restriction is that you gotta name an actual number, you can't say "infinite", I usually go with 1 billion just to be safe
I've never played this game but am interested in it after watching some youtube tutorial and going to a convention which offered a tournament. I have 0 cards and 0 experience with any trading card games since I was 10 when I played yugioh.
I am interested in Innistrad since I like Bloodborne (It was apparently the inspiration for it.)
What is the easiest, most cost efficient way to having fun, given the circumstances?

Commander
It's a more casual format, singleton with 100 card minimum decks so you get exposure to the card pool the most. Innistrad isn't legal in standard format anyway, so if you wanted to play it you'd either play commander or modern/legacy/vintage. A new player definitively doesn't want to play the last 3. You could try looking up some commander format rules as well as general MTG ones. Then look through legendaries from the innistrad block for a commander.

what you're describing here is a format for grinders, they already have that well established in paper when RCQ season comes around and on MTGO when it doesn't
nobody, and I mean nobody, wants to play even more boros energy mirrors on arena, if they're not gonna bother adding all the cards, there's zero purpose to include """""tournament""""" modern on arena
if you're desperate to play MH block constructed onlin, historic and timeless are what you're going to get like it or not

I think if you got a faerie as good as siren you’d probably be set. Sleepy fae sort of does what you want… it’s sticky to enable fae spells, but the 3 counter turn on is a pain in the ass if it gets bounced.
Basically just need some tech as good as the mermaid/beastbinder shit on a faerie and Dimir will switch to it. Something that makes a token would be kino

Alchemy is a trash and a failure for everyone that actually is not a faggot or a HS addict. No one likes it and is wholely disliked by anyone that ever played real Magic.
Is time to let it go. The introduction of Modern lite format would be a step in the right direction.

>the lands are full art and some of them are foil too for some reason
>notable pulls were a Fountainport which is 15 USD on tcgplayer for some reason, a season of gathering, a foil Azure beastbinder and Hugs
I probably just should've bought singles but at least the box and d20 are cute and pack opening was fun. I'm trying to make an Otter/instant and sorcery themed EDH deck with either Melek or Alania as the commander so I'm shopping for singles now and got a couple at the LGS.
It begs the question, what's the appeal of fat packs nowadays?
figured this would be the place to ask.
i recently started playing MtG, thanks to the introduction of FinalFantasy, i was always a huge fan of FF specially 8 and was curious about MtG. the merge of IPs made it easier to join you guys.
with all that said and me spending the last weeks going through every set in search of cool art cards and effects i am left with mainly one question.
who is the strongest entity in MtG? lore wise that is.
i see flavour text refering to many powerful characters, dont know yet if they all have cards but lore wise, for the sake of simplicity if you will, whos the strongest in the multiverse, ever?
thank you.

magicfriends, I have a ruling question.
If I have Wilhelt Rotcleaver, Poppet Factory, and Altar of Dementia, I can infinitely sac a zombie, make someone mil, and then I get the zombie back, so infinite win combo.
But if someone has an eldrazi titan, it'll make them shuffle their grave into their deck.
Since I can infinitely redo this combo, could I just force a board state when I continue doing it until in the process of shuffling the eldrazi titan is the bottom card in their deck? I know I could physically just keep doing it, but I know it's a rule for the sake of time you can just say how many times you'd like to use an ability/force your opponent to give something a number, so in the same vein of thought could I say "in the effort of saving time, I activate altar of dementia as many times as needed until you are left with only 1 card in your deck which is -insert titan here-"?

The only reason they're doing it this time is because not competing with their mobile card game is inherent to any deal with Marvel. If they could've done so without (like Final Fantasy) then they would've, and if it were any other brand but the one Nosewater's been ""inspired by"" since the Jacetice League they would've considered it a dealbreaker.

1.Actual police so probably not Cappenna.
2.Science experiments going wrong so Ravnica or Innstrad.
3.Crime gangs signify cappena and ravnica
4.Experimentinting on meowing cats.
5.An LGBTQIAA2SP+ romance since Wotc's only abstains from that on printed cards.
6. An Island of Spider people probably Innistrad based on the Innsmouth horror.

Dragons of Tarkir was the only one of the sets you listed that was bad. You're just using rose colored glasses, older sets were even more unbalanced on average, had less playables, and also less complexity so teh gameplay and drafts were less interesting. The complexity creep may be bad for constructed, but it was a boon to limited

Most of them were reasonably balanced. Few draft formats have all color combinations as top tier. DFT was bad because the multicolor soup deck was just way better than anything else. Sets like Murders or Aetherdraft had multiple decks to draft and fun gameplay, tehre is no sense in which they were bad.
Name an era of magic with better limited set design

They were. They consistently sold poorly, had bad draft formats, and were poorly received by players. The concept of an evolving story wasn't inherently bad, but it didn't work for 3 set blocks. Maybe 2 sets would work better
>>96418654
>Out of the past few sets Final Fantasy is an all time great
White in FIN had a 63% winrate vs the 49% winrate of Red. Only made worse by the presence of super-mythic ultrabombs like Urza that just randomly show up to crack the format in half without recourse. Try again.
>EOE is good
A format utterly obliterated by mythics with 65%+ winrates. Formats entirely reliant on cracking mythic bombs are not and will never bee good.

You're just an idiot. The consensus among limited players is that FF was amazing, everyone loved it. Not all colors have to be equally strong for it to be a good, balanced format. UR spells was one of the best decks overall, red, was very playable. You also dodged my question when I asked you about a better era of limited set design.

More goes into balance than mere aggregate, as aggregate does not capture individual outlier cards that ruin games by existing. Of which, FIN has an UNGODLY number of.

I don't like limited format balance being skewed toward luck in pack cracking due to an overwhelming presence of massively broken bomb rares and mythics.
The design trend of lumping 90% of a set's power into the mythic slot and 10% of it into the rare slot makes limited bad.

Pack Rat is a perfect example of why broken rares ruin limited formats.
People just numbing their brain to it then going full NPC repeating "I had fun. I had fun. I had fun. I had fun. I had fun." in the face of persistently miserable Pack Rat tier design is a flagrant display of stupidity.
