Alpha Legions whole point is that you don't know anything about them and you can't be sure of anything with them.

The whole point of the Alpha Legion is that ever since Alpharius died and Omegon fucked off to who-knows-where 10 000 years ago after the Heresy ended, the entire legion has practically fractured.
Basically big part of the Alpha Legion went 100% traitor and drank the Chaos Kool-Aid, other 30% stayed loyal to the Imperium and rest 20% started to do whatever they wanted after their primarchs disappeared.
But all sides are so mixed in so many schemes, trickery, plans, subterfuge, subversion and whatever other secret plots that it is a giant cluster fuck at this point and no one can really even tell which way the wind is blowing and what to do. It's literally the case of "Who is subverting who now exactly?"

Which has just made Alpha Legion as a whole into paranoid fucks who can't trust anyone, not even themselves, while all of their warbands are also self replicating splinter cells that do whatever they want and act like an virulent malign cancer that infects everything.

Anyone that'd even have a semblance of understanding as to what the over all goal and plan is for the legion, would be Omegon himself, but where he is, or if he even is alive anymore at this point is completely unknown.

I painted this paragon for my best friend's sisters. Bought the kit for tech priests bits, then we both assembled one of the remaining warsuits and he's painting the other one.

I kinda fucked up and went on autopilot, so it didn't really end up being argent shroud like I'd intended, but I tried to make it complementary. I want to base it properly but he hasn't done the bases on his other models yet so I didn't have a scheme to go with.

What's the way to go for 5-man Plague Marine squads? The blight launcher is a no brainer, but I don't know if it's better to go for plasmas or max melee weapons and spewer. I like having them plink and put stuff in contagion because things in contagion tend to die and I want them to stand back chilling in my home obj, but being decked for melee with a spewer also means anybody who wants to flip the objective needs to be able to tank one of the best flamethrowers in the game.

Are ogryns any good in current edition?
What I know I specifically would want is gun luggers, like a heavy weapon team but instead of a team it's just an ogryn carrying an autocannon or heavy bolter. Maybe a plasma cannon since the guard's options for the more out there guns like multi-meltas and plasma cannons was kind of lacking

Been testing some of the methods of using airbrush, and brush to see if I should base coat these with different mixes.

Getting the ratio to water/flow improver/paint is my current battle. Letting an over-flow improver mix dry right now so I can finish the coat on it.

But since 10k years after the heresy, they recruit from who knows where, and also the tradition of surgically altering themselves to look like Alpharius is not as strongly followed by all of them any longer (the book has a nice dialogue about it), its totally normal that they do not all look like Alpharius did in 30k.

I bought all I want for 40k and its a project im not going to rush.I may expand spider tyranids with some etsy 3d prints if I feel like it. I might expand the mkII chaos dudes with one or two boxes. But I'm pretty much done. I bought stuff that won't get "legacy-dropped" and I would just need updates for. I learned from my return from 4th edition to 8th edition and dropping 40k after seeing what they did.

Can someone post some examples of good slapchop? I got into kill team and picked up a bunch of different teams from different factions in the hopes of doing each team in a different style. Tried slapchop ping blooded and I kinda hate it, not a fan of the washed out looks and that's how all of mine turned out. It is a really fast way to get fully painted models on the table though.

Vehicles should have better armour (2+ standard), much higher toughness compared to monsters and NEARLY NO Invuln saves + fewer wounds

I'm honestly just thinking of parking a unit on objectives as they footslog there. The jetbikes will grab further objectives. The telemon will be fire magnet while the footsloggers get into position. The sagitarum will backline and shoot.
The allarus will teleport on the enemy's backline and maybe use Unleash the Lions to charge different units, just to tie them down.
To be honest, I just want to see if my current Custodes minis can work as an army.
