More Venators it is. I really quite like the look of that Macrotek apex, but I can never bring myself to bring more than three Krios/Krios Venators in a list with it because having such asymmetrical stats on my otherwise identical tanks annoys me.
Shame the Macrocarid is rendered almost completely pointless by being macrotek-locked, it would suit that detachment quite well. I guess I could fill it with Scyllax and a minder Magos, but having none of Cybernetica scoring, Malagra/Myrmidax combat or Macrotek buffs because you can't use their thing inside a transport means that is one of the most wasted Magi possible.
I'm still not sure if you're not meant to be able to put Mech units of different Arcana in transports, since the corebook specifies that "Mechanicum" is a faction and then the book doesn't really clarify this despite acting like each Arcana is its own one. FAQ when.

It's completely unit dependent. If the unit is basically just some variety of dude with normal weapon option (sunkillers, tyrants, , grey slayers) I paint them in AL colors. If they're something mechanical like a dreadnought variant I paint them in the colors of my allied mechanicum force (because logically the AL would probably turn that tech over to study and maintain). Finally if the unit is more esoteric and specialized (usually melee units like deathshroud or knights Cenobium) I would paint them black and silver to represent omegons side of the legion (who I assume are the guys trusted with actually infiltrating the more challenging positions) or I would keep them in their legion colors if they don't clash with teal.

I paint them in their original legion colours. Partly to break up the monotony of painting AL, partly because I like the idea of those units being deep undercover or trying to sow maximum confusion.
But mostly to mog the people at the LGS who actually play that legion with a better paint job than they can do.

Yes.
But having a whole squad outside the challenge with no opponent gives the challenged model +2 to the focus roll for every 5 models or fraction of them. So the challenger is at a big disadvantage.
Even if he wins he gets, what, 2 combat resolution points from killing a sergeant? The enemy unit gets 1 combat resolution just from outnumbering him and another one if they have a vexilla. So neither of them are going anywhere even if the challenger won, which he doesn't really have the advantage against a WS5 3A veteran with +2i desu
He's just going to get dog pilled next round
And if you don't want to wait you can just decline the challenge to begin with. It's just going to make your sergeant hit on 5s instead of 4s, and that's barely noticeable when there's a whole unit of veterans around him still at WS5

Not as far as I know. Don't we see them have to do it for the first time in the end and the death?
And if they are sanctioned where do they then go? They can't all be astropaths and we never see any in imperial institutions outside of prospero. Do they really just waste all their psykers because they have nothing better to do with them?

Product managers and designers want to leave their mark and get their bonuses. It's easier when doing "new" stuff. That's why so many of the HH2+ infantry models has details made to be as different as possible.
Ironically, when Maxime Pastourel designed the current 40k DG models he based them in FW's mk3, so now the classic design only exists in 40k

So I was going through my Collected Visions book for inspiration and day dreaming and noticed something oddβ¦.thereβs a lot of Emperorβs Children and Space Wolves. So since I was bored and this kinda annoyed me I actually counted how many of each Army was depicted. The results are thus-
Cust/SoS=30/27
DA=6
EC=57! (5 of which were titled wrong)
IW=10
WS=6
SW=40 (2nd place)
IF=6
NL=7
BA=27
IH=8
WE=39 (3rd, LOTS of chunky boys)
UM=21
DG=35
TS=34
SoH=35
SM=9
WB=33
RG=8
AL=7
Mech/DarkMech were 20/24, though I could be wrong since Mech loyalty is subtle and there were 44 for the Imperial Army types. I knew I was right. Also I didnβt know this book was tied to a card game, had never really read it and I thought the cards at the back was just marketing.
All this aside, I noticed something. Thereβs a few depictions of Marines with big gorgets, was this only ever done for Mk 7/8? Quite enjoy picrel, have no idea how to make the look though

Its easier to boolean a single cylinder all the way through. There is no reason for there to ever be an empty cylinder to put another empty cylinder inside of. If for manufacturing reasons you weren't able to have the hole go all the way through then you would boolean out holes on either side and probably boolean the edge of the boolean object so again theres no reason why there would ever be another cylindrical shape there.
For whatever reason its 100% deliberate.

I'm just choosing to ignore the cupola part because either interpretation of it is retarded. I've been in a cupola and even on an Astartes vehicle theres no way in hell you're fitting a primarch + even 1 iron circle. I imagine they could have view ports along the roof sections of the transport part of the hull but an actual cupola would be completely retarded.

atm it has a transport capacity of 14, which is Perty +2 Iron Circle with no other space (and nobody else is allowed on board anyway)
it has the same guns and options and no meaningful differences to the regular Shadowsword in the same Legacies document, including the fact it's an anti-super-heavy tank which has no business being used as a transport in the first place
so it looks like a Shadowsword and it has a big hatch on it somewhere and they get in and out of that, but the engines are smaller and more efficient for the same power output and the armour is thinner but more resistant at that thickness etc etc
what it looks like is a shit idea that should have been scrapped because nobody ever wants to bring 1500 points of LoW/Warlord detachments comprising four models in a 6000 point game
sure you could do it at 3k but that involves finding space for a Retinue slot in another Detachment when you already have one in the Warlord Detachment

it's only a unit for fluff, useless on tabletop. Shadowswords are trash transports, without 14/14/14 armor on the rear, and wasting a sniper gun on a transport is retarded. Doesn't have the capacity to be viable as a transport, it'd have to be able to fit perty+5 iron circle to validate the expense.
Perty is also in-game the primarch least in need of a transport of all primarchs. Has the best shooting for his squad (2 statuses at long range) and with a large iron circle bodyguard he's both immune to precision and enemy shooting his unit face T7-T8. Other primarch squads just get shot, treated as toughness 4-5 and precisioned to pieces 2 seconds into the game, hence other primarchs must hide in transports or lose the game on turn 1. S4 like Seekers can't even attempt to shoot the Iron Circle as after they declare the attack, you spend 1 stratagem point for T8 shieldwall reaction and the squad instantly loses its turn.
The only primarch transport that'd have been good would be Dorn's Stormhawk, but that was removed from game. An aircraft deployment for primarch has the perks of deepstriking (safe off board, flexible deployment) without the fuckity cant-charge-from-deepstrike problems.

I can't tell you what the reason is because I don't know that. I can just tell you, as someone who makes their own weapon bits, that laziness doesn't explain that because it's more effort to produce that shape than just cutting out a flat ended cylinder.
There is an exception, which is on the bolter designs where the ported part is distinctly a muzzle device (some primaris guns) in these cases its quite likely the muzzle device that has the holes cut into it is or was a different mesh from the barrel and was just slapped over the barrel mesh. That would get you something resembling pic related.
Its also possible whoever made the models was using a cylinder as a gauge to get the size of the barrel approximately correct and then added features on top of it and then left it there in the final model, this could then have been interpreted as an intended choice by other designers later.

I'm addressing what is or isn't easier to do when making a 3D model not what is or is not a good design. Making that design is harder than either connecting edge loops or using booleans which are the most basic ways to put a hole in something.

I'm not sure very many lists seriously possess the Precision capability to gun down Primarchs, even with them being treated as T5. That's a full squad of seekers blasting away for the entire game and taking no more than one or two casualties, or several squads at once if the Primarch isn't taking all their fire from turn 1. The jump-pack primarchs at least can probably navigate out of field of view of all but the most stacked sniper squads (headhunter bomb, mostly).
Pretty sure the best-value primarch transport is a Storm Eagle, especially if you have any way to make it coming in on rounds 1/2 more reliable.

NTa but does it work like that with template weapons?
Cuz if you see 1 model, and that means you can attack the unit, but then the template rules say you have to cover as many models as possible and all the covered models get hit.
So wouldn't that mean you could be shooting through a solid wall to hit as many models as possible even tho you are not even covering the only model you can actually see?
I guess this just adds another reason why ignoring LoS for wound allocations is absolutely retarded...

One single squad of seekers kills a primarch in 3 turns most often. And that's 190 points crippling a 700-900 point deathstar. They don't need vision of the primarch at all, if they see one toe of a single one of the escorts from anywhere on the board, all 10+ precision shots go onto the primarch immediately. (and zero return fire, as the 10-20 guys behind the wall will not have LoS to shoot back so you can't even justify spending a reaction point)
It doesn't even need to finish him off to instantly lose anyone with a primarch outside a transport the game. The common 2-3 wounds is minus 2-3 initiative in challenges. And turn 2 it's minus 4-5 initiative. Quickly makes the primarch have to avoid any situation it could ever earn any of its points cost back - as even if it did trade with some 200 point model later, you lose 3 victory points when they take any warlord out, while the primarch isn't earning any VP at all.
The "precision isnt so scary" is one of those retard-feelings from people who've never played the game. It's like people who think "10 meltas can kill any tank, I have a feeling"

10 Seekers does an average of 5 wounds to a Primarch in a T5 squad over 3 rounds of fire, so on average you need all four rounds without someone blasting all your squishy 1W MEQ. It's not that precision is bad, it's that you are actually going to need more than 190pts of dudes to precision down some of the toughest characters in the game, and most non-AL lists don't actually have 30 seekers.
Even a wounded Primarch is going to pancake almost anything but his opposite number in a challenge, although you are correct that that doesn't accomplish much if you're not getting objectives or Slay The Warlord out of it.

What is your goal for statusmaxxing? Judging by the list you posted previously, it's not for the melee debuff. So it's just for the scoring prevention. So consider how many scoring units is your opponent likely to have on points at the same time, and how many status applicators you need to reliably status all of them. If your regular opponent slams 100 tacticals down on the table, you want more. If he plays a super elite terminator list, you want less. There is no universal answer

well the primary weakness of my list is weak scoring units (3x 10 tacs in rhinos) and I also have a lack of vanguard
so the next best thing is to score what I can while preventing my opponent from scoring, either via status effect or just killing him
and speaking of terminators, I patched a hole in my list somewhat by swapping out the predators upgrades for just plasma turrets, should get the job done

20 seekers firing for two turns should do for a 6W primarch in a T5 unit. 30 will make good and sure. The only major downside to that is that Seekers are squishy little bastards who have to get reasonably close, and are as such quite vulnerable to being ran over or blasted by vehicles they basically can't harm.

I'm gonna be honest, 3 tac squads is more than enough against lists that aren't statusmaxxing or bringing 12 phospex rapiers. Remember all untis can score, Line just gives you more points. And have some countermeasure for the units you can't status. If your opponent drives a LR with 5 cataphractii termies up the middle of the board, what's your answer? what if they bring two of those?

They should have a chance to fuck it harder if it's from a different army list. Like a Techmarine should understand anything that's in the main list, but if it's something from one of the Legion annexes or the Solar Aux or Talons, rolling a 1 should hurt it worse and not fix anything.

The Karacnos is great, all its guns are Defensive Weapons so it can fire status templates at three different units, or drop Pinning (3) and likely -1T on a squad while eating up a different squad of marines or terminators with the double lightning locks.

there's no way an Ultras Techmarine trained on Mars let alone one trained on some bumfuck starship in guerilla fleet knows how to repair an Ares or a Kharon or some obscure Dark Age shit in a Militia force that's generally equivalent to a Leman Russ but actually works on Xenos principles, let alone whatever the fuck started crawling out of Dark Mech forges once the shooting started or some semi-sapient IH Land Raider that eats corpses and says "yum yum, I feel better now" because of its illegal after-market mods

And remember most STCs need to be "adapted"(made shittier) by replacing some parts they can'tmake with parts they do. There are some excepdions of course, all ghe Talons stuff that'sexplixitly made on Terra outside of Mech's influence.
>Armatus Necrotechnika
It doesn't eat corpses, it eats souls and turns them into energy to power the preexiatinf repair mechanisms every LR has. Sure an UM won'tknow what the spooky black box hooked up to the engine does, but he does know how to replace track links, weld a hole on the side of the tank, etc

as last edition, she wants to be close to the front lines but will mince light infantry and gets away easily; not shooting lowers the number of Reactions that can be made to clear her off, and she's largely active in the other player's turn; she's not expensive or generally dangerous enough to send the bigger boys after
shooting at her - even with BS5, even with S6 - is only going to do a wound 1/4 at best
if you fill your Clade with Vanus and they're all in range to make Signum Shunt (for FREE) on the same unit when it arrives from Reserves, you have a 77% chance of knocking 2HP off it by simply picking the same Status for it three times - all you have to do is pass an INT10 test three times

For the militia stuff, then presumably the militia engineers DO know how to fix them, and if they know they're going to be deploying as allies they'd teach the techmarines. They're superhuman, they can pick it up quickly. I concede the point about the Talons stuff, but lets be honest custodes armies are already hard to justify in lore as-ia.
>forbidden spooky magic
Again, it's only a powersource. The axtual repair systems and machine spirit controlling them are the same as any other LR. Unless the techmarine is also a Psyker or Blank he should barely notice the difference. Just "oh, looks like rhe self repair machine isn't running out of battery as fast as it usually does".
And finally, you have to comsider how it wouls translate to game terms. Are you going to make a "lost technology" rule and slap it onto those vehicles to avois them being fixed? Good for a one off special exception, but a pain in the ass that adds unnecessary bookkeeping and balancing considerations when implemented widely

It feels reliable enough, maybe because crits also mean you don't need to do a wound roll any more.
Seekers can struggle a bit with wound rolls now that the breaching 4+ mode no longer has str 5 and terminators got buffed to toughness 5, from my experience at least. But gotta admit, my dice rolls have been garbage.
Headhunters only advantage over seekers is having precision 4+ combi-weapons through the legacy rules. Still use the combi-melta headhunters I have to cripple terminator squads or tanks.

Exodus has a cool model but he's not particularly good in game.
He's worse than buying the same points of Seekers in the exact same slot. They're both significantly tankier than him while also doing more damage versus every single target. And much more reliably since you're looking at a pile of separate attacks rather than a single unreliable dice. And Exodus damage is complete ass unless the opponent chooses to allow him to stand still instead of simply ending movements out of sight of Exodus. He's 1 shot dmg1 unless stationary for dmg2 and he's only 4+ to crit, so his 2s and 3s are shitty dmg1 non-crits. If you rely on rapid shot when moving, that's just 3 shitty AP3 shots with no breaching vs the seeker squad getting breaching4+ for AP2, and rapid exodus is 24" range vs 30" range of the tankier and higher damage Seeker squad. Smokescreen, which Exodus needs to not be 10x squishier than a Seeker 10man, also is eating 1 valuable reaction point every turn, he's an active reaction drain. He's not in any way good anti-tank as his strength and damage are a joke to tanks because Critical Hit doesn't work against Vehicles, so that's not an upside vs taking a Seeker squad. If you're lucky Exodus gets 4 shitty shots per game, he's not wasting a S7 dmg1 shot on a vehicle for 165 points. Essentially the only gimmick he has over the Seekers is that his 4 attempted gamble shots have Pinning(1) to rarely immobilize targets - but that's only really relevant when trying to stop melee units, who will be impossible to shoot until they've jumped out of a transport onto the cap (at which point immobilizing them is a small benefit)
If the game lasted 6-7 turns, Exodus hiding 72" away in the corner and outlasting the Seeker squads would give him some potential edge, but not in a 4 turn game. Put 72" in a corner opponent can easily use drive behind terrain to make his four chances to take 1 single shot be shitty targets every game (and do fuckall if he takes a step to move)

* and to the scenario of targeting AP3 enemies 24" away, exodus is only precisioning a pathetic 1.5 of his 3 shots vs 10 precision hits from seekers, with every wounding shot (5 of the 10) at AP2 and killing 5 space marine specialists of seeker's choice, while Exodus either pops 1 / 2 and be within getting-killed-by-bolters 24" range rather than 30" (which can be a deal when opponent's squad is on the objective 30" away and must make a tough choice)

I think signum shunt is a good way to patch a deep strike hole in your list because it doesnt force a check, it flat out inflicts it
so say a unit of terminators or somehow some primarch comes in via deep strike, you can immediately shut them down from moving next turn unless they pass a check to remove it

You need Master Sarge for your techpriest to challenge at all, but on the upside the Myrmidax gambit goes off before either model makes attacks, so if it's all your damage output you barely care about losing Focus, just blam them with a meltagun before they swing every round.

You will never be a real game designer macca. You have no talent, you have no IP, you have no panache. You are a fat man twisted by bitterness and nostalgia into a crude mockery of Alan Bligh.
All the βvalidationβ you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your discord members are disgusted and ashamed of you, your βfriendsβ laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed doors.
Hobbyists are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even your legion rules who βpassβ look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bias is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy to try your homebrew, heβll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a look at your WS chart.
You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself itβs going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually itβll be too much to bear - youβll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your discord members will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. Theyβll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a no games faggot is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably gay.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

I'll have to embed a chump priest into my Myrm unit rather than a Magos if I want to cybertheurgy them, a single grav gun or challenge melta in the plasma secutor team is genuinely pretty efficient even if I still wish Myrmidax could take Myrmidon guns to keep the squad symmetrical.

If I'm running them, I'm pretty sure Domitars have an absolute blast fighting what I assume are Ruinstorm Brutes. Cybertheurgy for 8 BS5 S6 AP4 D2 shots per bot between shooting and Volley, then a reasonable performance in melee. I am really looking forward to getting some games in with my Domitar trio this edition, they're vulnerable to neutron lasers/lascannons but for once they have an actual job they're good at.

Everything on it blows ass except the laser shotguns. Which are obscene. And they look awesome. Subweapons are a roll between what you need to plug at point blank range, panic, AP3, or Stun (Ive found stun to be the most situationally reliable, but havoc launchers are abundant, AP3 is probably the scariest if some leftover vets try and tie it down)
You basically just act as a midfield bully/buffer zone. You plink away and break up masses of MEQ/Vets, so your opponent has to be cagey in the midfield or start devoting concentrated laser destroyer/Demolisher shots. The obligatory deathball cant get close without being stunned and slapped by the AP2 mode at close range, so people play super cagey around them and try and zone them.
Its big, so if you arent careful with LOS and a Laser battery or Vindicator gets its number and you flunk invulns youre cooked, but people seem really hesitant to just point and shoot a bunch at it. Usually because its lodged in something and a Melta Kratos is crawling up their ass.

Outside Thralls they're really not that bad, Secutors are Ld9 and Thallax/Ursarax are 8 with their sarges, so they come in about the same as Marines, maybe a little better. Their actual problem is that they can't reliably embed nuncio-voxes in Ursa/Thallax squads because none of their Ld8-10 magi can keep up, and squads without Magi can't get them at all, so they tend to spend annoying amounts of time routing once they get phosphexed.
They also hate the Saturnine Dread in general, since their heavy AT is pretty sparse outside the Krios Venator and it only wounds the Sat on 4s. Still trying to figure out what to actually do about that, since photon weapons ate the las tag this edition for some reason.

Dantioch may or may not be a canceled model, and they JUST released a Sallie for 40k. It wouldn't surprise me if both of those were originally meant to come out with 3.0. Remember 3.0 release was completely fucked and rushed, and we're not sure why yet.

They have a bunch of old Legacy character for Iron Warriors and Salamanders that they could create models for and they could also add the 1st Captains for each legion, both of who are named and feature in the Heresy series.
They could also, you know, not be lazy fags and actually create new characters or develop background characters for the legions.

they've said across the last edition and this one that the game is moving away from resin
the plastic characters were fine just put a helmet on him if you're frightened of beards but they're more expensive to produce and need higher volumes of sales to justify the mold price over a resin equivalent, and other plastics have to move off the store to make way for them too

Legacies is supposed to be for stuff they don't sell anymore or have never sold. They removed all the wargear options because no mini no rules but then they sell stuff with no official rules, and then the libers have stuff like outriders that seem to have been out of stock since the plastic kit they were based off was squatted at the beginning of 2.0, so they might as well not sell them anymore.
I can't expect GW to not be retarded, but it'd be nice if their retardation was at least consistent...

there IH Clan Ayreas from the martian civil war who did stuff with the Dark Mech later on.
The true sons of Zeon seen here, the armoured company captured at Isst V. About half of the Terrans that wandered back from the Ghoul stars and had a beer with Horus that you used to read about in the RG codex blurbs.
There are Traitor Sallies from Isst V, as well as some random company Nick Kyme created that attacks Nocturne.
Traitor White Scars that were punching BA &UM in the face with SoH allies One detachment was featured in Garro:sword of truth attacking Isst loyalist survivors..
Scattered BA who gave in to the Thirst.
UM who said fuck everybody and a Chaplin who was turned on Calth...but I think that guy was killed off.
Traitor SW exist and are mentioned killing civvies and Russ' death howl from 2.0 rules
As far as Named characters of importance you don't have any because the BL hates traitors.
In the Blackshield section of the Black Book's, I think, there was mention that a bunch of IH and WS companies were stricken from records for going traitor.

Anons, is the acuitor the most busted duelist in the game?
For the low cost of 190 points (base 115 + cyber familiar, rad furnace, programming interrupt and a thunderhammer) and a prime slot you get a base ws7 6a monster, but in a challenge is where it gets insane:
Use programming interrupt to get to ws8. Use the gambit (testing at effectively i11 because of the cyber familiar) to buff ws, attacks, initiative and strength by 2.
You now have 8 WS10 attacks at S10 ap2 d2 at i4 (and the enemy toughness is debuffed by 1 via rad furnace). You should be wounding everything in the game on 2s, and ws5 is hitting you on 6s now.
You will probably dumpster anything that's not a primarch in a challenge. Primarchs are hitting you on 5s (but will still probably win because you're incredibly fragile)
Am I misunderstanding the rules? Is the acuitor actually that absolutely broken? If so I foresee a very mad Sigismund player in my future.

Overcharge Reactors is still perfectly good for this since it's much cheaper and gets you down to 170-175 fully loaded - get Paragon of Battle and boost to WS8 before the charge and you will murder people with 6 S9 finishing blow attacks even without the Malagra gambit, and the gambit gives you a really dangerous option for use when the enemy has a wound count that FBlow wouldn't help with or if they have it instead. You don't actually need the rad-furnace, it very rarely matters and if you need it for the escorts then Scyllax will handle it.
I was very bored on a lunch break and rolled out a best of 3 of Paragon/Thammer/Cyberfamiliar/OR arcuitor vs Siggy, randomising who got the charge. It was sufficiently close that I took it all the way out to best of 19 before I stopped bothering, ended at Arcuitor 10, Siggy 9. Anyone weaker than Siggy (or Abbadon, who is actually stronger here) gets rinsed, and the Arc did actually manage to beat up Lorgar one out of the four times I tried it. Not exactly reliable, but sometimes the primarch genuinely does just fail to crit you to death and you get to chunk them for 3 wounds a round.
Like most Mech melee units they're very points-efficient but limited by delivery systems - if the Macrocarid wasn't bricked by [Macrotek] I think 11 Scyllax and an Arcuitor would be an amazing mini-deathstar to put in it for 445pts.

But what the fuck happens if your jump pack guy gets into actual combat, but the cara squad can't even get into coherency. If they're not in coherency are they even a unit at that point? Do they get to pile in? What if pile in stops them from getting into coherency as well?

I checked there as well, nothing about pile in says you have to be in unit coherency (and again, nor could it, even in old rules you could have a big unit spread across get butchered and survive with 2 models left on opposite sides of the combat). So jump pack sets up ahead 4", they either make it into combat or hopefully survive volley fire, cataphractii set up 1", get a charge move if they didn't make it into combat with setup, then get a 3' pile in to make it into combat if anyone's lagging behind

A big unit losing coherency due to casualties isn't the same thing as an IC not being in coherency due to casualties, since it has to be in coherency to be counted as part of the unit.
I just can't recall if they instantly get thrown out of the unit (pretty sure there is/was an exception for being in combat), or if it's at the end of your movement phase specifically where it gets kicked out.
I ask because it's possible that even after a charge move, the cata squad could be both out of combat range, AND out of coherency with the jump character (i.e. jump guy is at the front, plus longer setup, plus just scrapping into melee on the charge, and possibly catas getting killed by volleyfire).

it says the opposite of what you're claiming in the image you've posted, anon
you MUST end your Set-up Move in Coherency if it is possible - that doesn't mean you can move one model with a bigger move further than the other models if it would take that model out of Coherency, it means if midway through the Set-up something has happened, like a bullshit explosion that kills a bitch, and you physically CAN'T get into Coherency again, those models left behind don't have to worry as long as they move in the way that brings them closest to their friends (they'll probably get a chance to get into Coherency during the Charge anyway)
MUST is an instruction, MAY is a suggestion
