Driven to fits over a memory she could vividly recall in all senses and analyse thoroughly yet fail to understand, she decided to raise a Childe in the hopes they would be able to understand this vision of Golconda. Hence my untimely death and undeath.

Being a no name fodder C tier aptitude with no protections or cheats is extremely dangerous. You can get absolutely fucked up without even being able to do anything about it. Even if you have meta knowledge, it basically can't help you at the early stages. Resources are everything in the Gu world, and you have none. The Manipulator is the only one that seems work taking. 100 pound limit is jack shit, but turning it into MPH is great. A 1 pound projectile moving at 99 MPH is not bad, and a 10 pound projectile moving at 90 MPH is even better. The secondary ability is also incredible and completely negates The Anarchist if the other Morph suits exist and are given to other people.

Wrecking Ball is cool and all but 60 MPH is really slow for a max speed. Not needing air and immunity to pressure is neat and the real benefit is complete physical protection while flying, but unless it grants you like infinite inertia to crush the opposing item I don't know how it's actually going to destroy the other item and not just maybe bounce you off and leave a dent. Maybe if you were cannonballing into a small car sure but still pretty eh.

Clan Cappadocius/Giovanni experimented with the idea, but it never caught on. In my opinion, there are two reasons why:

1. The fastest way for a Cainite (WoD vampire) to get power is to cannibalize their elders. Conversely, the really old ones need stronger blood than humans can provide, and have been known to cannibalize the youngsters. So putting some space between you and other vampires make sense.

2. Camarilla (and most non-Sabbat) vampires maintain their sanity by playing at being human. Nerdy vampires like the Cappadocians/Giovanni can move their human interests underground (who wants to play D&D for the next century?), but most need a more "conventional" lifestyle. Living in a vast underground human farm would have... "unpleasant" psychological consequences for the vast majority.

So it's a mix of hating their neighbors and needing to touch grass once in a while.

If you go for very simplistic options (1 kg of lead vs 1 kg of gold), then they wouldn't be balanced. But you can fiddle with the options till they match, that's what authoring is all about.
A classic choice: you're stuck in a dangerous scenario with either a sword or a gun. To balance them, the gun gets only a small amount of ammo. Keep fiddling with the amount of ammo until the sword and gun feel balanced to you.
Or perhaps you pick between factions you join, and one is clearly stronger. Then, in the jobber faction you can expect to rise to the top quickly for lack of competition, while in the stronger faction you'd be ordered around.

I think interactives have the most untapped potential, but as others have said the majority are shit from a butt. They’re most interesting to me when they have hidden paths or points and a more structured plot to play through, but very few take advantage of the benefits that the format offers. I think that Witch Awakening doesn't have a setting. Neither did the original, but it didn't pretend otherwise. Or did it? The setting was your life. Your normal existence that you've chosen to continue with the addition of magic. It conserved setting by using most of the assumptions of Your normal life, Witch Awakening annihilates both at once and fails to replace them. Is it valid to announce that something isn't the elementary unit of a story that it obviously attempts at? There is a setting of some kind, as evidenced by Prison of Mind, Colors of Magic and Costume Party happening nearby.
There isn't a location section, but the factions themselves show how different the world is from Normal Earth. Things like O.R.C or the Hephastus whatever helps giving relief to the witchdom. There is also the Reddit pipeline. You get introduced to CYOA on Reddit (perhaps a big release like Entropist) and soon enough you're checking the source, trying to fit in. So we get newbloods.
There is also an overlap between writing prompts and CYOAs on some sites like Pinterest. Another way to find this place.

I know you're not supposed to combine cyoas, even if they're meta, but I just wanted a maximized comfy build. This way I can chill with my schizo waifu while passively getting stronger using the trinket combination. I was considering Eerie Beacon in place of Line but that would require me actually fighting monster early game, so I could accumulate abstract matter. Which sounds like a pain. I rather just use Line to improve all my stats and similar stuff, and I think you can use Line on other shit too, including trinkets.

Alien Compound is probably the chillest place to spam in. They seem to be the most moral faction and would probably be willing to cooperate, since I could most likely fix their AI or even spawn a new one if absolutely necessary. They also probably have things like games and other types entertainment. That being said I won't interact with them until I'm strong enough to be confident. Godking level would be acceptable.

Once I'm strong enough, I intend to use the paint I got from escaping the void dimension to go back and get the other trinkets. Leaving Eerie Beacon behind would be a waste and Violet Window is also extremely useful for an Exotic Painter. I will leave the Brass Gate behind though, I wouldn't want to be bothered so I won't bother my alternate selves.
