What Cards Are in Powered Cube?
So, what are the new cards coming to MTG Arena? Most of these cards are new-to-MTG Arena, while a few of them are new art reprints from classic sets not yet on MTG Arena.

We are not ready to reveal the entire list yet, but here are some hints for players to ponder in the meantime:

A card with audio performed by a nonhuman actor
A card which, when printed, was the sixth card in a five-card cycle
A card that is not from Limited Edition (Alpha) whose name appears, in full, in the card text of at least 800 other cards, none of which were printed before it
A card whose name spelled backward is a different Magic card
At least four cards that were at one point restricted in formats other than Vintage
A card with two or more words in its name, each of which has appeared in the type line of a card other than this card
A card that has never been available on any digital Magic platform

How does quickdraft work? If you enter with gems, you pay 750 and have to win 6 to refund? Or are the rewards cumulative.

They aren't cumulative. Yes, you aren't going to break even paying with gems unless you do very well. (You do get to keep what you draft though)

Generally you should be saving your gems and instead use your gold to do drafts or other events, which are the simplest non-paypig ways to get gems. When you have enough gems and lots of mastery XP for whatever set pass is currently up, you spend your gems on the deluxe pass for a windfall of rewards.

It's very difficult to go truly infinite in draft by gaining enough gems to pay for the next draft. But it's pretty good at getting stuff at a good rate, if you consider the gem rewards as a sort of discount for buying whatever packs you won and cards you drafted.

If you can regularly do well enough to afford the mastery pass, it's worth spending gems too. Quick draft is the best option to practice drafting, it's not perfect but it's relatively low investment. If/When you get good, you can move onto premium or trad draft and you'll never need to worry about gems again.

Draft is hard. If you really enjoy it save up as much gold and gems as you can and draft the same set until you run out. You should have a good idea of how to draft after that.

If you dont have a bunch if resources now it will be hard to get good at draft you will run out of drafts before you git gud.

Thoughts on this? I've played like 6-7 matches with this deck. Seems like it could use some better 2 and 3 drops but I have no idea what's better than Trespasser, Fleshgorger maybe? Preacher of the Schism? Shredder is kinda cool, I guess. It triggers very rarely albeithough. Sideboard is also a disaster.

It's a deck from an MTGO challange, anon, it's not mine. There are a couple of players trying to make Dimir Midrange/Scam work. It's actually pretty powerful, the nut draw beats Rakdos nut draw nine times out of ten. Shredder, at least to my understanding, isn't there to force spellslinging, rather it acts like the best 2 mana midrange creature since you have no FOMOs or Bloodtithes. The problem with the deck is that it's very incosistent and it's probably due to shredders. There has to be a better 2 drop and better 3 drops than Lilis and Trespesser.

Because it's uncertain of your deck's rank, so it matched you against a higher tier of deck to see what you think of it. This also occasionally happens when it matches you against a lower tier of deck because you've been shitting the bed too much.

I haven't played paper magic in like 7 years and my card collection is long since lost between various moves. I don't really have any interest in playing Standard/Modern/Pauper in person when MTGO and Arena exist but I did occasionally play EDH when I was in college.
I see that pic related is only $35 on amazon which is like half the cost of a box of five space marines, if I want a preconstructed commander deck to fuck around with in-person is this one worth getting? I'll probably leave it as is or jam in a few pet favorite waifu cards at most like thalia/venat/karona.
Is there some reason I should avoid getting this one or is it just cheap because zoomers haven't played final fantasy 6? From a cursory glance at the decklist it looks decent, it even has stuff like Reanimate which is like ten bucks on its own
I don't think I'd pay $70 for it and I heard some of the decks were being scalped for like $100 which is retarded, but $35 for a precon with the basics like mana rocks and lands seems like a good deal. Pretty sure I'd pay more in shipping just buying a lot of this shit from TCGplayer

is there a reason nobody plays lightpaws in pioneer? like yeah the deck is missing kor spiritdancer which sucks but I can win with lightpaws auras even in Historic without ever drawing a copy of kor spiritdancer just off the back off Lightpaws, Sram, and Skyward Spider. Yeah, my favourite deck to play during Mono-G devotion's reign was Boros heroic. The deck's not playable anymore due to pushes being so prevalent. I think stuff like selesnya company suffered the same fate. All the shit you're saying applies 10x to Historic which is a more powerful format than Pioneer and you can still win with it. I'm not saying "This deck is unbeatable", but saying "oh dude thoughtseize exists!" is just totally irrelevant when thoughtseize is also in historic. So yes it looks like the real answer is "the pioneer meta is stale with lack of tournaments to netdeck"

oh right sheoldreds is nontoken. mine is based on an old Modern version of the deck that features gingerbrute and optimistic scavenger as 1 drops which also provides edict protection. Unconditional board wipes are far more problematic but people are often greedy and refuse to run them, and if you're going first you can often kill them turn 3 or 4 before they use them anyways

Like the other anon said interaction is much less common in Historic which is why it's easier to get away with bogles. I run spot removal and counterspells in my Historic deck and haven't lost to auras a single time
If you want to play auras in Pio be my guest, I actually think its an underrated deck, it just doesn't put up results

I play the same deck in historic and Lurrus is really nice if you haven't won and are out of cards past like turn 5 but if that's happened you're already at decent odds to lose and Lurrus is more there to provide a chance to recover. Spending 6 mana total across two turns to play Lurrus only to then start getting shit back from your graveyard is a hail mary play vs spending that mana playing four to six other cards and just killing your opponent

Seeing your end screenshot I can only guess that the eldrazi player severely misplayed. He probably needed to cast invasion for x=0 and then get lost your narset. The Cavern protects against the consign and counter spell in hand, getting rid of your consult is nice but probably not that nice. And there's realistically no way to get rid of supreme verdict without tanking his own emrakul.
