Premodern bros. Will this work?

I wanted something in the line of Miracle grow for premodern. But with no tropical islands you can't get the best use out of land grant so I have to run more lands. Since I don't want to run any diamonds, I decided to put some spirit guides to help ramp out dryads and winter orbs. And then putting Reef Shamans (hence the deck name: Reefer Farm) in I can turn one of my lands into a forest if I need a free cast submerge while having a way to fuck with my opponent's mana or turn off manlands on their upkeep, or get island walk off when I have lord in play.

Yeah, it's not something that needs exhaustive explanation. Spirits in Avatar basically function like fey. They're alien in their logic and have some serious magical powers, but as long as you're polite and follow some arbitrary rules, they're limited in what they can do.

Legend of Korra is evidence of how easy that was to ruin by giving spirits too much exposure, where they just ended up as generic shadow monsters or furries.

I manage to Dress the fist two Titans and draw some air, he Bosejus my Dress and i sandbag the third Dress to remove Haste from the hasted third Titan at the cost of allowing one ETB trigger and taking 6 damage. I Phlage+Phlage Escape the nontoken Titan and leave up a blocker, hoping to draw a Nully-D to hit a Return+Return trigger and boardwipe but that never materializes and i die to an Analyst loop.
G2 i have the nuts. I play Steam Vents untapped and pass, threatening a Consign (which I have). He plays an Amulet into it off an Urza's Saga which resolves. I play Land-Go for my t2. He plays another Amulet, which also resolves. I play Land-Go again. he untaps, i allow the Saga on 3 to fetch which produces another Amulet. He plays a Gruul Turf and i fetch in response to the Amulet triggers, then Consign Replicate 2 all the untap triggers away. he picks his land up and passes.
I untap, Meltdown x=1 and clear his board, play a land and pass. he plays another land and passes. i flash Doorkeeper on his end step. i untap, draw, and exert Arena for a Phlage which he scoops to.
We start G3 on turns, he plays an Amulet, i PEnding the Amulet and we ID because we were both 0-2 anyhow lmao.

Ultimate Guard Katana - Seem a little short (91 mm) for double sleeving. Should I get only the Ultimate Guard Inners if I were to use these? Also, I've seen videos where Katana decks were a lot thicker than DS decks but that may just be because of trapped air; do these sleeves compress over time?

Ultra Pro Apex - newer product from Ultra Pro. Supposedly the comparable to Katanas for durability and shuffle. QC issues though with the possiblity of getting unevenly cut sets of 50 in the same package. Also shorter like Katana for double sleeving


Currently leaning towards DS Sealables just because of the extra protection but no preference yet on the sleeves.

of the 5 boxes of these i've had, only one had splitting issues beyond what i would consider normal for frequent play. i haven't seen KMC Hyper Matte in 8 years or so, but my Legacy deck is still in the original sleeves i bought 10 years ago and my Pioneer (rip lol) deck is in a set nearly as old.
I use whatever sideloader inner sleeves (KMC Perfects i think). they're easier to purge air from and still protect from grubby fingers. i'm not worried about the slight loss in protection from liquid spills they may or may not have versus traditional inner sleeves or sealables.

Wizards believes that players are solving the formats too fast and this has a detrimental effect on enjoyment. This is why they cut tournament results from MTGO I don't remember the story well enough to describe it but it happened.

pretty bad, ngl. Mana is bad, and Apocalypse forces you to commit to a color pairing you won't have access to in your first two packs. Even worse, the only good enemy color pairings are UG - except Green is a dog in Invasion and Planeshift - and UR - which is so fucking good people will be trying to force it in the first two packs. Flametongue Kavu is insanely good in the format, although uncommon. Invasion has a lot of common 2/2 fliers for 4, which ruins your curve.
Gold cards are so much better than anything else, but again, the mana is fucking terrible. Aggro is non-existant, so 18 lands and always taking the draw is honestly a pretty good strategy.
