Clown elves should have just been an entry in the eldar codex. Having all these small factions be able to be standalone is a mistake. Imperium should just be Space Marines and Guard, Chaos should just be Chaos, and Xenos should be Eldar, Necrons, Orks, and Tyranids. Everything else should just go under one of the other categories or be mercenaries.

Woo, I got all my Eldar primed and they fit precisely on my to-paint shelf! Except the heads I'm doing separately, which are in a little tupperware to make sure they don't get lost.

A number of reasons really. It would open up a lot of possibilities and by limiting how many you can bring you can make them all pretty powerful. It also allows them to focus on the other armies more if they dont need to support those random merc and ally armies as much. Those are just two off the top of my head.

If you painted picrelated the same way as your Obliterator image with highly contrasting flesh tones & dark panels it also wouldn't look good.
So yes, I do think its a paint scheme thing, just do dark deep maroons for obliterator meaty bits and black for armor plates and make them flow into each other more smoothly, like on the backpack or the knee or the arm-cannon of this daemon prince. Would be a much better look that would basically solve the whole diaper issue.

Can I get a quick overview on the kits for 30k/40k CSM tanks? I'm planning to get a vindicator, a predator and a rhino, and I am wondering if I should go with the HH or the regular 40k kits.
