Yes, but is it in a runaway manner? It could be a negligible increase in pure RE, and more of a matter of the metaphysical structure and "insight" locked in the material. If your material gets 10% more RE per stage it isn't really a problem even if it can go up indefinitely. This still assumes that the amount of RE in things grows linearly.

At worst, it should match the time frame of the given stage in general. If it's expected for you to cultivate for five hundred years in a particular stage and the common resources take two hundred years to grow in that stage, then the tree should take a proportional time to that to copy them. If it took 1% of the normal time to grow a stage 1 material, then it should take 1% of the time to grow a higher stage material.

This also assumes that the reason the tree is slowing down is just an innate slowdown. If the slowdown is for external reasons, such as a need for energy, then that's superficially worse but actually better, since you can just move to a place where there's more energy and/or supplement the energy through stones.

My relationship with my Sire would be night and day compared to now, I would have two less sorcery ranks, and I would not have the Major Boons toward two very powerful beings and consequentially not have what they would have done for me—such great benefits, how can they be gained without risk? Fighting my way through the Dima base will be a challenge but its not something that i and most importantly my guardian cannot not handle, especially once we reach Ajax it will all be more easy, the first thing i will do once outside is sell the ingredient looted from the corpses of the undead to the grand bazaar to at the least have some higher grade spirit stones and reach the closest settlement/city to find a place to stay (which I assume it will be easy since the majority of the population is dead) for a week or so until i reach at the least stage 3 once reached it i and my 3 person group will start wandering from settlement to settlement and searching for opportunities to get stronger while also trading from time to time in the bazaar (i think i will set up a stand assigning the Perfect servant to sell ‘lower’ quality products that for a reason or another might not be worth transmuting with the essence furnace), i assume this is when i will meet the other 3 and all the adventures/events will take place.

Eventually i plan to escape the low RE shithole that is earth as soon as possible but not before getting a surgery to remove the parasite from some still alive surgeon, or in a more likely scenario i could convince Marie su to perform surgery on me and reward her with a pill if it goes smoothly, with her luck i’m sure there will be no problems. (i will do this only once i will reach the middle stages of cultivation, since body refining methods help getting rid of the parasite).
Once I reach the War-torn world, me and my companions will join one side or the other, i don't really care as long as i eat. I assume each side is going to heavily invest in someone if they think they could be useful.

Mostly the theme I guess, for the most that I try I just can't get into xianxia (which should trigger my number go up autism but it doesn't). Mahou Shoujo is very familiar for a weeb.
I also liked the factions in Luminary, while the world feels kinda static in CC, it would be more interesting if there were specific sects and/or named antagonists but it's 'government', 'DIMA' and bandits.
I usually don't care for companions, but I think they're better in CC. But as my build is agnostic for their existence, they're just 'there' for me.
I have mixed feeling about powers/methods: there was more possibilities for synergy in Luminary while I think they're more limited in interaction in CC—they're more flesehed out, sure, but you can't toy with them as much I think.

Updated Venom Dragonlord build, I just changed a few perks and drawbacks around, as well as took Yasod in place of a waifu. I can get waifus later on, for now I am a roaming death machine training and doing good deeds like some kind of toxic dragon goku. I have every advantage in combat against people alongside overwhelming power, and extreme variability in poison techniques, it would take someone far above my level to bring me low, but I don't think it will be a problem on earth and by the time I leave I will be high enough that I can mostly do whatever.

It's possible to experience advantages of mortal flesh without truly overcoming your condition. For example Possession (Dominate 5) + Power Over Life (The Path of Conjuring 5) for guilt free body to possess, you can even keep access to your mental and mystical Disciplines if you are skilled enough. It's not cheap or easy, but it's not even Elder-tier bullshit (less of an issue in the cyoa)

I arrived here suddenly, my sire chancing upon & Embracing me after first abducting me after the compulsion to do so overtook them. Updated build to have a few more disciplines, couldn’t afford to increase them however. They’re all quite useful, especially Obfuscate. A little combat-oriented than might be needed, but more so for self-defense and intimidation purposes than anything. As a fledgeling low-gen, it very well might quite necessary. Abilities and attribute were chosen to complement my sires. Curses are a lot, but the core weaknesses have been lessened somewhat. The Banu Haqim bane is quite the annoyance, but not so bad compared to most, and if I’m feeding on the deserving then its not so much of a loss if an exsanguinating frenzy occurs. Outside of this: I am unable to be recorded, very tasty to other vampires and my beast is, well, beastly.

My sire also maintains an old property within the Carpathian Mountains, and the ancient library within it, which I’ve been graciously provided. Aside from the painting vampire the Chronicles aren’t of much interest, whose heartsblood I will store away instead of diablerizing, as I could eventually trade that away. I can rely on my sire for support during my early nights. I have no idea how sects work in antiquity, so I’ll just say that it means my sire is an active part of her clan.

I do find starting off with so many dots in disciplines to be a little immersion-breaking, but it's not that bad. Antiquity does make it hard to imagine how some of there build translates.

Sire is an ancient, obsessively possessive 4th Gen, a Blood God in her own right. She Embraced me after She clearly focused on mastering a wide selection of disciplines, and has the skills & attributes you’d expect a methuselah of this calibre to have. She’s a master schemer & social genius, and most likely only uses Presence sparingly, not that she needs it. Aside from that, she’s an Elysium owner, as well as probably incredibly terrifying in-person. For whatever reason she’s been suspected of diablerie she did not commit, which has made her unpopular, but I suspect my Embrace is to some degree a part of solving that issue… somehow. Or perhaps its in service of deeper machinations. The only real downside is her controlling behaviour, but that’s manageable.

They may not start in the palace, it's never directly stated even if it's the logical assumption, but what is stated is that they start in "storage treasures" so transporing them is not going to be that difficult. Strorage treasures are usually stuff like rings/necklaces or small boxes, if they are as high quality as the rest of the stuff in LL then they should hold a lot of stuff. Yes if you fully focus on combat than yes, you will be pretty much the same combat capability as other combat method. What I mostly mean that a combat focused method forces their user to do combat so they must partake in combat to progress while a broader method would allow a user to branch out. So it's mostly just comparing the average users of these methods. But in the end it matters little as RE number is the real indicator of power.

Both of those things have drawbacks already tied to them, and no reason to be mutually exclusive, in fact it makes more sense for them to go toghether. There are tons of reaosons to not pick both, theme, the point costs, limited picks, the rest of the build, realitionship with the sire.
