I prefer grand risk-reward over low risk-reward grinding. I have the capital to do it; I have mastered Auspex and many sorceries and have good relationships with many powerful beings.

If I don't take the risk of Powerplay+ and Master in the Shadows+, I'd be at Favor 7. My relationship with my Sire would be as different as night and day, I would have two less sorcery ranks, and I would not have the Major Boons of two very powerful beings and consequentially not have what they would have done for me—such great benefits, how can they be gained without risk? If one wishes to obtain them without the cyoa, one will have to take risks down the line and spend a lot of time anyway.
