I started liking admech unironically because of AoF's cute skitarii art. They were never really on my radar before.

WEaters need more infantry HQs. Not counting named characters all they've got is the Slaughterbound and the Master of Executions. And only one of those is actually unique to the army. They couldn't even get a basic bitch Chaos Lord with Mark of Khorne. They get Bloodthirsters but not Heralds of Khorne. It's incredibly fucked.

I have absolutely no expectations for the preview whatsoever, I haven't been following Warhammer much for about a year because 10th is such a bore, but I just hope to see something cool and interesting that will make me want to paint again if nothing else.

I use Fuumuui for dry brushes, the citadel shade brush for washes/shaders, i have a collection of rosemary & co, raphael kolinsky france, artis opus and cheap synthetic brushes for things like speed paints/florous and technical paints that would otherwise wreck kolinsky fur brushes.

the rosemary & co brushes are great value for money, they are good brushes that keep their body and tip for a long time. the raphael brushes are my best brushes, i wont use them for painting base layers but i always use them for layering and glazing, they have a good body that holds the right amount of paint for the size of the brush and a well formed and long tip that is ideal for edge highlighting. i think the artis opus brushes are way over priced and perform about as well as the rosemary & co range.
one thing i will say though is that regardless of what brush range you go with if they are kolinsky fur take good care of them and they will take good care of you. don't get any paint in the metal neck of the brush head, don't allow any paint to fully dry on the bristles, after 3 or 4 painting sessions give the bristles a gentle clean with B&J masters brush cleaner and preserver. just get the brush wet and softly work the cleaner into the bristles, when the soap becomes discoloured with paint you know it is working. rinse and repeat until the soap is clear white, then wipe away any excess soap and leave it amongst the bristles. if you are going to buy an expensive brush then treat it right.

I haven’t actually- I’ve been using Huckleberries list which was published in citadel journal which pretty much states: no higher up guard stuff you get the dregs! Though I have toyed with the idea of a fully mechanised contingent using guard rules as well since it’s a very customisable list.

I’ve been using mining lasers as lascannons although meltas also sound like a good equilavent too
I’d actually thought of using seismic cannons as meltas since short ranged destruction seems like a suitable match- what do you think?.

I’ve been tempted to ignore the actual gsc restrictions for fun to take one of the fancier Russ variants though purely because my Russes are magnetised and demolisher is my tankfu alongside the regular variant. Your list idea seems sound enough btw, the custom regiment rules means you can take whatever you want and gives you more conversion opportunities.
I’ve been trying to get an admechplayer to come join us with the custom regiment rules. Since you’ve been toying with the guard list more than I do you know if I can get guard special wep snipers outside of ratings?
