Maybe sort of-ish? Now it has a USB-C port that will override it, so I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to connect a talentcell to that USB port to override the auto shutdown. The only thing I question is if the voltage of that USB port is sufficient for full use. An unmodded Afterlife pack is extremely fickle about the voltage it gets and often shuts down when fully powering up the wand because it can't handle all the power draw from the rumbling wand. Perhaps this is something they also fixed, but it's Hasbro so...

This is such a lazy cashgrab 4-pack. Four figures we already got, in the decos they should have had in the first place, with accessories we already got. The only effort spent was giving them new, worse heads than the originals. They could have included an extra PKE meter with the wings down to hang from Egon's belt. They could have included a second, open trap, with capture field effect. They could have included a new ghost or Janine to increase it's appeal to people who already had the originals. I get that, but there's nothing to suggest the Plasma Series isn't dead beyond the Ecto, so it would have been nice if they could have used this set as an opportunity to give us a more complete collection. It's crazy that with everything they're released there's no open trap with capture beam effect. Mattel gave us that with their third figure. I guess it's not as big a deal if you have the Mattel stuff, but looking at this line as it's own thing, it's a pretty major display piece to not have.

Also the lack of Janine despite being such a prominent character is stupid. She's in all 4 movies, the 2009 video game, and the entirety of both animated series, and Hasbro hasn't made a single figure of her from either the movies or RGB retro line. They could've thrown her in here and sold double the sets.

The strength of Mondo's line is pretty much exclusively placed upon them actually doing the ghosts from the show. Even though the RGB figures have rarely been done, they technically DO exist out there in at least a few capacities, but fucking no one ever releases ghosts in these lines. Usually, you get lucky if any of the lines include Gozer, the terror dogs, Slimer and/or maybe Stay-Puft.

The Mondo figures are probably the first time they've done something interesting with the ghosts since probably the vintage Kenner line. No way Hasbro would ever do any of the ghosts, even if they did do the four RGBs from the cartoon.

This was my best attempt with the Diamond Select RGB Egon. Their arms also only get 90 degrees. It's why I was hoping these mondo ones would have better elbow range. I initially agreed that the Venkman’s likeness looked off, but after comparing it to shots from the movie of Murray with a serious face I think it’s actually a lot closer than we initially thought. I think the cheeks could be slightly thinner, but I definitely do see the Murray likeness.

I've never once seen anyone say such a thing, nor can I even remotely see it. Matty's sculpt was highly regarded at the time. Today it looks more cartoonish because of the simpler paint apps, but it's still instantly Bill Murray in my eyes. Every Hasbro sculpt I have to do mental gymnastics to try to find Bill. If the Matty sculpt were given face printed paint apps it would look amazing.

Saw a vid showing off Pete and while I'm disappointed there isn't more range in the elbow, the hand movement let's them do what I'd want. That being said I really do wish they had better range there. Would it still have looked good if they molded the arms to give more range at the elbow even with a single joint, and just come together better? Like how revoltech does knees. I feel like the jumpsuit could have bunched up in ways that wouldn't have ruined the sculpt and still left it with better movement. I think my main gripe is no ball joint at the waist. That wouldn't have messed with sculpt at all and would have let them bend down or backward. You can get the pose by moving the legs up or back, so maybe it's a minor thing, but still something to note.

Honestly my single biggest complaint with the mondo figures is the lack of extra hands. Every figure comes with multiple hands these days, even cheap shit like marvel legends, they should have thrown in a pair of relaxed hands at the very least. It’s such a glaring oversight I can only assume they plan to try to sell the 4 of them again in civilian duds after this and want to make them more appealing.
