I just recently finished customizing a figma Astolfo. While I'm proud of my work for now, I'm still wondering how best to further improve on this.

Flaws include:
> Lanky proportions, but don't want to lose the leg parts since the thighs are articulated.
> Upper torso's insides are full of plastic and needs a way to reduce that so the joint for the abdomen can be recessed deeper.
> Entire arm assembly from shoulder to forearm is unable to stay on and isn't that good at folding upward.

To that end, I have some questions:
1) How do I remove more of the material inside the upper torso? Do I need to buy a router or some power drill that can scoop them out?
2) How do I hollow out the arms so that I can slide arm parts inside, making them actual sleeves?

Assuming similar joint structures, I agree, the figure on the right is nicer. The figure on the left is source material accurate, that's the draw. That's it.

If you don't care about source accurate, objectively, the one on the right has a better face sculpt and better face detail (lips and nose have defined details, not unshaped generic anime face), better paint apps, better hair texture and shape, and that's just based from the neck up from one angle. The slightly offset "looking vaguely to the right" eyes also prevents the dead-eyed 1000 yard stare the left is rocking, although that does piss off a lot of photographers because she can't look directly ahead.

I still need to make some very slight changes, notably reinforcing the hip joints, shortening the chest barbell and adding a stand-socket to the back of the head (I drilled one after the fact on this one just for illustrative purposes) but I've more or less got Midna to where I want her to be. I wish she had more elbow range, but for the size and the fact this is 99.9% printed (only non-resin components are aluminium wire I used to pin the hinges) I'm really pleased with her.

I meant like why aren't any domestic (stateside) people making 3d printed bodies or add-on parts/extras for existing figures? Seems like every other toy line or category of figures has people designing and 3d printing parts. There are definitely many flesh toned resins that would work.
