But yeah that's one of the last remaining Star Wars things I want. Just need them and commander cody in TVC then I think I'll be done. Unless they make Greez or something else from the Jedi games I guess, that's all I care about.

The thing that sours these exclusives is they always do them right before or just as they're releasing a mainline version of the same figure. So most people are trained now to just wait instead. The ROTS set might be the only one to sell high volume for the first time in forever just because it's an instant display out of the box and they're all new versions. Though I really feel like they should have taken it a step further and done unique sculpting on their tunics that shows burning/lava damage and some extra deco to make it more desirable than just doing the mainline releases with a few extras.

Yeah, we really were spoiled for years with all the variety of figures and vehicles being put out for affordable prices. Nowadays Hasbro will make a big deal about how much articulation they can put on a 3 3/4" figure, or how accurate it'll look and the face printing it has blah blah blah, but what do I care about that? I just want affordable toys that are fun to mess with. That's why I've been liking the Epic line recently. They're pretty fun figures, I hope they can keep improving the line.

I feel its only going to get worse. With Gen Alpha and later Zoomers not being interested in toys but intead YT/Social Media its gonna further decline the already not stellar sales and as a result they are gonna pump up the price for adult collectors like Lego has done. So it's really hit or miss. Regardless, they let you keep the fucked up figure and still send you at least something, so it's better than nothing. Hopefully you get Deanna. YakFace added a HasLab Vehicle to the TVC list. He already confirmed it's not the Death Star (if you would count that as a vehicle). I think a strong candidate is the Havoc Marauder since that could help finish off the rest of the Bad Batch crew. Could it be tied into the 2026 theme? Supposedly they're going to announce what that will be during their SDCC panel.

>since that could help finish off the rest of the Bad Batch crew
I mean the two bad batch figures listed above are most likely Tech and Wrecker so haslab isn't needed since they're already coming to mainline.

I heard 2026 will be prequel heavy for TVC. Lots of people have been asking for a gunship so could be that. Man that would suck for me desu. About a year ago I would have been so hyped for a gunship haslab and would have placed an order as soon as it went live. But now I don't care about Star Wars that much anymore and packed away my TVC collection. Gunship however would give me a serious dilemma on what to do because I still have lingering feelings for it and the prequels. So I'd prefer an imperial shuttle or something else I am firmly uninterested in so I can easily skip and rest easy without any regret

Thing is, I fully expect Hasbro to be assholes and make those other two figures their season 2 versions instead. This way if the HasLab is the Marauder, it would force people to go in on it in order to complete their season 1 looks.

I really like the droid depot stuff. I actually wish Disney would consider opening droid depot stores outside of Disneyland. I've paid retarded prices from ebay sellers because I just don't want to spend the time and hassle of going all the way to Disneyland to build a droid. But I love the build a bear idea of it. If they offered more colors and veriety of compatable parts, I think they could build a full franchise out of just the droids. Hell, charge $200+ for the droids outside of parks, and they could keep special colors or accessories park exclusive if they want.

Bought my kid a couple of the Epic figures during Prime Day and decided to snag a Rex for myself since there isn't a TVC Phase I yet and I liked the blast effect. It's not bad at all for being like $7. The sculpt is pretty good and works well with the TVC Clones. Even the plastic kama is flexible enough that the legs aren't really hindered by it at all. Also I like that he has the accurate movie style belt instead of the animated one that the Phase II figure came with. Only funny thing is he has working holsters but since the blast effect is part of the mold on one of his blasters, you can't put it in the holster. Kinda wish it was a separate piece like Yoda's lightning effect but I can understand why they'd try to minimize a lot of small parts. It'll be a decent stand-in, especially after painting the blasters black.

If you want to keep the gunner with it then get phase one clones, specifically from the clone wars line for the animated look. Or don't use the gunner and fill it with whichever phase and legion you want. Or if you don't care about consistency then just get whatever clones you can find for cheapest

The heads turn by controls and light up with beep boops, if you get the add ons you get blaster or jet booster sounds. They have other tool/weapon accessories that just attach. The blutooth communication feature is hit and miss. Most times your droid will go into sleep mode before it can trigger, but I've not had much experience with mine walking around the park. Like the other anon mentioned most of the fun is customization and then other than that it's just a fun R/C. I use mine at little local conventions sometimes.

I just got it and it's pretty good. A LITTLE janky and dated but it actually is pretty great once you got the TVC R2 and Luke in there. It is dated, but the paint apps are great, I was low key was thinking maybe I should hold off in case of a new fully kitted x wing release. But they might do another ship like Wedge's, and it will prob cost $140 or something, and I will get it either way probs.

If you want it to display for fun it does the job if you wanna wait 1 to 4 years for a new one at $140 to $160 MAYBE a new one will come out, but like the E wing prob lack as good of paint apps and the scale should remain the same and maybe even look not that much different.

Personally I'd love for the Imperial Shuttle to be like a $250 Hasbro pulse made to order exclusive rather than a Haslab but if it's a fully new kitted larger one there's no way it's not gonna be a $500 Haslab.

I'd be okay with them scaling up the last "buck" and giving it a real interior for not a crazy made to order price.

I'd personally want a properly scaled (doesn't mean to scale but scales like biggest Falcon/Ghost) Outrider with Dash Render and robot. But I don't think that's gonna happen.

I'd be okay with them holding off on the deathstar for a year or two.

I'd love a nice outrider with interior. If only the line was still being run with the same design ethos as back in 2010 or so that would have really had a shot at some point.

I'm one of the people beating the drum for a star destroyer. I think the way to do it is simple: outer shell like a standard star destroyer, interior primarily details from Vader's star destroyer and some OC stuff. The regular ones are iconic and yet most scenes happen on Vader's Executor. Have all sorts of lights and features inside, and it would be in the size range of the ghost, the big MF and jabbas sail barge.
I taped up my floor a while back with stuff I was imagining for it. I think particularly fun would be the hologram area, we have the technology that's been used in the Tron toys and plenty of little electronic pet toys where they could actually approximate holograms with some curved screens. Or could just go easy with translucent figures and a light. Or maybe have a swap out function for both options.

Anyway, here you go pic related.

Gunship would be cool but not for a haslab. Honestly the original mold had a ton of releases and it was already based. It did everything it needed to do, had tons of features, they even eventually released proper pods for it. Yeah it was a bit out of scale but it was fantastic, and a slightly larger slightly more detailed one for a haslab just feels like a let down. They should be doing big crazy stuff, not slightly large ships that should be retail releases.

Honestly it makes sense given the ROTS release leaks for next year. And DESU it does make sense as a Haslab given how large they actually are. Don't get me wrong I'm not going to get it, which I'm fine holding off another year for maybe a Deathstar next year.

Also doing research on the secondary market for Haslabs I'm betting the Cantina will go as crazy as the Sail barge since it already sells for $2000 before anyone has it in hand. It will prob settle at $2000 to $3000 in the end like the Barge but when the fomo post hands on goes on bet it will go as high as $5000.

Also -- Long term given how the rest of the Haslabs have gone I'm guessing the following if this is a Gunship.
It will sell as well as the Ghost or better because it seems to appeal to newcomers/zoomers. In the end it will prob go for double/$1000 on the secondary depending. But can see it going high long term to $2000 and upwards.
There will be people buying like 4 if it's a Gunship I'm guessing also.

The sad truth with Star Wars is that the entire franchise can best be described as "low morale" across the board. Even the people who like the modern Disney stuff are not happy with Star Wars because it's so obvious that it's a brand that's on its way to getting mothballed.

Mandalorian and Grogu is basically going to be the final nail in the coffin. The budget-friendly Mandalorian figures that came out last year did not make the waves Hasbro was hoping and the vehicles quickly ended up on clearance, so I have no idea what they actually expect to happen when the movie comes out but it's certainly not going to be a miracle. Mandalorian is just another aspect in which Lucasfilm ran the Star Wars IP into the dirt and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, so now the best we can hope for is a few more decent releases from Vintage Collection and Black Series before the franchise goes on hiatus.

It saddens me that the cheaper toys failed because i don't like Vintage Collection vehicles-- I think they're way too big to feel like toys, and they miss the point of having smaller scale figures. They're large environments to pose figures around, and they fail to elicit the child like joy I felt when I got my POTF2 toys in the 90s. The Epic Heroes vehicles were unfortunately a far cry from the old Kenner ones but at least they were trying to be affordable and the right scale to play with. It's just a shame that Star Wars is in this state where something has to either be ultra detailed and collectable or kiddy and plastic feeling, and there's no sense of what the "real" Star Wars action figure line is anymore.

Now if they reissue the Vintage Collection snow speeder I'm gonna feel real stupid for paying $100 for mine on eBay, but if it comes with Dack and an updated Luke I could see myself picking up a second if it's cheap enough. The snow speeder, land speeder and speeder bike are among the few toys I can think of where I actually prefer the Vintage Collection versions over the Kenner ones, probably in part because the size isn't much different and they're overall just a lot better.

Not sure what you're using it for but fair warning, the hands are notoriously known for breaking off at the wrist on those Tuskens. So make sure you heat them up to loosen them first before moving them when it's fresh out of the package. I just bought a few of them a couple of months ago from Amazon and 2 out of the 3 broke on me with barely even moving them. I'm actually wondering if that is something they fixed for the one that's packed in with the upcoming Bantha but I doubt it.

>can't even include the floodlights to mount in place of the front pods for its appearances on umbara and coruscant
>and being a haslab means we're never ever ever seeing any recolors of it
As someone who is generally all for upgraded and more realistic vehicles, this just seems like such a wasted opportunity that I feel nothing about it. It doesn't look 'definitive', it's not my 'dream version' of the gunship, it's just a bigger-but-similarly-inaccurate version of what I already have; the improvements to scale, slightly improving (but not fully fixing) the doors, and adding the rear ramp don't make it perfect on their own, and for $450 it really needed to feel perfect. If this had fully fixed the doors, included an AT-RT that could fit folded up in the back, included the swappable floodlights, and at minimum one or two more sets of side panels, I think I would've happily paid more than $500 for it and bought at least two, but in this state I don't even want one, which sucks, because inevitably hasbro isn't going to take the right lessons from this if it fails. We have so many never-made vehicles that could've taken this slot, but instead we got this incremental improvement on something we already have, that would need another haslab in 5+ years to truly "finish" and make perfect, and if/when this fails, it's gonna hurt our chances of getting things in the future that would've easily succeeded.

Doing that with a Haslab is just completely fucked, though, because at these pricepoints I absolutely need to be able to look at it and say "I don't think this could be improved to enough of a degree that I'd ever want to upgrade it again", and I can't say that for this. Would it look better than mine? Maybe, probably, but not better enough, and not good enough to make me believe I'd never want a better one, which makes me just want to wait for a better one even though that obviously won't happen if this one doesn't fund - and probably still won't happen for many years even if this one does fund.

>>11503869
The tiers aren't for me but they're presumably at least for someone else, although that someone would probably rather put saesee and kolar in a RotS palpatine standoff/fight scene than an AotC geonosis arena scene, I'd assume? Regardless I'm fine with the tiers being made to lure people who want semi-obscure named characters to what's otherwise mostly just an offering for armybuilders, but as an armybuilder, I needed more from the vehicle itself, would've paid more if it had more, but it doesn't, which just makes me sad.

The biggest issue is the vest. It's just too big. Too long, too thick. The oversized vest makes the proportions look worse than they are. TBS figure got it about right. So did this figure which is much older. They fail at the strangest shit at Hasbro these days.

Probably feel like it's going to just be a bunch of recycling of things we already have and not a ton of newness. I don't have a problem with the theme but I could definitely see that as a problem. Return to Tatooine at least encompassed multiple pieces of media and eras whereas Geonosis is pretty contained. I hope they are going to be very creative with it. But if we get an all new Clone Commando sculpt out of it, then I will consider it a success either way.

Even Coleman being tied to the gunship is weird since he never had anything to do with one. He died way before they showed up.

Honestly I can't really think of any characters that would make good tiers for this. We only saw a handful of characters riding them, and most of those are main characters who already have multiple figures. They had to stretch the category to "Jedi who were at the arena" just to get some characters for this.

This pic really highlights how unnecessary and unexciting this ship is as a haslab. The first toy is great, and almost as big, and with other accessories released over time almost as complete. Yes this IS bigger and more detailed but is that enough to make it exciting as an exclusive super expensive release? Every other haslab has been a brand new thing we never got before, even the dogshit cantina is a massive more or less complete cantina compared to a small set from 40 years earlier and a piece of cardboard. This being a very similar yet larger sharper update to an already fantastic toy that they rereleased and recolored 5 or 6 times just doesn't have the kind of appeal of a never before done item.

Seems like majority of the discussion is about how people already have a gunship and don't want to pay $500 for another one. Ghost was an easier sell because it was something new and the rebels figure tiers were more enticing.

Yea, I really wish they would have chosen something different for the first PT related HasLab. Vehicles were so thoroughly realized during the prequel heydays and the TCW line that I don't really know what else would have been a more exciting choice in that fashion. Maybe an iconic playset would have been a better option instead? Like a Theed Hangar/Shield Generator or Jedi Temple. I don't really know, but I hope this campaign succeeds regardless because TVC can't really afford a loss. Pretty sure Hasbro only keeps this line around because of these annual projects that pay out their bonuses.

Haslab is starting to feel forced. Barge, Razor Crest, Ghost at least made some sense as items unfeasible for retail and with uncertain demand. Cantina wasn't necessary, people would have been satisfied with a $60 retail set with a downscaled booth and portion of the bar. Gunship just feels like they ran out of ideas and are trying to squeeze what money they can before Star Wars haslabs are no longer able to fund. Honestly, we don't need one every year. Most people don't have space and money to get haslabs every year. And Star Wars has lost most of its fanbase and brand power so huge $500 shit with questionable value every year isn't gonna work. They can stick to the crowdfund/made to order model but switch it to figure packs of obscure characters who wouldn't sell well at retail.

There's only going to be a smaller and smaller amount of hardcore TVC collectors every passing year and considering how many people have backed each campaign so far, they really need to start considering people's display real estate and finances as well. They keep launching these campaigns at the exact same time as a huge glut of preorders start to ship and it's forcing people to choose, which really only hurts Hasbro. I really hope next year they consider something that's more in the price range of $250-300 and do it when they don't have multiple waves and expensive packs hitting.

This haslab should have been a $350 made to order item clearly. This doesn't seem to be going over well in the community but I suspect it will barely make it over.

The only thing I'm really prepared to get at this point is an Imperial Shuttle (again prefer made to order), Deathstar playset, or the Outrider.

The Haslab and the tiers are absolutely tone-deaf, esp from what has been said about the four they showed to focus groups. Which quite frankly doesn't give me much faith since the other choices are underwhelming to me at least. (Maruader, U-Wing, Y-Wing with pilots)

Because OT and Mandalorian has been covered very well now and Disney shit doesn't sell so it's naturally time to revisit the prequels. The vest being removable and oversized is really the biggest issue. If they were going to make it a separate piece they should have sculpted accordingly and glued it. Han's vest is a thin Western-style accessory. The figure's vest makes it look like he's about to go camping. There are other places it falls a little short, but that is the most problematic one. Still not a bad figure.
Anonymous No.11508486
Got Merrin and the Cal 2 pack. Merrin is fantastic, I love her. And her headsculpt is better in hand imo. Cal is fine. Major issue though is the silver paint on the belt buckle scratches right off. Also it is pretty retarded that out of the 7 different Cals they have made across both scales, only one of them is designed to have BD fit on his back. This one once again doesn't have that ability.

At first I thought it was because they reused ANH Han's vest but I'm pretty sure this is an all new vest (and torso) sculpt so they should have had no problem make a little slot for BD's foot like the poncho release. Another gripe is the double blade saber hilt doesn't have a peg hole to attach it to the belt so you still can't have an accurately stowed lightsaber.
Anonymous No.11508490
While I like the black series Merrin, the TVC one is kinda meh. The head honestly sucks. I think the sculpt itself is actually decent but it's a bit undersized and she has a giraffe neck, which I think is so the hair doesn't get in the way of the hood. But the hair is also bad. Often times when the hair is a separate piece it doesn't look good like Shin Hati for example. But I do like she has an open palm hand I wish the black series got one as well.
