He’s samefagging so hard in the other thread it’s hilarious.
Let’s brainstorm some ideas.
He hates when you use a slur or vandalize the OP text.
He hates getting called out.
He hates not being able to control the thread.
He often uses the same speech patterns and key phrases.
He lashes out and implodes when consistently confronted.

Right. Anyway, I am looking forward to getting a couple of the haunted houses and making a horror movie party house. Someone’s posted something similar here before (hence the inspiration).
But I’d be down with an evil dead moc too but I want to have somewhere for all my spooky guys and I’m not paying $750 for the monster fighters I missed out on.

The set is smol. Basically the front of the house with Ash's car. Living room has just enough space to display the basement and the clock. Just about 100 pieces less than the new 3 in 1 haunted house. I'll post pics when it arrives.

What I'm thinking of is snagging one of the 3 in 1 houses to expand on the house and do at least a full living room. Either way I'll have the MF mansion to build and have enough space for figures in it. Myself I was going more for a classic horrors/ghosts idea but if you wanna put in modern horror characters you might want instead to do a smaller house for the scenes.

I have a trapdoor and chains I can use now that you mention it. So I'm debating if I should start looking for that new 3 in 1 set to have pieces to build the basement or look for some other spare pieces I have around. I do think I should have enough pieces to make it work. Either way set arrives until next week so I'll figure it out by then

It's because that smaller version is at a steeper slope to the top half of the ufo saucer, which gradiates to a smooth top. It's still the same at the top, an 8-wide circle, but it doesn't fit with >>11510012 to look like a smoother ufo saucer because its slope isn't long enough so you have that awkward gap.

I've never bought a bricklink designer set, but does anyone else really dislike them? I think they lack Lego quality. They all lack that expert builder touch and designer quality you expect from Lego directly. I also feel like they are using it to just satisfy fans of old lego themes in some way so they don't have to make any more Icons sets. Like since Medieval Market Village, it seems like they are not going to make any more castle themes because they have all these half baked designer program sets. Well personally, I don't want any of the castle sets in the designer program because I don't think they are very good.

I literally do not understand why anyone would buy one of those. First off, there's no unique parts kind of by definition, so really what you're doing is paying for a set of MOC instructions and a netlist of existing parts to buy. Second, the one single advantage that Lego has over third party brands is the cachet of the brand itself (and I guess also the fact that nobody can directly copy minifigs). If you're not even buying an official Lego set, what's left to justify it?

Not even having the instructions is very bad for long term value. There's no guarantee that they will be available in the future and not having an instruction booklet will always be a downside. Imagine having to rely on finding the instructions for a lego set from 20 years ago on some outdated webpage.

my point is, this price point would be embarrassing even by Star Wars standards, so I don't see any justification whatsoever. By the way, out of curiosity I checked what current year $430 would be worth adjusted-for-inflation, and it is equivalent of $336 in 2018 US dollars; for comparison, that same year the Bugatti Chiron came out at $349.99. Similarly, the Bucket Wheel Excavator cost $279.99, and even adjusted-for-inflation, you'd have 40 bucks change. There is no reality in which you can convince me this has almost the same value proposition as those two sets.

+cute brickfu
+finally "regular" banana guy
+minifig-scale llama
+"only" $23? wow!

-somehow, still seems overpriced
-could have had "cuter" brickfu (minor complaint tho)

overall, very good for a modern Lego set. imagine the two minifigs would be in CMF boxes for $5 each, and the rest of the set is $13. not-terrible!

Definitely do recommend. I thought I'd need to make the house much larger but it's actually just fine, tho you can always add a larger couch and like a bookshelf or extra stuff to the living room

the tipping point of New Jang City was putting in viewer minifigures and the societal connotations of gay people

way too expensive for what you get. i don't understand the hype desu. it's a facade. Lego is betting on people blind with nostalgia for the original to pay this absurd price.

What’s a fair price in your opinion?
$75, $69.99, $49.99?
I’ll get one new and then pick another one or two up at a discount.
It’s a great set and maybe 10-15 bucks overpriced but that’s literally every Lego set these days.
>just a facade
It folds up and if you get two you can beef it up. I see way more potential to moc with it than the new 3-1 castle.
As far as that goes everyone has been bitching about the new haunted house and how “overpriced” it is but everyone seems to be turning a blind eye to the $130 price tag for less parts brick built horses and literal horseshit. No masonry tho.

That's because castlefags are generally retards who will pay any price for grey bricks long as there's a [FACTION] print in there somewhere.
Not all of them, mind you, I've seen good castle stuff posted here and in /moc/, but most of them. That's why every CMF series is guaranteed to have one Castle fig who's guaranteed to be $15 on the secondary market.

I did. Pretty simple addition, just a small space to have stairs, a shovel and the necronomicon
