Kitana is a red platinum and will be available at Wal-mart, Target, GameSpot, an a few unspecified retailers. She's going to be available in limited quantities for the pre-order.

I hope mk fans enjoy the todd mcfarlane experience. Keep a full tank of gas in the car, youre gonna be driving around a bit looking for these red platinums.

I already have Multiverse. The line mostly suffered from having too many Batmsn figures and part reuses and didn't do classic characters until the very end of the line. Todd's had the MK license for years already and had been waiting until the Legacy Kollection was announced so he could do figures for the first three games.
His Johnny Cage from the period was pretty good, and is one of the more pricey figures on the aftermarket since Storm never made a Johnny Cage.
>>11520525
Their MK line they never finished any of the casts- >NO SHANG TSUNG FROM ANY GAME >NO JOHNNY CAGE FROM ANY GAME >NO SONYA BLADE FROM ANY GAME >NO JAX FROM ANY GAME >NO KITANA FROM ANY GAME >NO MILEENA FROM ANY GAME >NO JADE FROM ANY GAME
>>11520593
I’ve never understood this full roster autism with fighting game figures. Do you really need every single fighter? It’s not like they’re a team or anything. Just get the ones you like.
>>11521087
They're modern so they have not had a chance to age and become brittle yet. Transparent plastics generally are naturally weaker than solid color types (maybe barring gold plastic).
>>11521181
An excuse to put a female chsracter in a two-pack since Todd says female figures don't sell as well. The Sub-Zero figure is supposed to entice you to buy the set and includes ice effect pieces and an extra head that the standard release won't come packed with. There's very likely to be a Scorpion and Reptile two-pack that have yet to be shown.
>>11521237
100% Shao Khan, Goro, and Kintaro happen. The full cast of MKII seem very likely to get done with the sheer number of already announced figures. They already have 7 characters and there's only 7 more if you exclude boss characters. >Jade >Smoke >Shang Tsung >Jax >Johnny Cage >Baraka >Kung Lao
>>11520521 >>11520526 >No effects peices >No fatality alt heads >pins in a figure in the year of our lord 2025 BCE
Todd's gonna charge $29.99 forsingle figures isn't he. Fucking asshole.
>>11521585
Please understand, costs of action figure manufacturing skyrocketing, very smol independent company that doesn't need to make a profit but apparently actually does need to make a profit.
>>11521683
The set includes 4 alternate hands, 2 alternate head portraits, Sub-Zero's Ice Grenade, Spine Rip Fatality, Spine Rip Fatality with a head peg, Mileena's twin sai, and Throwing Sai energy effects. Also includes 2 flight stands, fighting base with reversable backdrop.
>>11521699
Considering what he’s trying to get for those deluxe figures now, he seems to want to be the in-between of cheap toys and high end ones, though I’m not seeing the value.
>>11521585 >No effects peices
Comes in the two-pack >No fatality alt heads
Has fatility parts in the two-pack with a spine you can put a character head on. Blood and gore have also been done with past figures >$29.99
Storm charged over $100 and was online only. These are mass retail.
>>11521740
The difference is, the storm figures were actually good and could pose. These mcfarlane figures look terrible and look so awkward in poses. >>11521692
>>11521754
This is how collecting ends. The prices are raised far too high too fast, so that the customer cannot feel the product is worth it. In just 2022 these same figures would be 19.99. That is a 50% price increase in 3 years.
>>11521760
Price wouldn't be a problem if they looked remotely decent. Integrate the joints properly into the sculpt, make them pinless, and give any amount of definition to the female molds, and I would happily buy into the line. As is, they look worse than the DC line.
>>11520598 >Just get the ones you like.
Sure, but the missing ones listed there are popular ones that a lot of people like. It's not like people are complaining about a missing Cetrion or Ferra/Torr here, these are A-listers.
>>11521871
I was hyped when these were announced, saw the offering and price, now I'll wait for JADA to get the license in 2030. By then $30 will be worth it.
>>11521941
And because Todd made less than 6k units of everything they’ve sold out because of the minority of retards that just can’t help but consume. This price hike now looks like a success to everyone.
It’s over for domestic lines aimed at adults.
>>11521992
Don't fall for Todd false scarcity BC. remember the 89 batmobile. sold out fast and everyone scrambling to get one. Then Amazon put it back up the following, ends up going on sale. BBTS still has the on preorder.
>>11522027 >Platinum Wonder Woman
Bro, are you new to the Todd experience. He hates women figures. He's said this multiple times in interviews. They don't sell. It's why he orders so few to be made and causing the prices to go high. artifiacial scarcity bro.
Todd, I thought maybe you would at least try to make the prices reasonable given the figures coming with basically nothing. I thought there was a chance at $25, I thought you might be able to get me to at least consider one figure. But I was wrong. For this low effort at 30 bucks, you can go home and be a family man.
So how long before McFarlane Toys is out of business? All the recent stuff they've shown off looks like absolute shit. Still shitty sculpts, bad articulation, still using joints with pins, less accessories, PLUS new insane prices! The $60 line that has most figures looking like regular $30 releases is a fucking joke and these MK two packs aren't much better! Repainted bodies that were already shitty and a piece of cardboard makes for $35 per figure??? Losing the DC license looks to have put Todd in a tailspin
Contrary to what some people were saying above due to the early Amazon and EE sell outs, these figures are selling somewhat slowly compared to current McFarlanes--from what can be gleaned so far. The 2 pack exclusive has not yet sold out at either location. Subzero and Scorpion are only sold out at 3/7 locations. Liu Kang at 2/7 locations. More than likely the sell outs indicate Amazon, EE and McFarlane's store carried low stock compared to the other locations. Kitana isn't even sold out yet despite being "RED PLATINUM."
>>11522189 >The 2 pack exclusive has not yet sold out at either location
Wal-mart tends to take orders well past when they've run out then suddenly tells you your pre-order is cancelled days or months later. Gamestop often does the same, where if we're lucky to get a pre-order they cancel them anyway.
Cant belive these badly sculpted, painted, and poorly articulated figures sold out at these over inflates prices. Can these pieces of garbage even do a ninja sliding kick pose? And just look how terribly sculpted the arms are...their is no muscle definition. Dont even get me started on the female ninjas. Mcfarlane toys needs to hurry and go bankrupt already
>>11523287
You're right, I thought these were the MK I design for some reason. Still impossible to find nowadays, and they never did any reissues. I could only find MK III Reptile for the longest time, or a 1/6 scale of Sub-zero's classic outfit from MK 11
>>11524395 >That'll be $29.99
Yet they still can't cut a remotely decent looking elbow joint. It doesn't cost any more to do so either, it just takes someone who isn't incompetent making the figure.
