The first mass produced $1000(ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS) Lego set. Will this set the stage to become the new normal? Is this the future of toys?
What's the most money you ever paid(or would be willing to pay) for a toy?

Where have you been anon of course toys are going to keep getting more and more expensive. I don't really understand the sudden outrage over this desu I mean they've been doing sets from $700-900 which was already unreasonable. For those willing to pay those prices, whatโ€™s a couple hundred more?

You're the reason why rent is higher than ever. It's a fucking toy, if I wanted to pay 1k for something I'd buy a luxury watch. If dumbasses like you justify paying whatever companies want to charge for shitty products, they'll keep raising the prices until no one buys them and then the company implodes on itself. kys

>strawman
notice how you compare it to rent, a necessity. you expose your consumerist brainrot, you treat it as an inevitability that you WILL buy it sooner or later, which is why the price burns you up so much. You KNOW you'll buy it, no matter the price, so you get angry over how much money you're going to lose. Zero impulse control, like a trained seal.
Meanwhile, I'm not gonna buy it. so it can cost a thousand dollars or a hundred-thousand and it makes no difference, because precisely zero of it will be coming out of my wallet regardless.

C'mon bro! Look! They're even throwing in Grand Supreme advisor Fartdik Slapnutz! Remember him? He's an EXTREMELY important character who some of you REAL fans might remember made a very small, one panel appearance in the original Marvel comics run. He was responsible for picking out the color of Emperor Palpatine's chair! Can you even imagine watching episode VI with seeing emperor Palpatine's iconic chair!? No but in all seriousness this guy is probably gonna go for like $200 on bricklink....

It's hilarious how badly they're cheaping out on the figs in a 1000 dollar set. I'm not even the kind of person who spazzes out about dumb shit like waistskirts and dual-molded legs (personally I think those legs usually look stupid) but I'm completely unimpressed by the quantity and selection of figs. The set has what, 38 figures? Really not a lot when you consider the overall price. Considering how all-out this set should be, a couple extra pieces of plastic shouldn't be much to ask for. There should've been enough troopers and officers to fill out the landing pad. And there should've been several of those glub shitto imperial advisors rather than just one. This thing really should be packed to the gills with content.

Believe it or not this

The last MP prime is about the same asking price as this, but I said no way in hell for that (who cares about the trailer) and ended up with a KO

But this guy I say it it Worth it for getting 7 figure.

I can only pray they won't fuck up the QC

Isnt this that scam haslab shit?
If released at retail would be no more than $150 but hasbro being lying greedy jews say that stores wouldn't stock it, that you need to pay a kickstarter for it then pay over $500-800 for a product which probably only cost them $20 to make

Hasbro charge over 130 for ss86 prime.
A ko company releases the same item for 25 and it comes with improvements

It's just fucking greed

congrats, Lego.
you have successfully discovered how to sell tiny plastic figures for HUNDREDS of dollars each.

Lego owns Bricklink, and the conspiracy theory says they hustle pieces out of the Mexico factor themselves, as invisible random vendors.

you get excited, and thankful even, that you can score the one Gulp Shitto for "only" $75!!! far better than a full $1000!

but you still spent $75 (or more) on a little plastic figure. they also sell those in boxes for $5 each

the only reason this Death Star doesn't have 50 Stormtroopers is to maintain the illusion that the minifigs are worth more than the rest of the plastic.
