Ok, so I'm halfway through building the Krusty Burger. I like the Simpsons but I don't remember "Farmer Krusty" and I noticed Jakks or something made a Farmer Krusty figure. So I looked it up, and actually the booklet tells you the name of the episode "Coming to Homerica". It's a season 20 episode, so it's way past the good seasons. I watched the episode just to figure out what it's about and basically Krusty makes a veggie burger that makes everyone sick. That's supposed to be the gag but that's only the first 5 minutes of the episode. The rest of the episode is basically about immigrants taking over jobs, but they're "white", and a wall. Cant help but think that out or all the Simpsons episodes somebody at Disney or Lego chose that? And it can't just be a coincidence that both Lego and Jakks released a figure based on thet episode. Anyways, so far the build is pretty good but now as good as the Kwik-E-Mart. That one is just almost perfect. Would have preferred a regular Krusty or at least a different episode. The costume is so generic that it looks like a regular Lego City farmer torso, only the head mold is visibly different. Also Homer's clown car is pretty weak tho a nice build. I just feel like it would have been a good set for introducing Marge's station wagon. Also the Gift with Purchase is cute but would have been nice to see something a little different.

I'm probably everything you guys hate because I prefer brand themes over Lego's own. Especially Star Wars and also some HP/Jurassic X.
I also buy multiple of each set I like, often 3, so that I can sell 2 for more than I paid a few years later resulting in my own basically having been "for free".
Lastly I enjoy display sets that just look really good, I don't care too much about minifig scale or optimal playability.

Reusing shark minifig is hard because of the hair. The squid head mold is actually easier to reuse with a evil print for some bad guy.

Let's start with some older sets I found.
The pirate set was most beloved and most expensive one for a long while. I should have all the parts to rebuild it but I think the sail is lost unfortunately.

The UFO I actually don't event remember owning, I must have been too little or it was a trade since we just traded legos all the time or something.

I loved castle and I believe I have many minifigs but this one was my biggest set. I was really envious of all my friends that had actual castles

My most prized lego, I was salivating when I saw it because of the theme and was only able to get it because my mother got some inheritance. Also the last lego set I ever got until recently. Some parts fell off but they are in a separate box.

I used probably $30 worth of loose bricks to recreate the Volcano Island. I used a crank on the back the raise or lower the flames and disguised it as foliage. Its a KINO set and incredibly playable. It being so small, you can easily move it around for display options or playing purposes.

It’s kinda gay Star Wars went with their modern blaster route. They should have just done slight mold variants of that camera and kept things blocky. The blasters don’t even look good in a Lego figure’s arms. If they took the scope off that camera it would fit the blocky lego aesthetic more and be cool. Kind of like how the original boba helmet was so good. It just needed the ability to remove the helmet from the jetpack. That way you could turn the head. Instead they went with that modern mandalorian helmet. Which isn’t bad necessarily it just doesn’t look like lego in the way old boba and Jango helmets did

I always got the sense that the collab ment more to Lego than WOTC and they don't seem interested in extending the license.

Lego needs to stop making gender neutral action themes happen (as well as app themes, but that's another thing). If you want to get girls into action themes, throw in female characters, but leave everything else normal. Make specific minidoll action themes like Elves.
I have a feeling these gender neutral themes and City swallowing up action themes are cost cutting. Apparently coming up with new box art, minifig prints, and lore is too expensive.

I came back to LEGO after like 20 years of not paying attention to it, and while I find the modern licensed slop and excessive tiny, smoothed, high piece count design to be kinda cringe try hard and not my cup of tea, it was the noticably worse plastic quality that really surprised me.
