Anyone know exactly which Lufthansa flights have the new business class? The new product seems actually good but the old business class is some third-world tier shit, I have to make sure that I don't accidentally get the old one.

I've flown Finnair on the Japan routes and they always make the cabin so uncomfortably fucking hot that I keep waking up every 15 minutes. I guess it's because of the barely alive 95-year-old Japs that fly on there but holy fuck, a shitty experience all around.

I absolutely fucking despise the trend of removing personal air vents. Almost every single airline seems to be doing it in their upgraded business class arrangements. I just want to not feel hot you pieces of shit

I haven't noticed that, and I've flown Finnair plenty of times. They're one of the best for price-quality ratio when it comes to Asian flights. Obviously they were better and cheaper before covid, but they're still a solid option when traveling Europe-Asia. The new business class seats are comfy (actually OP's pic looks like Finnair), food is ok but not great (used to be great before covid), it's overall a solid package that you can find for cheaper than most other choices.

This costs almost the same as business class but gives you none of the extra boarding/lounge/luggage priority benefits, the row is not even long enough to fully stretch when sleeping unless you're 5 feet tall, and if you want to sit down you still have shit cattle class legroom.

All in all, pure retardation

nah you're doing it wrong. I'm a plane fag so i know about wide-body aircrafts as opposed to single-isled planes. If it's a single-isle plane like the 737 or A320, ill be fine with economy since the business class offering isn't that much of a step up. But an international flight on a wide-body (787, a330, a380), business class is so much better than cattle that it's worth it. these planes usually have lie-flat seats and better meals and alcohol. a380s also have a bar/lounge area that only available for business/first class passengers, so that's kind of cool too.

the rest of you fkn retards in this thread need to leave. this thread is for rich fags only.

>why most airlines, especially in Europe, are extremely cheap about their narrow-body business class
because flights are mostly <2h
those that aren't are to mass tourist destination
and the big business center / regions of the EU are better connected by road / train

actually most flights are <1h feeder flights

which makes the problem even worse
there are barely any premium heavy routes
much less frequently flow ones
so the airlines need their smaller aircraft mainly as feeder and can't justify a premium configuration for the few flights per month it flights route that would justify it

China Airlines (from Taiwan) is probably one of the better J experiences atm for trans-Pacific flights imo. Or maybe cause everything felt new since I never flew with them before.
Cathay's new Aria suites on their 777s look nice on the surface but there's so much shit wrong with them functionality wise, I would actually just prefer to hop on an A350 and their old hard product. They've been in decline since COVID, was better pre-COVID.
ANA's old J hard product was kinda shit, food used to be better pre-COVID. Haven't tried their new suites.
JAL has always been good to me service wise. If the cabin is too hot, you can voice your complaint and they do sometimes adjust it by a bit.
EVA has good service, product is just old and feels unrefined compared to their direct competitors
SQ business is great. SQ first is great.
Qantas is acceptable I guess
British Airways is also acceptable. The issue I get is the service attitude is just dogshit.
Air Canada gave me expired snacks on domestic J and a printed menu on a loose leaf of paper on an international flight to HKG
United - I personally avoid ever flying them again

60% work/40% leisure over the years, now mostly 80% leisure and 20% work for flying. Mix of paying cash and points. You don't get a lot of deals like you used to get pre-COVID for cash and points have been devalued constantly. Doesn't help that everyone has become at travel influencer+spamming referrals so less redemptions in general

how is this a discussion again and again

you don't pay for the 3-6hours (also it'll be like 10h+ for when most people fly business)
you pay for
>coming to the airport later and leaving earlier
>actually sleeping on the plane
>thus having a fit day more on vacation
>can directly work again after coming back
so you effectively have 2 days more vacation

which is far more important than just being more comfortable on the flight itself

the only european airport even in the top50 is Heathrow... with it's New York connection

Japanese air travel has A LOT more business travelers and is way more concentrated
which makes having premium cabins on some planes viable

again, most routes in route are low capacity and the airplanes that fly on those routes are mostly used for feeder flights or mass tourism otherwise
low premium demand on those
and the routes that have occasional premium demand are just flown with wide body aircraft (for short haul) like swiss does with their 777 (e.g. ZRH-FRA)

of course it's true, and that's the thing people who don't fly business class just don't get. the time on the plane is only part of the experience. but you won't understand until by some miracle you get to experience it yourself on a decent airline and realise just how much better things can be
that anon mentioned getting to the airport later but usually when i'm flying business or first i actually try to get to the airport earlier. i like to have a few drinks and snacks in the lounge and maybe a shower before the flight too. i also use the arrival lounge at the destination too, if there is one.
there are other things that don't get mentioned very much as well. if you're a points collector, you usually get at least 2-3x more points when you fly business.
then there's the additional luggage allowance. for those of us who actually live internationally (i have houses in two countries, and i know people with multiple places around the world) this is a huge benefit. when added to the additional allowance you get from having a higher level in an airline's points scheme, it's not unusual to have nearly 100kg of luggage allowance per person.

>business class recommendations
As a frequent business class flyer for all leisure flights (I'm a wagecuck with an employer all-economy policy), there is almost no such thing as choice in premium cabin, and even thinking it exists is stupid in itself

For those of us not poor (budget line constrained), the utility of a flight is typically a utility maximization function made up of time (less is better), class of service (higher is better, up to some diminishing point), subject to some budget constraint. This usually implies business class is not worth it if it takes significantly longer because any time in an airplane/airport is strictly worse than not being in one.

Now consider how business class works as a product offering by airlines and the economics of it all: A flight must have enough passenger volume (demand) to go from regional jet -> narrow body -> wide body, the bigger you go the more likely you can have premium cabin. Now also consider cabotage and slots allowed to airlines by treaty between countries, there are actually very few routes where airlines directly compete with each other with the same equipment and thereby both having business class.

If you have the aforementioned utility function (generic), this means business class is nice to have, but not at a cost of large amounts of your time. Thereby, you have some default option for business class and rarely choose between them. People who fly business class long-distance on purpose usually have terrible routings and positioning flights and are wasting incredible amounts of time, which only makes sense if you are an aviation fan or your time isn't worth anything.

I remember watching a video from that Wendover cunt i think who said that Business class is the most profitable class for an airlines, even more than first. I'd say, from absolutely no fkn evidence at all besides a hunch, that 95% of business class travelers are either workers whose company is paying for the trip, or those credit card churning points fags. the other 5% are people on this thread.

Any of you stupid fags ever flown business class on a budget airlines, like Jetstar?

Air Europe "Premium" is a premium economy.
TAP, TAM and Iberia have a good - very good hard product for their business but the soft product and attention to detail is so shit it could as well be a budget airline.
The Euro Holiday budget airlines like Condor/Edelweiss have okayish but dated business classes
Norwegian seems to be really hit and miss depending on the metal you can get a very good business product to a utter shit one.

Idk I just can't justify spending so much more money on business class. I'm a multimillionaire and I always go for the most budget-friendly but sensible option when it comes to international flights. My 1-way flight to Bangkok next month cost me $800 but when I search for business class it's $3500 and up. No thanks, I'll sit with the poors.

here's another thing you don't know anon
airlines try to keep their big spenders happy
business class fliers tend to get to the higher levels of airline points schemes and once you're at that level they try to keep you there
so they send you coupons for free stuff, discounts, upgrades etc etc. not just on flights but other stuff too. example, once an airline sent me a booklet of coupons for free weekend car rentals. i used them together with some of the hotel points that i had also accumulated and my girlfriend and i had a couple of months of free weekends away.
then there are the points. one year i had so many virgin atlantic points from flying in upper class that i didn't know what to do with them before they expired so i swapped them all for shopping vouchers and gave them to my family for christmas.
so yeah the "heckin priority benefits" come in useful sometimes. get a grip yourself.

flying JAL, is the upgrade from Premium Econ to Business really worth it?
Premium Econ:
>Still get lounge access
>Still get priority access
>Seats are plenty big and recline deeply, not lie flat but probably enough to sleep fine
>Unlimited drinks
>Seems like the same food as coach? Can't really tell
Business
>More privacy
>Lie flat
>Better food
>Better screen
Obviously thats all nice but Im looking at ~$1000 vs $2500, doesn't seem worth almost 2.5x the price to me unless money isn't an object.

You could spend that $500 like a mad lad on 1-2 5* Hotel nights and would get better value from your money. I'm all for premium cabin but we talk about change and pointless upgrades you get from any meh FF program status or your credit card to blowing up your entire trip budget for a actual class upgrade.

If $500 is a trivial amount of money to you as many on this board claims then consider not burning it and stop spending on retarded things in general. If you can save $10k in a year by not being a retard, you will be wealthy in 10 years. many on this board claim $50k is disposable which is insane. that's retirement in just a few years of smart investing

You need to spend money to feel superior to poor peasants.
I do not need to spend money to feel superior to poor peasants.

We are not the same.

Even if I was surrounded by violently shitting falcons and screaming unsupervised arab toddlers in economy, I would still know I am superior to them. Spending money is not a requirement. Physical separation is not a requirement. I will not reward an airline with 500% markup on seating for giving me 10% more padding on my seat and 20% more legroom.
Such things do not bother and do not matter to me. No seating arrangement in an aircraft will make me more white, and you less brown.
No seating arrangement in an aircraft will reduce the inherent nobility in my genetics, or improve yours. I cannot be humiliated by peasant nonsense, because it doesn't affect my spirit or my soul. My corporeal form may be tormented by brownoid mischief temporarily, but it means nothing. My mental strength and fortitude is so supreme that I can move past it, undisturbed and at peace.

>>2788374
A plane with a sky bar is unironically a good networking opportunity. If you are going to spend money, then it should be to secure a private space for other wealthy individuals to communicate their plans on how to dominate the peasantry and how they can collude to loot the third world even more effectively.
