A lie. Public healthcare is cheap(by western standards) in the Philippines, but it is also horrible quality and potentially deadly in terms of malpractice/hygiene. Hospitals in this country will also hold you prisoner (IE: locking the your hospital room and not letting you out), until you pay a bill in full. This is illegal, but its still a common practice since filipinos skip out on the bills .

Actual quality healthcare in Philippines comes from private hospitals/foreigner hospitals, which are extremely expensive for 'mediocre' by asia private hospital standards. You are better off flying to thailand and going to a beautiful upscale mall-like private hospital, than trying to get care in PH for a serious condition. It will be the same price, but far safer and more professional.

PH also has tons of really bizarre restrictions on prescription drugs, you cannot get and type of steroids here legally and testosterone injections require a bunch of hoops to jump through. If you're an older man and wanting to put on some muscle mass and stay athletic, this is a bad place to do it. Before you shed your bitch tears and give your woman opinion about PED's, modern steroid schedules come with very little side effects, and enormous benefits. You can't do it here in PH because its only black market smuggled shit that is expired or horrible quality/fake. Never inject or swallow any black market steroids here, its chink poison. The guys doing gear go buy it in thailand and either ship it to themselves or just bring it in their luggage.

PH is cambodia-tier for hospitals. Do not get healthcare here unless it is a life saving emergency. Even then, as soon as you are well enough to fly, get your ass over to thailand.

I’m currently a resident of the Philippines. I can attest that there are really nice, really good, and really pretty young ladies here. Most of them realize the country is absolutely bleak. If the have the ability to think outside the box then they want to escape. A medical doctor, general practitioner, earns roughly $45k USD a year. Your average Filipino with a college education will earn about P36,000 a month. That is about $700. If they can get out, they can thrive. Some just can’t get out without marriage. I have friends who married Filipinas who they brought back and then they did online courses and started earning six figures in the USA.

I personally wouldn't make it a habit to swim in Mactan water. They had to close down a spot in Cordova (neighborhood in Mactan) that was popular with the locals due to to much shit in the water. The public beach on Mactan is officially named Vano beach, but the locals call it BANO beach ( that's bathroom beach for you non Spanish speakers)

Bano beach (also called Mar beach) is a kinda lit on the weekends. It's a real local vibe, people go there to celebrate birthdays, anniversarys of marriage, anniversarys of death, child christenings, baptisms, graduations, ect. You can go there with no money and leave drunk, it's a party every weekend there as long as it isn't raining. I would go there to hang out with my family and watch the sunset or whatever, but I wouldn't recommend swimming there. To crowded and the locals use the water as s bathroom

You can buy a boat ticket to Bohol in Cebu. I recommend ocean jet. There ticket office is directly outside the gates of pier 1, adjacent to the plaza Independencia and the old Spanish fort.
