How do I get over my fear of traveling alone? I'm turning 25 next month, and even though I've traveled before, it's always been with my family. I've always wanted to go to New York, and it feels like the perfect time since I've got some extra money and free time. The thing is, the few people I asked to come with me aren't really interested. I'm just wondering will it be super lonely walking around the city and eating alone? Anyone here have advice or been in a similar situation

By doing the entire reason you wanted to go to NYC in the first place, if you're not going for fun then why are you going?

> the few people I asked to come with me aren't really interested
Did you ask them to come because you had ideas of things to do and fun things to do, or did you invite them because you're an NPC who can't think of anything to do without being told what is fun or nto

If no one wants to go with you, travel alone.
Worst case scenario, you spend a bad time but you learn many things about life. DO IT NOW.
After 30 years old it's game over, you'll be a wagie clone who doesn't even own a passport.

Trust me, traveling with a group is super annoying.

The main advantage of traveling alone is you don't have to schedule as much and the bigger the group the longer shit will take. You can just wing solo lot of the time but anything a group wants to do is going to slow you down in lot of cases but solo travel is better for seeing any country you can aimlessly wonder if you want to without issue long as you legally go to whatever catches your eye.

Just an example, say you really like this one spot your group is staying at for just one day and want to stay an extra day but your group doesn't you don't have much of a choice for staying other than cutting off from the group and possibly meeting them somewhere else the day after but if you are solo this isn't a issue.

There are many fascinating corners of NYC you can prowl around where group travelers never go.

Can you elaborate on your fear of traveling alone? Is it basically you just fear you might get lonely?
If so.. what is so bad about it? If you feel lonely will it make you miserable? Or you just simply willnt enjoy yourself?

Some things are better alone, but some things are better with friends
This trip you will just have to go alone and learn how to enjoy time with yourself.
Bring a book or a camera or some shit
The one thing i notice of being alone is i might see something that is hilarious, and i might chuckle, but with a friend , your both pissin your pants laughing
