I will be cancelling.

Maybe your work is relaxed about losing money but mine would never approve of a credit card fee for travel that is not required for business lmao. In fact they wouldn't pay for my credit card at all and instead only reimburse the hotel/airbnb + food + gas cost if it was for business.

Fuck you and the credit card shills you shill for. You people are what’s killing points and miles

Wow, holy fuck, just found out about this from this thread, thank you OP. Yes, I will. Holy shit, this is fucking gay as fuck, especially losing the 1.5x points on general travel purchases. Any good alternatives besides the CSP?
Anonymous No.2796372 [Report]
>>2796334
just use the combo of CSP and Chase Freedom Unlimited card, very similar rewards system between the two unless you are spending huge amounts of money per year on travel expenses.

If you’re not poor you should get $2500 of value out of it minimum

You get 4x on flights and hotels booked direct now. 8x through the Chase portal which sucks

I’ve got the Chase sapphire preferred. It’s a sexier card anyway.

Don’t be surprised if you see people flexing the reserve card. Went to whole foods and this dumb bitch whipped it off it of her wallet cinematically a few days ago.

What’s the annual fee on the Preferred versus Reserve?
Anonymous No.2796891 [Report]

It ends to being a net savings to my firm with the amount of food and drinks I get in lounges and some expense to clients.
Anonymous No.2797109 [Report] >>2799296
Looks like annual fee for Preferred is $95

Is that card even worth it besides the awesome welcome bonus? I was going to cancel after it renews.

Depends entirely on your ability to get value out of it.

Looks like the only thing I’d miss here is being able to transfer points to United in case I use them for something international. But I could still just cash out the points and use them that way. United points are apparently only worth 1.2 points per cent, which isn’t much more than cash.
Anonymous No.2799336 [Report]

1.2 cents per point rather

Can't wait for Amex to raise the Platinum fee and "rework" benefits. It will clear more normgroids who barely make $100k out of the airport lounges.

They've been crowding them like cockroaches ever since Covid and the rise of TikTok telling everyone to get a travel card.

They already announced a refresh is coming. Just waiting to see what it'll be.

Who cares. It's only good for flights. I fly once every three months typically, once a month if the country I'm going to is shitty and/or only allows 30 day visa free stays and has no land borders. American Express has better options for realtravelers™ like me.

>$795 annual fee
>$300 given back as credit for food, hotels, travel
>$120 DashPass membership given to you
>$120 in Lyft credits per year, $10/mn
>Global Entry fee waived
>$150/half year credits in dinner
>Apple TV+ & Music given to you
>$150/half year in stubhub credits
>among other ways to get credits
It's a card made for people who actually travel year around, a lot. It's not for casual gamers.

This. I also get around $500 of pay yourself back value per year when I’m not using rewards for travel
Anonymous No.2800957 [Report]

I get that much from my $95/year card, why should I pay nearly $1000 to get the same thing other than to "mog" some retards on the internet who think paying your bank outlandish sums to let you buy things with your own money is a flex?
Anonymous No.2800958 [Report] >>2800965

So you spend $800 to get back maybe $600 in restricted use cases and shitty airport lounges filled to the brim with crappy food and browns?

I don't understand the point of this. Seems pretty useless unless money is no object to you at which point there has to much better cards out there for you.

>to get back maybe $600 in restricted use cases and shitty airport lounges filled to the brim with crappy food and browns?
Wrong.
You get $300 straight back for any food, hotel, or travel (flights, gas)
$120 is DashPass which can be used for any food, just like DoorDash
You have $300 in dinner credits for any restaurant you go and sit down and eat at (excludes take out)
You have $300 in stubhub credits which can be used for anything it offers which is a major value any traveler would take for concerts, sports, festivals, etc.

These four alone make it worth it.
>b-b-but I don't want to eat out with their might be browns in the restaurants
Grow up and stop larping as a traveler, incel.

nta but your math isn't really adding up here, half that shit you get anyway with any points card, I am pretty sure I got a free doordash or something from amazon prime or maybe it was my sapphire $95 card, I am not sure but I sure as shit didn't pay $1000 for it, is "you have to spend $1000 for nothing or you're a chud" really the best you can do?
Anonymous No.2800977 [Report]

Let me tell you about the distaste I have for "browns." I applied for a traveling credit card recently, instantly approved with no credit limit, because I have a 815 credit score from using credit for about 2k dollars worth of stuff in my entire life just so I can get good credit, because that's what I was told to do as a kid, play by the rules, and be honest. When I was applying, the application asked for my home address, which of course isn't where I am presently. I'm traveling. I call up instantly and the Indian chap told me the card is automatically sent out the moment that I accepted the terms. I have to wait for it to be delivered, then I have to lie and say that the card is damaged/lost and have a new one sent to my present location. 36 hours later, I get an email saying the card has been printed. 24 after that, that the card is being prepared to ship out. You really telling me that the card is shiped out the instance I clicked that button and that you can't do a little bit of work in three days time. Here's the truth,I know you get a bonus for completing a certain amount of tickets in an hour and just rush through shit, but shouldn't I be rewarded for honesty. And until I find one that has a conscience, and doesn't act like a wild animal, I'll continue to look down on 'em.

Lol, I will be canceling mine if that's the case.
