Nevada looks like Mars.
> Travels from California to Nevada.
> Realizes I left the trees of Ca. to visit a fucking desert.
> Palms start to sweat.

On the upside me and my dad got the fireworks (that are illegal in Ca.) that we came for. Bought them at a gas station owned by the Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Tribe.

Did you drive the lonely road of US route 50?

I live in boston. That photo looks beautiful. I'd love to ride my motorcycle through the southwest. Just not in summer. Maybe the spring around late april when it's more mild with plenty of light out unlike the fall.

Same. Drove to LV and passed the Sierra Nevada in the night. I was frightened by mountain range in the dark, so intimidating. The desert at night felt like I was on moon sometimes.
Then visiting lost forgotten towns with maybe a few hundred people in the middle of nowhere. Felt like I was in a different world.

It's July, anon. There's no shade anywhere. From an ecological perspective, the desert is an extreme struggle for existence. Nothing at all like the easy life of the forest in summertime.

My biggest fear when driving through here was what if my car broke down.
There's no cell service here

Our ancestors who had to travel on horse and buggy must have had to put up with a lot. They probably rejoiced when they saw California's ocean.

>looks like Mars

Not really. There's still vegetation and signs of life there. The Lut desert in Iran is a lot closer to the sheer barrenness of Mars

Ops photo is one road in Red Rock Canyon. The road from California to Vegas looks like this for 90 percent of the drive.

It was very barren. The mountains looked like giant rocks.

How does Iranian culture interact with the Lut? Is it just a dead wasteland, or do they have indigenous peoples there, ancient desert cities, etc?

I vaguely remember that Iran has fire temples, and like to imagine millennia ago there were big stone cities with eternal flames burning, etc.

The entire drive along the 395 is nothing short of spectacular. I would argue it is a more impressive single stretch of scenery than anywhere else in the lower 48.

That's all travel photography desu. Select the most appealing spot out of 1000 possible viewpoints, and make people imagine the rest to be just as evocative.

Yes, Nevada is fucking empty, that's why they legalized gambling. If they didn't it would be even more sparsely populated than Wyoming.

395 is one of the best drives in the US. It's a100 times better than route 15 to Vegas. I just did 395 and went in the back entrance to Yosemite. Tioga Road is the best stretch of road I've ever driven in the world.

Imagine being drafted to fight for israel at 16, but you get btfo if you throw dice or watch horseracing.

Would you drive into Nevada just to get a legal escort?

I have 395 on my list. It seems amazing. I really like lonely places. It make me feel like I'm on the steppe or a the frontier.
One day I hope to spend a month traveling coast to coast

It's pretty much avoided except for some tourists venturing in briefly. It's that large white spot on the map that says uninhabited areas.

It's amazing, like truly unbelievable scenery you'd only otherwise find in the rockies. It's also like really really white on that side of CA.

Apart from pockets of minorities, it is pretty white including up class fags in cities

I would not. Try to look up tryst and the monger threads here to see how your city's scene is like
