What is the cost of living in Nepal if you actually want to live comfortably?

>2 adults, at least 2 children
>low-crime area
>4-bedroom detached family home
>high speed internet
>purified water
>enough hot water to bathe/shower everyday
>non-vegetarian diet (as fresh & organic as possible)
>private schooling for the kids

>The cost of living in Nepal is 1200 bucks a year
unless you become a monk, absolutely not

if you life frugally with a low standard maybe ~$300/month
realistically $500-$600/month, and a bit more if you want to be comfortable

>What is the cost of living in Nepal if you actually want to live comfortably?
if you want to live in Kathmandu
>2 adults, at least 2 children
with your criteria
it'll be ~$1500-$2000/month all in

add another 1000 to have a nicer house, in a nicer area
private (non-Indian) international schools can get expensive as well
so that's easily 10k-20k per kids per year

real estate is surprisingly expensive though

Gayyy. Move to Nepal by yourself and live in the mountains. One bedroom one kitchen. Starlink. Wander out into the wilderness and die when it gets cold

You can survive on $3 a day in America too if you gibsmaxx. Live in a free tent, eat free food, play on your free cell phone all day, and spend your $3 on weed.

Going from Asia to Europe, I noticed a big change. Nobody hacking and coughing anymore! In Asia, soooo many people have chronic coughs. Here in Poland, even with all the ciggy smoking, hardly anybody coughs.

>What does it cost to live in a place like pokhara for instance?
not that different from Kathmandu
rent is a bit cheaper
purchasing real estate not

but most things will be priced pretty similarly as prices are mostly defined by import cost
which are the same for every sufficiently large city in Nepal

again, all under the assumption you want a high living standard and not live like a local

the new "international" airport still (almost) exclusively connects domestically and mostly to Kathmandu
(non-indian) international schools are also more rare

so the cost of living for Kathmandu is still a good reference

1200/mo is livable in plenty of the US though
>moved to the Dakota's a while back
>rent 500-550/mo for 1br
>500/500 internet ~50 bucks
>no income tax in SD
>vast farms keep grocery prices fairly low
>spring/summer/most of fall can bike to anywhere I need with ease
>winters kinda suck but not hard or expensive to get groceries delivered
>work remote IT gig and make bank for saving or flying out to work in Asia during shitty winter months

picrel OP shop around you'd be surprised how cheap the "hekkin flyover" states can be.
>inb4 nothing to do
You'd be surprised what kind of people you can find here, the amount of anons I've ran into at bars is up there. Girls are fine as long as you join one of the gyms like PF/AF

They'll only exist for as long as dementia goes uncured, which is forever.

There's a reason why Lubbock is cheap dude. Not only is it in the middle of nowhere but its always hot, dusty, dirty and has Dallas suburbs levels of crime currently because of the DFW pricing pushing the undesirables out more by the day. That pic is the definition of too good to be true.

A lot of those cheap houses exist in lubbock simply due to TTU redoing student housing to higher density places IIRC. Places that were previously rented to 2-3 students @ x per person are basically flooded on the market these days.

>muh crime
Most of Lubbocks crime rates are completely fucked up due to most all college campus crime be it underage drinking, petty theft, DUI, weed/drugs, and so on is all wrapped in with the smaller ~250k pop. I won't say there is no crime but it's heavily skewed due to that. It's still safer than LA, Newport News, Chicago, etc.

It's still the kind of place where you grow to hate your trashy neighbors after any amount of time there.

>middle of nowhere
You can fly from Lubbock to Tokyo for a little over $600 with a single layover. Bangkok via the Middle East takes two layovers, same price. That's not too bad.
