Is anyone here celibate that solo travels? It seems like everyone is doing it for sex reasons. What motivates you to travel if so?

I travel too much as a remote worker to form the bonds needed for real sexo. If a girl knows you are leaving in a few weeks, she'll usually lose interest quickly. I may start unironically sleeping with prostitutes because I haven't had sex in almost two years, and that seems really unhealthy

I am now, but I haven't travelled since I stopped being a monger. Next trip to Thailand, is going to be completely sexless though. New places away from the seedy holes, much more time on my own. My motivation is that I still love the country itself, even if that wasn;t the main priority originally, and still have so much more of it to see. The vast majority, in fact.

25 yo incel here
I'll be taking my first ever solo trip to Germany soon. I'm doing it to try and get out of my comfort zone, live my life, experience the culture and history, and to get practice for future travels.
I'm mostly just planning to do sightseeing and walking around on my own, but Berlin is a big nightlife city, and I don't want to miss out. Problem is, I've never been good at nightlife in my home country anyway. Always been awkward for me. I'll be staying at a hostel so MAYBE I'll make friends, but what if I don't? And if I do, what if they don't want to go out with me? And if they do, what if they go home with a hot chick or Chad while leaving me in the dust?
Ugh I'm so nervous. I wish I was Chad who could into nightlife

Don't worry, grasshopper. Nightlife isn't essential to enjoy travelling. If it doesn't work out just put it on the back burner and forget about it either til you're ready for another shot or forever if not. One of the most important things to get down, is to just be chill and don't worry too much. You'll almost certainly never see any of these people again anyway, so if you fuck up it doesn't matter. It's all experience, we learn from it, we grow.

Germany is a great choice for your first solo trip! Easy to get around and even if the Germans aren't super outgoing they are courteous and helpful. You are still young enough you can stay at a hostel- I would recommend that as a good start to meet people.

I travel for non sex reasons but I still monger a bit. It's nice to buy an ugly old hooker once or twice while you're traveling just to stave off the loneliness and since I never have sex back home, but revolving your entire trip around sex seems tiring. It's quite nice to just be in a foreign country and work on stuff/read at cafes and try new restaurants and spend hours walking around or riding bicycle.

Hostels are full of old poor people these days. European guys are courteous and helpful, but the girls aren't. These days German girls are used to being surrounded by brown incels, so they've mastered the ability to freeze men out and defuse their attention.

What other option is there besides travel? Why the hell would I rot at "home" all winter long when the world is full of interesting places to visit? Yeah, sometimes travel sucks, but that's life. Get over it. I've visited 100+ towns on three different continents and spent less than $1000/month in the process.

Forgot to clarify: actual daily average on this site includes airfare and visas. Adjusted daily average only includes in-country expenses.

The truth is, if it weren't for my height, I would get zero attention whatsoever from women. Being over 6' I can make them look my way, but even when they're curious, they're never turned on.

absolutely, 100% not

most people just don't go to prostitutes or pick up slum girls

but a big chunk of (young) solo travelers devote a major part of their travels to get sex
typically with other solo travelers

in the 2000s, when I started (solo) traveling during high school
in literally every solo travel forum online,
people discussed the best hostels strictly rated by how easy / convenient it is to have sex

do people really forget that some hostels literally had "couples corners" / "love shacks" or whatever similar they called it??

only got less in the 2010s
coincidentally my sleep got worse, because more people just had sex in their rooms, which is fucking annoying

like actual deformities or just a lazy retard and boring loser?

if you're /fit/, not dressed like a slob, 2 points above a butterface and can talk at least about your travels (that's like 90% of the conversations anyway)
you're already above average in most relevant hostels / locations

solo travelers are rarely model types
4 out of 5 times it's some average uni girl who isn't popular enough to have a girls trips
so instead travels solo to feel special for the first time in her life
and that's ok
just turn your expectations down a bit and make her feel special

I'm absurdly celibate. I met an 18 year old british black girl who was clearly fishing for dick at the hostel and hung out with her and another guy to see the sights and she was rubbing up on me and stuff and later I went down to the basement bar at night and saw her and kind of waved her off like 'hey hi I don't want to fuck you' and she ended up hooking up with some other dude. I am just too old and weary for that stuff.

well that's a great start
and if people like talking to you, you already made it
if not, do more things you could talk about and get better at story telling
>but I got no real rizz like chads at the club do.
that's a myth
almost no one has that
clubs are retarded for meeting women anyway
80% of my encounters come from tagging along some group to bar hop and hooking up with someone from that group
if you're reasonably social, that's the easiest way

>>2803693
>Bald with a misaligned jaw and crooked teeth
baldness is a way smaller deal than guy online make you think
for the rest get surgery and/or braces
at least in my country, health insurance will even pay for it if you get a psychological report that it seriously lessens your quality of life (which are very easy to get)

maybe I just go to the wrong places / hostels
but if I travel for more than 2 weeks I can almost guarantee that it happens once

maybe you're just to young
again, these rooms basically disappeared since like 10 or 15y ago

I went to Berlin a couple of years ago for the nightlife, it was one of the best experience ever. Imo don't go there with a hookup mentality, you'll look like a hardo. Don't worry about going alone to a club, just know the lineup before (resident advisor is your friend) to get accepted in and strike up conversations with people there who are chilling.

>What motivates you to travel if so?
The views and scenery? Seeing new things that you don't normally do at home?

I hardly ever talk to people when I travel besides saying hello on the trails. Beyond that I leave it up to them if they want to initiate an actual conversation. Same goes for in bars or restaurants. I'm usually just there to eat, if people want to talk i'll entertain them but I won't reach out first. Usually end up having lots of older people question what i'm doing roadtripping solo and off on trails by myself. I don't mind sharing and it's usually pleasant to speak with them about why we're on each others journeys or places we've been.

There can be lots of cute young women out there too but at least in my experience if they are solo they will be very shy which is fine. Unless they want to talk or need help I'm not going to bother people out on trails. The ones in groups are usually with bf/husband, family, or girl power. Funny enough (for younger folk, in my experience) usually it's the women that will be nice and chat a bit when you pass them or if you're heading on the same trail while the guy just is quiet.

I barely go into big cities and I don't nightlife besides stargazing for photos so it's very limited on how many (solo) women you see that actually want to go beyond just talking all things considered.

Nightlife sucks anon. I can enjoy a low key bar, that’s about it. Anything with loud ass music and dancing attracts the worst people. No one actually enjoys being at a crowded sweaty nightclub except people on molly or coke.

I do wish there was a place to talk about traveling without sex tourism involved. I ask some guy in a thread if he recommends some place in japan and he says "oh man yeah that place is great, it had so many prostitutes, definitely go".
Or I read a long post praising some city only to find out at the end that it's because of the drugs and sex he had in clubs there. It's getting hard to tell if I'm getting recommendations I'd actually like or just hot spots for sex, one day I'll end up in some place in thailand surrounded by ladyboys or something and not know why.

You ever considered you're actually petty and unfuckable and you travel to places that nobody wants to fuck you because you're an asshole? I'm not saying that's the case but it's always an option.
Anonymous No.2806871
If you're not doing it for sex reasons, it eventually gets tiresome if you're alone with no gf/wife.
Every place eventually looks the same just different coating.
I used to travel a lot especially in places where prostitutes were too expensive, taboo and/or hard to get, let's not even talk about non-prostitutes.
And it gets lonely and tiresome, you see all those couples having fun and sharing an experience and you just rush yours and end up alone at your hotel.
Fuck that. Why not both?
Even if you try hard and play the game and try to date in Europe, NW Asia, it's hard as fuck as an average dude, you won't get shit. I tried and went to countless places and nightlife spots and couldn't land a single thing.
Now I just go where I can secure sex and comfort and it makes me way more happy and grounded, I don't have to think about it all the time, it's not ruining my mental health, I'm enjoying myself and then from there I plan my trip as I go.

It's just overrepresented on 2025 4chins, it's all populated by bottom of the barrel trash which does not actually like the hobby itself and would gladly stay home if they had access to the same third world whores and sluts unleashed from consequences of their choices. /trv/ used to be A LOT better years back. As were all the hobby boards in general.
There's loud online whoremongers and party hostels that are packed with drunken people in their early 20s who went with precisely one goal in mind, but this is just a small slice of all private travel. Plenty of people go just to see a place different than home, escape the weather or have something to brag about to others.

Why would my presence bother a bear? Bears have never had a threat or predator response to me. They know how to read body language. The biggest concern is a fed bear getting casually aggressive in pursuit of human food - not something that happens in the wilderness.

Photography, food, and mountain climbing nowadays. At one point, it was to be that uncle or cousin who did all the cool shit, but in recent years I've noticed they don't really give a shit about the parts of it that are actually cool. It always boils down to:
>Anon, you should write a book about your travels!
>Anon, are the girls in Sweden better than the US?
>Anon, I heard people get kidnapped all the time in (very safe country), be very careful
>t. Retard who has never traveled outside of their own state
Regardless, photography is mostly it. I'd like to display my works at some point in an exhibit. Nothing fancy, just something cool. As for food, I worked as a cook for a bit, and when it wasn't a big reason why my ex stayed with me as long she did, it also just gave me more or less appreciation for the stuff I ate. Mountain climbing is self explanatory. Keeps me somewhat /fit/ and it's pretty fun.

All that said, I'd like to actually fuck someone or meet a person I'd actually like around. Casual sex isn't really part of my dictionary and I tend to get attached pretty easy. Combine this with the fact that 99.9% of seasonal workers or backpackers are looking for something short term, with probably only 1% of the other .1% actually having a functional real relationship where both people are actually happy, and you can guess that I just don't make shit work out.
