Holy shit I didn't think it was possible to have a more bland place than Seoul but wow, just wow this place has surprised me.
Bar and club culture is nearly the worst in Asia with random hours, heavily male/female segregated, all with high fees.
Stupidly expensive HSR given the distance and quality of it, and here I thought KOR was bad.
Museums and stuff are laughably bad in 'hiding' their propaganda for Taiwan.
If you want to do anything you best be sure you have a local phone # that accepts text messages because every place wants an ID or local phone number to order or login to the app to order even KFC.
The indian food and kebab is utter trash you can't get proper doner or naan anywhere...
Outdoor shrines or parks are either just straight up closed, only open for 4hrs a day by appointment that you wouldn't know until you got there because it's for tour buses mainly, or just straight up no one there despite being "open" on their website.
The trains go no where good so you're constantly needing to use the bus service or hire a car
beaches in the North are too hot and over run, I heard the south has better cooler air from the ocean thoug
And worst of all every place you want to visit is filled to the brim with bus loads of tourists and it's ALWAYS the stereotypical Chinese family. I though Americans were bad but these people treat the area they are in if it was their own. I've been shoved out of the way for families to ignore lines at restaurants or stores more times than I've thought possible. No wonder this place is not talked about. Am I missing something? Looking at ending my Airbnb early to go to Chechang
