this literally only happened with those first gen 747s that ised the upper deck as a first class passenger lounge. Every generation after had that deck converted into more seats. It was used as a berthing area for the 747 cargo planes which were the last versions of the 747 manufactured. It is the greatest production passenger aircraft ever made. I am so glad that I got to experience multiple 747s as they are quickly being retired since most currently in service are 40+ years old
