>Rome
What to definitely see?
What to not see?
Where to eat?
Nightlife?
I'm spending 4days there next week.

don't come, go home, stay where u are and do not visit our city.

>What to definitely see?
trevi fountain, vittorio enmanuelle museum, very nice parks if youre into that, and the two big roman hitory museums (p. borghesse, museum of roman history near termini.
The big 4 papar churches, S. Maria Maggiore will have a long cue bc the last pope was burried there, so sadly you'll miss that one, S Paulo fdm is, as its name says, outside the walls, so its a long way from the center. It is quite nice however, and you might be interested in seing the st. sebastian catacombs.
when it comes to catacombs however st.clement is top, is an irish run church and has churches from the pre christian era up to the modern era in its underground.
other notable churches include:
st cosma, st ignatius, and st maria in portico near the jewish ghetto.

you can easily find a list of impressive churches to see in rome.

some nice sightseeing includes the teatro in the jewish ghetto, the colisseum, and the varios piazzas (navonna, fiori despite being full of indians) and some sunset spots in gianniccolo, on top of the vittorio enmanuelle monument and on top of piazza del popolo.

visiting castello st angelo is worth it, and so is the vatican museum and st peters basilica, if you come here on the last sunday of the month most museums are free
>What to not see?
the pantheon is more impressive outside than inside, you can sneak your way in during service if you dont look lke a backpacker, but youll waste an hour trying to blend in, the colisseum is teh same, better to see from outside. .dont fall for turist traps on food, many places have an inidan outside beconing you to come and eat, its almost always bad food, dyor on the food you eanna eat or buy at the supermarket, the food is cheap and high quality especially milk products.

dont skip bus tickets, or avoid long rides within the tourist areas or the historical center

>Where to eat?
most high reviewd places on google are fine, avoid the city center, dont pay more than 4 euros for icecream, street food and fast food is just as good as restaurant food (italian fast food is things like pasta and homemde pizza, not hamburgers, so its not as unhealthy). quick bite places and places where poor eople nd locals go to eat will always be better than those filled with posh looking people who just go there to sit with a laptop
>Nightlife?
plenty of clubs, im more of a rave guy so i cant say much, a lot of the things are outside the historical center, but you can club hop around the prati monti area and even termini area, although termini is overrun by druggies and moroccans so ure likely to get stabbed or robbed if youre roming round late at night. Plenty of erasmus students who cmoe here and wanna hook up

>I'm spending 4days there next week.
4 is prrobably enough, if can extend it then better, if u cant afford it book night trips to cities like bologna or verona or even venice or turin. have fun and please dont fucking come the prices are unsustainble

Already paid for flights and apartment, bucko.
Thanks for all the tips, I'll rightfully avoid the kike related shit since I ain't no fan of long nosed tribes but please develop on the parks worth visiting because that's more of my liking.
I'll be walking a ton, when last visited Barcelona I walked maybe 25km a day so I expect Rome to be the same
I'll check the sunset spots.
I tried to book a ticket for the vatican museums and it's not available nor is the ticket I wanted for the colosseum, I guess I'll need to buy from a tour provider.
As for nightlife I want some place where I can buy beer at a reasonable price, sit and listen to some music, nothing fancy nor all night party style clubs.

It's my second visit to Italy, last time I went to Milano and stayed way to far away from the city center to save money and the overall experience wasn't that great but I love your country so I need to try again.
And if Rome train station is anything like Milano it will indeed be rough around there but I'm a decent sprinter kek.

spent 3 days in Rome last year and can give some ideas, as i booked last minute and rushed through the entire city

The Vatican Museum is mandatory to visit. The gallery of Tapestries by Raphael, the gallery of maps, the sistine chapel, and Saint Peter’s Basilica. I suggest paying a bit and climbing to the top of Saint Peter’s Basilica, it's an impressive view.
Galleria Borghese is the most extravagant art gallery i have seen in the world. I strongly reccomend it. Pair it with the nearby park.
I really enjoyed the ruins at the Roman Forum. Bring a hat + water, Rome is very very hot in the summer. If you book your tickets right, the Colosseum ticket includes the Roman Forum. They are adjacent to each other, you can see them back to back.
Visit the Pantheon, I enjoyed it, to appreciate the architecture. If you visit the Pantheon, stop by the Church of Saint Louis of the French, it's like 2 blocks away. I had a habit of walking inside every church I saw, it was fun.
skip the Mouth of Truth unless you care a ton, there's little to see unless you care.
I enjoyed the Baths of Caracalla, they are massive, but probably skip this if you only have 4 days. i felt impressed by the size of the space. it's also quiet, not a ton of tourists.
I would visit a catacombs, i did not get a chance to on my trip (couldnt reserve tickets). I intended to see the Domus Aurea, it has a lot of history (was the emperor's old garden/palace).

you MUST reserve tickets in advance for most sites. Colosseum, Galleria Borghese, Pantheon, Vatican. Tickets sell out weeks in advance. If you cant find tickets buy them from the scummy resellers viator, i was forced to do that for the vatican and Galleria Borghese

Also, if you've been to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (one of my favorite museums globally), you'll appreciate Rome a lot more. They have a cast of Trajan's Column there, and they have the sketches Raphael made for the hall of Tapestries.

>parks
piazza borghese, parco gianicolo, orto botanico and parque belverde are all good parks, the last three are close by, Belverde is a bit farther than the city center and much much bigger so its up to you if you wanna see that.
other good parks are villa torlona and parco delle aqcuedotti, torlona is close to the cente but you must go by foot, aqcuedotti is far but is connected to the metro. walking alongsie the tiber river is also enjoyable
>metro
there are a lot of pickpockets, they are active on all metro stations and are active since 9 am until 11. Most pickpockets are little gypsy girls with saddlebags or coats over their arms, someitmes latino men are pickpocketing too, watch out entering or exciting the metro as thats where people tend to gather and they enter our hands in their pockets. dont touch the girls as they are mostly minors and the police will arrest you and not them (the gypsies send them intentionally because of that) the latinos do whaterver you want. keep most belongings in a puch on the front and make sure the zipper is alwyas closed, they are trained to open it without you noticing. avoid putting valuable things in pockets.
The metro is almost always full and crowded and the lines dont go through the city center (obviously) lol
>nightlife
go to san lorenzo, popular student club, full of commie hummanities studients with wolf cuts and nose pericings, the beers are cheap tho. watch out for somalies that hang around the parks around san lorenzo as they get feisty when drunk
Anonymous No.2809247

>san lorenzo
san lorenzo is a neighborhood, not a club, there are plenty of chea clubs around the neighborhood tho, there is in the corner between via degli umbri and via del volsci.

oh and btw, don't come, we are full of turists already.

>the last three are close by
the last three are close to eachother* as in, you can walk easily between them. however, they are all on the left side of the city which is disconnected fromt the metro.

everything is beautiful but the one absolute must see is the Galleria Borghese which you should've probably reserved four months ago; the second must-see is the Vatican Museum which you are likewise too late for; and if you want something off the beaten path I'll always recommend the Tre Fontane churches, monastic brewery and Taco Bell
Public transportation in Rome is absolutely superb.
There's really nothing you cant see and nothing you cant eat. Night life is surprisingly hard to really get a good night club; consider getting those needs met elsewhere because Rome is the center of Catholic Christianity, the former Roman Empire, classical and neoclassical art and architecture, food, and everything good in life - you can save the partying hard for another trip.
I've been to Rome three times and I'll go back for a fourth once married.

Fucking A bro, appreciate the recommendation and will definitely look into some of them. Yeah I noticed the in advance ticket buying thing, can't seem to be able to buy a Vatican museum ticket as of now other than going through tour providing channels.

>>2809245
Duly noted, lots of parks to checkout and that's a great thing because as I've said I like to walk and wander through different streets maybe more so than going to a specific building or monument.

Ain't too worried about pickpocket cunts, I'm arriving with just a small backpack with a few clothes inside. Phone is a cheap one, no expensive camera or jewelry other than my trusty garmin watch so I think I'm alright, printless small wallet just for id and debit card, not even carrying drivers license or passport because I don't intend to drive and I'm a EUfag.

Not a spring chicken to hang near students bars but goddamn pierced, wolf cut commie chicks sounds kino.
Two questions, what's the alternative to uber and is there any Tiber tours worth doing?
Anonymous No.2809259
Oh fuck I mistook wolf cut with chelsea, the former looks very cute actually.

Be aware of pick pockets at all time. Just general advice when traveling to Europe as it's the #1 crime capital in the West, but places like Rome are especially bad with theft. And I literally mean be aware, always. Can't put your guard down cuz shit WILL be taken.

You can still get individual tickets to the Vatican Museum and Galleria Borghese through the scummy ticket resellers i mentioned. I also booked my trip last minute and had to buy tickets to both the Vatican Museum and Galleria Borghese through resellers. these companies buy the tickets up in advance and resell them for twice the price. the two biggest resellers are viator and tiquets. They are legit.

Right now on tiquets they have the "Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel: Fast Track Ticket" for €35, the regular price is €25. I bought my ticket from here and it's quite convenient, you walk all the way up to the front at your reserved time and skip the line with 500 people and avoid all the tour groups.
Same shit for Galleria Borghese, search for "Borghese Gallery: Reserved Entrance" on tiquets. Currently €34, snap this shit up fast because it WILL sell out.

I did not mention but Rick Steves (famous travel guy) made great audio guides for rome. There's over a dozen. I used his guides when visiting the Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, Trastevere Walk, and the Vatican Museums. Especially the Vatican Museums, i liked the history.

Insane the amount of 10/10s that I've already came across in this city. Me not getting to smell any of them is a tragedy akin to the fall of Rome.

I don't have stds. Honest to god, the amount of 10/10s in this city is mind boggling, it's like someone decided to pick some of the hottest women in the world and send them to Rome, like 1h ago I saw this 188cm tall Scandinavian goddess that probably is miss Norway or something.

I've never looked at American women the same after going to Europe. I saw phenotypes there that I thought only existed in ancient times. Seven years on and I still can't believe how beautiful those women were.

I'm maybe 500m from st Peters basilica
and I'm having life changing realization that a life without any of these 10/10 qts is not woth living. I've literally came across women that I would jump on a boat now and go fight a war across the entire ocean if that meant I would get to smell their feet.

Having sex with these women is a life changing experience too. I realised that pussy is just pussy and a beautiful woman is nothing more than something nice to look at on occasion. When I see a beautiful woman I no longer wonder "what would it be like to be with her?" Now I know. If you are the kidn of person who would never in a million years be able to fuck a 10/10, I strongly suggest finding the most beautiful hooker/escort and fucking her, just to know what it's like.

Rome has been surprising in many regards, first one is the absolute beauty everywhere you look, even streets that no one knows about have a this marble statue or building facade that is drop dead gorgeous. Then the human beauty, I was enjoying my time in the Castel Sant'Angelo and there was this 20 or so years old girl that I couldn't figure out if it was a Slav or a Scandi and she looked like prime Candice Swanepoel, one of the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen and even though the view from the top of the castle was outstanding it couldn't compare to the beauty of her eyes.
But that's not the only Rome I'm experiencing, it's very sad but in all its beauty the city is dirty as fuck like third world shithole dirty, it's unbelievable they allow the streets and parks to be in such poor condition. Same goes for the Tiber, holy shit that's a neglected river if I've ever seen one.
Another thing I've found is the city to be damn safe, like I have been walking all around the place, at night too, and the worst that has happened so far was some paki or a mudshit of the like getting butthurt because I was staring at his burka wearing pig of a wife, very very safe overall.
And this leads me to the last part, the beautiful escort thing, well it's not because I have not tried looking for that but for some reason this city doesn't seem to have a lot to offer in that regard, as much distance I have covered and I'm yet to find a single strip club, couldn't find a prostitution quarter or street either maybe it's culturally not thing to have Italians pay for sex.
