What would you guys advise based on (pic related)?

orange: max distance I would go with a Flixbus = 11 hours max
red: max distance I would travel by plane
black: dont care for these areas
green: seems to peak my interest

I want to leave Switzerland for 7 days at the end of August, yet not sure where. Last week I was in Antwerpen, Brouge and Brussels. So I would not like to go there again. Not really a fan of city/urban/nightlife so I dont really care for city things... unless there is nice architecture like in Valencia. I want to be there for:

>good food
>cheap accomodation
>nice hikes


So I have currently narrowed it down to:

If you come to belgium, maybe go hiking in Ardennes, Houffalize come's to mind.

No interest in Slovakia? If you're not interested in city things it meets your criteria well.

Some underrated areas in France :
>the Moselle Valley, easy to access and navigate, not very pricey since it's not the Paris area or the more often visited Alsace region. Metz has some interesting architecture in its old town
>parts of the "empty diagonal" in the center and south-west. Aveyron, Lot, Lozère will have some great landscapes while not being very touristy OR requiring some mountaineering chops to get to the best places like you would in the Alps or Pyreneans
>the Loire Valley if you don't go there for the castle everyone goes to. Old town Tours and Angers are nice and there's some good photos to be taken of the Loire proper with its islands changing day to day due to the irregular flow
If you want some good hikes, northern Luxembourg is underrated but staying there isn't cheap and the food absolutely sucks unless you go to good restaurants (read : fancy places OR the odd italian, portuguese or chinese restaurant. There's a reason you don't know about luxembourgish cuisine)

It is a real country with both rural and urban areas, as well as actual history, unlike Singapore.

No, it's the exact opposite.
Singapore is just one city with a ton of shit going on at all time.
Luxembourg is a microcountry where you can do some countryside stuff but the towns are unbelievably boring.

Barcelona has been memed to death and probably for good reasons but its hinterland has plenty to offer. Just skip the city if you've been there and have no interest and head to the pyrenees, the girona area (costa brava) or the south (tarragona, terres de l'ebre)

there's plenty to see in Catalonia and there's something to everyone, nature, history, beach, culture and good food

hmmm went to Salzburg and Bad Gastein last year. Was....OKAY. Winter and way too cloudly atleast it snowed in Bad Gastein, but wasnt really worth it. Had literally more fun in Höhenems somewhere in Voralberg in a small village hiking around and nice accomodation.

Now I think I have narrowed it down to Prague or Krakow + Danzig and the Tatras mountains. (should I be afraid of bears, I'd be hiking alone)

Yes, there are bears in the Carpathians, I was face to face with one. Generally not an issue, the season for teens to explore is May or so.

Usually the tourist paths will be fine.

Prague, Krakow and Gdansk = 3 similar cities . Narrow it down to 2, and experience more around these places. Don't be a cityfag, there's so much more.

Prague + Krakow = allows you to cut through Silesia, and explore some very interesting industrial heritage sites.

Gdansk in summer is OP, though. As it Malbork Castle and the Mazury lake region.
