Valid point. You should take extra care to hide your addiction in Japan. Wear sunglasses to hide your bloodshot eyes. Take care that your smoke goes out into the open air and not under your room door into the hallway. You definitely want to get a room on a high floor (no pun intended) where you can smoke in peace and privacy.
