I'm planning a trip to Iceland, Faroe Islands, and Norway for this December. I've found flights and hotels. I've checked entry requirements and I don't need any visas or anything since I'll be staying less than 90 days. I know a few places I want to see in each country, although I still need to find out about public transport to get around. Obviously I'm going to pack lots of thick clothes and winter boots.
Before I finalize and book everything, what THE FUCK am I forgetting?

Did you check the transport options? Especially in Iceland, you hardly have any public transport outside of cities and you need to rent a car.

Looks like buses and guided tours are going to be the best bet there. Probably won't be cheap, but whatever.

Use entur.no for public transport in Norway, it shows every possible route between any two destinations in the entire country. Where in Norway do you want to travel to?
>what THE FUCK am I forgetting?
Norway in December is colder and darker than the ninth circle of hell

Rental car is the way to go in Iceland, especially when looking at the prices for buses and alcohol.

Bergen and Oslo. I figured I could just use public transportation and my own two feet to get around.
>Norway in December is colder and darker than the ninth circle of hell
fuck yeah

Driving outside of my home country is not an option for me, and I don't drink alcohol so I don't care how much it costs (although I don't see how that's even relevant).

Yeah, that won't be a problem in Bergen and Oslo. Both cities have excellent public transportation and also daily trains between them.

Man, I've always wanted to go to Faroe. Was in Iceland for a two day layover. If you cant drive yourself thats rough, all the natural beauty is out of town and you drive several miles from small town to small town outside of the Capitol.

If you figure out how to drive I recommend goinf to Secret Lagoon and Kerid Crater, it was amazing.

Any sort of winter gear and stuff should be water retardant. Faroe is really wet and Iceland is similar. So no thick cloth-type winter coast like suede. Also, you need a permit or pay a tax to hike in Faroe

Really? I know some hiking trails have an entrance fee, but I hadn't heard anything about taxes or permits.

If you plan on partying in Reykjavík, bring your own alcohol. Grindr is shit, it's like a village out there although you might get some tourists. Drugs are hard to come by and expensive. A gram of coke will be $300 and shit. I recommend bringing a g of meth in a baggy and swallow it. Your date will be happy you can fuck all night. Do a trip report if you party

Why do you mention Grindr instead of Tinder?

Iceland is an amazing place to visit but the public transport system is poor and there's very little daylight in December so that limits your sightseeing time by a lot
as other anons have said it's a super low population-density car-centric country so renting a car is generally the best way to see it
if you're not driving yourself definitely plan your routes in advance to make the most of the daylight with the limited public transport, consider going on scheduled tours with dedicated busses to get to the major tourist sites

yes but they're expensive, especially if you're going anywhere out of the city
there are tours with private busses to all the major tourist sites though so you don't need a car if you just take those
